I do see that during the web valuation on 12/03/24 at 2:36 PM that the user declined to enter any damage about the 2013 BMW 5 Series. Our online valuation tool is great for getting an idea of what your vehicle is worth, but it’s based off the information provided to us by our customers. It is not a firm offer to buy your car, because like any reputable buyer, we need to perform a physical appraisal of the vehicle to confirm condition first.

Condition plays an integral part in a vehicle’s resale value, and we need to inspect the vehicle for any issues. I see from the notes our Branch Manager identified a fluid leak and engine noise which were a cause for concern. We went to our pricing team to try and maximize the amount we could offer. Unfortunately, these new damage items negatively impacted what we could pay.

You should have been invited to join us as we inspected the car so you could see what we saw. Hopefully you were invited to ask any questions you may have and were provided with clear, transparent answers. Our leadership team will investigate these matters and reach out to you directly. Please be on the lookout for our calls.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback about your experience. We’re sorry we couldn’t meet your expectations regarding price which soured your overall experience. Our leadership team takes customer service seriously and we have made multiple attempts to reach you regarding this issue.

No two vehicles are the same and condition plays an important role in a vehicle’s resale value. While there are 2003 GMC Envoy’s for sale online, each one has a different vehicle history and condition report which will dictate pricing. Reviewing the notes of your online valuations that occurred on 09/18/24 and 10/13/24 both were completed without any damage disclosed online. Our online pricing tool is great for getting an idea of what your vehicle is worth, but it’s based off the information provided. When our pricing algorithm was told the vehicle was in good working condition it provided a valuation that matched the reported condition.

Like any reputable buyer we need to perform a physical appraisal to confirm condition. Unfortunately, our Branch Manager discovered a variety of damage we were previously unaware of. We’re not worried about dings and dents but big-ticket items that can impact the mechanical, structural, and safety features of the vehicle. As you noted in your review, there was noise under the hood, but it wasn’t just engine nose that negatively impacted what we could offer. The vehicles check engine light was also illuminated, and there were several areas where rust had formed and chewed through the exterior of the vehicle.

Hopefully you were invited to join us during our appraisal of your vehicle so you could see what we see. Our leadership team is eager to investigate to ensure everything was communicated properly. Our Area Manager has made numerous attempts to reach you to discuss your experience 1 on 1.
