The offer was absolutely rediculous. I would be very wary of their prices. It's like they are low balling you. Sellers please check other places or look on JD Powers or Kelly Blue Book first. Just be careful before tou sell to them.

JD Power and KBB do not buy cars. They will not cut you a check for any valuation you may see online. They make money selling leads to dealers who pay for your contact information. Those dealers have no obligation to pay you that price and are usually more interested in selling you a car with a high profit margin, than matching a number from a site you saw online that they purchased your contact information from.

Don't trust the offer given online
The offer given initially online was much higher than the actually offer given when you bring the car in, despite nothing being found in their inspection. It felt very much like a bait-and-switch maneuver.
The people on site were nice, but the company's approach is not honest. Every issue that was found in the inspection was disclosed online during the initial offer process, so the huge drop in value doesn't make sense.

Bait and switch is an illegal and immoral business practice and does not happen at webuyanycar.com. We do rely on our customers to tell us about any issues with the vehicle when requesting an online valuation. When you valued the vehicle on our website on 1/4/2024 at 2:52 PM, you disclosed a chip on the passenger side fender which to us, is fair wear and tear.
Like any professional buyer, we always appraise the vehicle before we make an offer and there were additional battle scars that had not been disclosed to us. The front bumper was cracked and broken and there were several large dents around the body of the vehicle. When we discovered these issues we had to adjust the price we could offer for the vehicle.
While our leadership team has been unsuccessful at reaching you by phone and email, we noticed you returned several days later and sold the Honda to us after all. We had an independent third-party company inspect the vehicle and they identified even more reconditioning costs than we did. Using the standard NAAA vehicle condition grading scale we rated the Honda a 2.97 while the independent inspector rated the vehicle a 2.5.
I'm pleased to see that despite the undeclared issues, we were able to make you an offer you were happy to accept. We remain committed to giving you the 5-star experience. Our leadership team would still value a conversation so we can better communicate how we arrived at the price we did. Tyler was very personable. Although I thought my vehicle was worth more than they were willing to pay. Since they were going to flip the vehicle it needed to be repainted. I’m sure I could have gotten more with a private buyer. But I didn’t have the time nor patience. So I’m glad my vehicle is going to a good home.
