Much better prices than other sites abd the service is excellent. The people I have spoken to have been super helpful and friendly. A very speedy process, pack, post and paid within 3 days

So glad I tried Was Gathering Dust
Had previously sent my stuff to another company, but when they rang with their offer I was very disappointed and asked them to return my items. I then thought I would just try “Was Gathering Dust” and was I glad I did, I was offered nearly twice as much, which I gratefully accepted. My advice is to go to “ Was Gathering Dust” they are the best. Thank you, so pleased

Efficient service but very disappointing offer
Was happy with efficiency of receipt of box of jewellery that I sent to Was Gathering Dust using prepaid label. Had phone call next day and was offered only £40 for 84 items. I had enclosed some silver and amber items and a watch which I am sure were collectively worth more than £40.
Very disappointing experience, would not recommend or use again

I understand your disappointment and frustration, especially knowing that the original cost of your items was significantly higher. Unfortunately, modern fashion jewellery tends to lose its value over time, which is why resale prices are generally lower.

Excellent service, easy to follow instructions through the post which included a personalised number card with my details on it to pop into the parcel which also came with a prepaid postage label . Was contacted by the lovely Angela a few days later with an offer which I accepted and the money was transferred to my bank immediately! Highly recommend.. thank you !

What a simple easy process
What a simple easy process, contacted gathering dust who sent me an information pack that included a delivery label and a card with my details , popped my items in a box took it to the post office and within a day or two got a call
With my offer and monies were in the same day . Brilliant service

Disappointing offer
I spoke to someone on the phone and was told I'd get a good price, much more than if they were sold on ebay. They quickly sent the postage pack and contacted me within a few days of me posting my box.
I sent over 50 items including lots of hallmarked jewellery, and vintage items but was only offered £25. Ridiculous! I asked for them to be returned to me which they have done.

Great service from this company
I used this company to get rid of some old costume jewellery, and few odd bits. They straight away sent me the package I needed to send my box . I took it to post office and within 3 days of doing so , a very nice lady called me with an offer. It was very reasonable and I accepted . Within a day the money was in my back account . Very pleased with the service and courtesy I was shown by the company. Will definitely use them again and certainly recommend them .

I put a bad review on because there was a weeks delay on any notification.This was down to the wonderful post office service that took their time to deliver a first class package and not this company.
Their service was extremely prompt when the package eventually arrived and payment was payed in without any delay.
I would advise them to inform customers more clearly about postal times.
I would thoroughly recommend them.

Quick and very easy
Sorted out various bits and bobs that were hanging around and sent them off to WGD. 2 days later I got a phone call with a decent offer, within 2 hours the money was in my account!
What I really liked was that I had sent some costume jewellery in with other stuff and the lady told me that they give stuff like that to the local hospice to sell in their shop. So not only did I make a bit of money but I helped their hospice too!
Will definitely use again.

I recently had some items returned to me by Vintage Cash Cow after rejecting a very poor offer. I then decided to have one more try with another company and I’m so glad I did. Everything ran to clockwork and I received an excellent offer within a few days. Which I readily accepted. The money was in my bank within an hour. Returned my items broken
Sent my mum's old costume jewellery in for valuation and was offered £20 for it all so I got it returned. (I've since sold only a couple of items for more than that!). However, that wasn't my issue. I received my jewellery back with chains tangled in knots, a jewel missing from its setting on one choker and one bead necklace completely snapped with beads missing. These were not broken when they left me. Not happy.
