I sold a car to WeBuyAnyCar (Brookline…update. I just want to say that Webuyanycar reached out. Jim, the Manager did a good job when dealing with my family. I would add a star to this review.
I sold a car to WeBuyAnyCar (Brookline Office) on Saturday, 10/19/2024.
I want to say that Jim was very pleasant to deal with. That being said, your website should state that there is a $399.00 fee for transactions, title, forms, etc. that will be deducted from the price of the car. Also the appraisal of the car was 9444.00. The appraisal also showed one accident which we were unaware of. We were told by Jim that he could not tell what kind of accident it was. We do not know if it was a severe accident or a minor fender bender. When we went for our appointment and Jim test drove and inspected the car he came back with an offer of 4006.10. I understand that when you fill out the info on the website you should expect some devaluation on the initial appraisal. But seriously, almost half! Unfortunately we are trying to liquidate an estate and needed to dispose of the car sooner rather than later. I certainly would never go to any WeBuyAnyCar branch again.

We’re sorry to find out our processing fee came as a surprise to you. We value transparency and do list that we charge a fee to complete the sale in our disclaimers, both on our website and in emails you receive about your valuation. We have this information listed under our FAQ page and our Branch Manager should have been upfront with the information. Our leadership team would be happy to investigate to ensure this was communicated clearly during your appointment.
Regarding the accident, we understand that accident history can be frustrating, especially when you may not be aware of it. During every appointment we run a third-party, industry-standard vehicle history report like CARFAX and Experian AutoCheck. If these reports return information about a prior accident, we need to take that into consideration when making our firm offer. Unfortunately, accident history is a big red flag for many buyers regardless of the severity. I see noted on the report in March 2022 there was an accident reported and there was damage to the front and left side of the vehicle. There is damage and repairs noted to the bumper, radiator, and grille.
I have asked the Area Manager to personally reach out to you so we can review your appointment together and address your concerns. We want all our customers to have a positive experience and it’s clear we missed the mark and could have done a better job communicating with you. We owe it to you to work through these issues and give you the 5-star experience we’re known for.

I thought it was a stress-free and fair experience. Matthew was great to work with and the whole thing only took about an hour. My only note is that I missed the building initially because I was looking for a lot. It is more of a building with a garage and a side parking lot.

Customer Service at its BEST
I spoke with two different people at the Brookline, PA location; Jim O'Connor and Bernard. Both were GREAT customer-centric people and I think they would be people I would be comfortable being social with. The customer service was great. We talked about our families along the way, the appointment lasted about an hour and I didn't mind one bit, all the paperwork was completed and delivered to us to take with us and the check was cut. We got a wonderful deal on a car that I thought was going to cost us money to get rid of. I recommend this company and this location highly.
