This company owned by Unilever has now closed its doors, they didn't let anyone know this was happening and I only found out when I tried chasing my order.
I've emailed them but still no answer as I'd like to know where my details have gone i.e name, address and bank details.
So would someone at Unilever like to get off there backside and reply.

I saw these advertised on facebook and thought they looked good value. HOWEVER, they are actually the same price as the more quality subscription brand smol (you just get less of them in the pack so you pay less per pack but get less pods) and don't clean anywhere near as well.

The smell is actually off-putting - surely you need a laundry pod to smell nice at the very least????

Worst of all for me this is a MASSIVE multi-national company promoting itself on facebook as a small independent with pictures of "co-founders" and after my friend pointed out the capsules looked exactly like her Surf ones we compared them and discovered they are made by the same company... UNILEVER hmmmm - her Surf ones smelled nice and were cheaper.....

The website is manageable although the option to cancel is hidden and certainly not obvious - however that's often the case with these businesses.

The packaging is partly recyclable but not adequate to protect the pods. They need something sturdier imo - it is a flimsy packet in a box and if the box gets damaged the pods are vulnerable. This makes for a messy experience when you open the pack.

Overall the poor performance of the pods and the lack of transparency about the company earns it 1 star.

I ordered the trial pack of these and when they turned up, the package was massive and didn't fit though my standard sized letterbox. The postman (or woman!) had to leave them outside.
The reason the pack is so big is the individual capsules are really big and heavy. I recognised the capsules because I used to buy Surf capsules from the Poundshop and they looked the same.
I found out online that they actually ARE Surf capsules that have been repackaged and renamed. It turns out Homey and Surf are both owned by Unilever... what a CON!!
Why do big companies try to masquerade behind fake companies. If I wanted Surf capsules, I would buy Surf capsules and throw them on the doorstep and save me the hassle. Grrrrr!! : (

I usually order from Smol for laundry tablets and never had any problems etc, so thought I would give Homey a go as their offer was slightly better, and the facebook ad very enticing.

My clothes came up clean, and there were plenty of bubbles in the washing machine whilst on its cycle, but by god the clothes were stinking. Not sure why and a wash with Smol managed to get the smell back out and clothes were really fresh smelling again.

I tried another wash in case it wasnt the Homey tablets, but nope. Bedding smells horrible after use. I can only liken the smell to either damp or wet dog. It made the house smell really bad, but again a quick wash with an alternative and the smell was gone.

Just to add that we are a dog free and smoke free household, and never had this smell with any other detergents.

I was hoping for a slightly cheaper alternative to Smol, but Homey isnt it unfortunately.

These cleaned well, but I really, really, really dislike the smell. It's overpowering and has a weird tang and it overpowers any fabric conditioner I add to try to smother it.

I recently tried smol and found smol much nicer smelling. I also feel the advertising is a bit cynical and harps on about values etc... The values seem to be basically 'we deliver these to you, aren't we great?' And it's Unilever, not a cosy little start up as they seem to want you to think.

I saw an advert on facebook and investigated their facebook homepage - it gives the impression of a young group of people setting up a company it even calls them co-founders - THIS IS NOT TRUE and I feel misled. This company is owned by Unilever and is not an independent start up at all. Sneaky.

The capsules themselves arrived quickly but they are decidedly average performance wise - definitely worse than my usual brand that is for certain (and with a deeply cloying smell).

Bizarrely out of nowhere - I randomly received an email from one of the so-called "co-founders" saying they had cancelled my account. I have absolutely no idea why they did this - I had not contacted them to ask for this or sent any emails at all to them. I wrote back to ask what was going on and they replied to say they had "made a mistake". No apology or explanation.

Incredibly poor customer experience.

It was the final straw as the whole outfit appears poorly run and the capsules themselves aren't good enough to put up with supporting a Unilever company on top of everything else.

Fantastic! Simple, straightforward and a great product! I am loving Homey. It arrives on time and the product is great. Cleans my dirty wash well and smells lush.

So disappointed in these. 2 pods burst in post - photos below - packaging is just a bag in a box.These need to be packaged in something robust as the pods have to travel in the postal system and arrive intact and they are delicate. Having a soft wrapper over a soft flimsy tray is not sufficient. The company needs to address this and also make the packaging recyclable - which it isn't.

Having burst pods turn up is not pleasant and the detergent is not meant to come into contact with your skin - it also smells like pine toilet cleaner so I would be very worried about getting this directly onto your skin.

When I tried to cancel I had to hunt around - I emailed to ask what to do and I never heard back. I then finally found how to cancel but I still haven't had confirmation that this has happened - no email at all. Bad service and poorly executed.

Am going to try smol that my friend has tried and says are good.
