nice app, sneaky billing
application itself is quite nice and comprehensive. Subscription and renewal process is borderline fraudulent, though. I have cancelled my apple subscription in 2023 after realizing it was not "lifetime" subscription, as promised, but somehow managed to be charged in 2024, 2025 for the "yearly plan". there is no clear billing page on welltory site in your profile, no notifications about renewal, invoices, payment notification etc., just a sneaky charge on your credit card, which they refuse to cancel if you are over 2 days late to notice (you have to cancel by chat, which is also not too straightforward, but seems to be working to some degree, until they loose interest to chat with you)

A quick note: subscriptions purchased via the Apple App Store are billed and managed by Apple, which is why there isn’t a full billing page in a Welltory web profile. That said, we do our best to keep the process transparent, including providing Help Center instructions and sending a payment receipt after each renewal, so charges are easier to recognize. If you were charged in 2024/2025 after canceling in 2023, we’d really like to review your case (including the exact subscription type, dates, and Apple account used) and clarify what happened. Please contact us via the app so we can securely check the details: Menu → scroll down → Report a problem → Send (you can attach the renewal receipts/charge dates). Inconsistent data, you can score excellent for health one minute then really poor the next time. I tried to subscribe for 1 month to test it but it automatically took the annual subscription. Despite many emails and messages to Welltory within the first 5 days of taking out the subscription it has not been cancelled and refunded. Very poor responses.

About the changing scores: Welltory readings can vary from one measurement to the next depending on conditions (movement, breathing, time of day, recent activity, caffeine, sleep, etc.). We recommend taking measurements in similar conditions and focusing on trends over several days rather than a single result, but we understand that big swings can feel confusing and we’re sorry it wasn’t clear.
About the subscription: We’re also sorry you were charged for an annual plan when you intended to test for one month. We never want the purchase flow to feel misleading. Subscriptions purchased via the App Store/Google Play are managed by those platforms, but we’re happy to help review your case and guide you through the correct refund process. Please contact us via the app so we can securely check the details and assist faster: Menu → scroll down → Report a problem → Send (include the charge date and the email/receipt used for the purchase). We’ll look into it as a priority.

It doesn’t allow for anything other than a “normal” schedule. My job requires a swing shift of 12 hr days rotated each week…..I would love some insight into how to navigate that or even understanding of it.

Thanks for the feedback. Welltory uses fixed time blocks: morning starts at 5 am, evening at 8 pm, and night at 3 am. Because of that, we recommend taking morning measurements after 5 am. If you measure around 4 am, the app still treats it as nighttime, as if you haven’t started your day yet.
We know this doesn’t fit everyone’s schedule, and we understand that early risers can be affected by this. Adding a customizable personal schedule is something we’re planning for the future.

Yearly Renewal and yearly experience
I joined Welltory and have been with them for a year, all their info that tracks with my watch has been spot on to the point to where I trust it completely, I have other health issues and it corresponds with my pain and basically tells me when to rest, tracks my sleep, in my opinion this app is extremely helpful, I’m retired and on a fixed income and Olivia sent me a link and discounted the rate to where an old man could afford it. I greatly appreciate their help and when I’ve had questions or needed help I reached out to them and they have been great. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

The app is great but the notifications (upgrades) are annoying. I’m already a pro user and cannot further upgrade.

If you ever want to get even more out of it, a small tip is to take measurements under similar conditions (for example, in the morning) and focus on trends over time. That’s where the insights usually become the most useful.

I have been using Weltory for a full year now. I got it last year as I was going to work on my health. Ather using for about a month, my partner gave me a lifetime supscription. And I love it! Every morning I ceck my sleep scores, and in the evening I check my stress level. I use it every day.
Last week I saw a discrapantion in my discription. Apple said I had a year supscription, Weltory said I had livetime access. I wrote an email and they helped my. I cansled my Apple supscription and trust that my lifetime will kick in.
I realy love this app. It gives good advice and you can look things up if at first you don’t understand. I lost a lot of weight.

Very helpful to see trends
I enjoy seeing all the different data points and it is very useful even if I don’t understand some. I do find that sometimes it’s contradictory when it comes to when I need to workout and when I don’t. Overall I love this app!

About the contradictions you mentioned: different sections of the app look at different types of signals. For example, your workout suggestions might be based on long-term activity patterns, while your daily readiness reflects how your body is doing right now. Shady subscription model
They auto renewed my subscription without notice. I thought I had paid for a lifetime subscription. I signed up through Apple but the subscription wasn’t listed there and I had to go to a separate website to cancel. I called them as soon as I saw the charge and they refused to refund me. They only give refunds for 3 days. Extremely disappointed in their customer service

If the subscription was purchased through the App Store, all renewal emails, reminders, and billing notifications come directly from Apple. Welltory doesn’t control those emails or the renewal timing, as Apple handles the entire billing process, including where the subscription appears and how it’s managed in your device settings.
If you signed up using Hide My Email or with a different Apple ID than expected, the subscription may not show under your visible Apple Subscriptions list. This is a common issue with hidden/relay emails. In those cases, the subscription is still Apple-managed, it just doesn’t display under the Apple ID you’re checking.
Our refund policy is outlined here: https://help.welltory.com/articles/3704644-. We refund charges that fall within that policy, but anything processed through the App Store must follow Apple’s own rules.
If you reach out from the email linked to your Welltory account or send a message through the app (Menu → Report a problem), we can look up your exact subscription path and guide you on the fastest way to resolve this. If anything can be done on our side, we’ll absolutely do it.

Not worth the money - be aware that will autorenew without notice or giving you access to cancel. Customer service has been a terrible experience. Do not trial it.

They send renewal notices/receipts to your store email and list the plan under your device’s Subscriptions settings. There are a lot of good points and limitations
There are a lot of good points for this app, especially the comprehensive information reported. But also some short comings. The biggest problem is that it relies on heart rate measurements from Apple Watch for all exercise statistics, and it frequently loses this signal during vigorous exercise so the whole session ends up not being recorded. I’ve gone back to the Apple health app for exercising, because it records time, motion, and distance as well as heartbeat to record stats. Also, I think some of the cardiac stats reported are difficult to trust since they involve interpolation from relatively few actual data points — heart rate and variability — to infer complex parameters. I also get tired of the app telling me I fell short of my goals when in reality it simply failed to record them. And I feel it fails to integrate information over time but rather gives health stats based mostly on immediate measurements. Would be great if it could give a longer term perspective. Nonetheless, I’m a lifetime subscriber and feel that overall it was money well spent, considering the alternatives.

The Apple Watch can occasionally lose the heart rate signal during intense workouts, which may cause gaps in data, so wearing it tighter or starting an Apple Workout can help. If issues persist, please send us a bug report (Menu → scroll down → Report a problem) from the app with screenshots from Apple Health and Welltory so we can check it on our side.
Our metrics are based on validated HR and HRV models, but data accuracy depends on signal quality. We’re also working on improving long-term trends and data visualization to give you a clearer view of your progress over time. Your feedback is invaluable and helps us make Welltory better for everyone.
Fantastic app, but not available for Android anymore
If the app is available it's a fantastic measurement tool for your health!
But the app is not available since last July for Android users anymore just after I paid a yearly contribution. I've contacted Welltory, they come back that they are bussy to solve this problem. Till now, November, I didn't get any feedback and the app is still not available. Very dissapointing!
