I feel I have no choice but to leave…
I feel I have no choice but to leave this review after reading Kanon’s response to my husband, because the version of events he has presented is completely different from what we have experienced over the last 16 months.
It has now been approximately 16 months since our wedding and we STILL have not received the complete package we paid for. Our wedding photos took over a 13 months to arrive and, when they finally did, we were extremely disappointed with them. Our videos also took around 13 months to receive, after constant chasing, unanswered messages, repeated excuses and periods where Kanon simply stopped responding. We are still waiting for our wedding albums.
What makes this even more disappointing is that instead of acknowledging why we are understandably frustrated, Kanon has chosen to portray us as rude and unreasonable. We were patient for months. How long exactly is a customer expected to wait before they are allowed to become frustrated? These are our wedding memories, not an ordinary purchase that can simply be replaced. Kanon has previously apologised to us over the phone and told us that there had been serious issues involving photos and videos from weddings from the previous year, including telling us that he had lost a significant amount of material, which he said contributed to the delays. That is what we were told directly. If Kanon now disputes saying this, then that is for him to explain.
I was also extremely disappointed that Kanon decided to bring religion into his response and tell my husband that he should encourage me to convert to Islam. My religion or whether I choose to convert has absolutely nothing to do with the wedding service we paid for. If someone chooses to bring Islam and morality into a business dispute, then they should also remember the importance Islam places on honesty, fulfilling promises and giving people what they are rightfully owed.
After the experience we have had, I find it completely inappropriate for Kanon to be advising anybody about religion or my personal beliefs. He should concentrate on fulfilling the service we paid him for rather than commenting on whether I should convert. He sets prime example of how Muslims shouldn’t behave.
We have extensive communication showing the timeline, the chasing, the promises and the explanations we have been given. I have deliberately chosen not to attach screenshots and other evidence to this review at this stage because I had hoped this could still be resolved professionally. However, if the claims being made about us continue or the matter remains unresolved, I am prepared to update this review with the relevant screenshots and evidence so that people can see the communications and judge the situation for themselves.
There were also family members and others present throughout our wedding who witnessed aspects of our experience. They are entitled to share their own genuine experiences which they will be doing so.
I completely reject the suggestion that we have simply been rude or unreasonable. If our tone became more confrontational after months of chasing, that needs to be viewed in context. 16 months after our wedding, we still do not have everything we paid for. I think people reading this can decide for themselves whether it’s frustration or justified
I genuinely did not want to leave a review like this. We have given Kanon numerous opportunities and an extraordinary amount of time to resolve this. We do not want anything extra and we do not want an ongoing argument with Vip Media Group. We simply want the complete service we paid for and our outstanding wedding albums. A wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime event. The photos, videos and albums are memories that cannot be recreated, and I cannot put into words how disappointing and upsetting this entire experience has been. I have attached some photos of how Kanon goes awol after making a promise. In Sha Allah Kanon will be punished severely for his lies and ruining peoples wedding experiences.I shall pray to God about justice till day of judgement.
