Excellent artwork & communication. Seller was very responsive every step of the process. When the delivery passed the deadline, the seller immediately contacted the shipping company who tracked it down. Seller even offered to redo the art project if shipping company could not locate it in time.

I plan to do an oil painting as each of my 10 grandchildren turn 12. The first one was just completed and it is more than beautiful. My first 12 year old granddaughter will love it. This company is very efficient and employs talented artists. How I wish I could develop portrait painting expertise!

The whole process was so easy
The whole process was so easy. I emailed the picture and what I wanted and they got back to me right away and then emailed me the completed oil paintings. What I thought was the best business practice is if I didn't like the paintings, they would it right. The paintings were for my Mom and my Aunt and they cried when they opened them, so it was worth it because they loved them.

60th Wedding Anniversary
In honor of my parents 60th wedding anniversary, I asked Whataportrait to memorialize their favorite (black and white) photo of the young couple together into a charcoal portrait. I recently received the portrait and it is absolutely beautiful beyond anything I had hoped! I’m VERY appreciative of the effort & skill that went into the artwork. Professional Staff and Talented Artist
This review is based on my first time using Whataportrait service. They are very professional in handling my inquiry and request. Intially, I went for the the 11" by 14" and thankfully, their staff recommend a 24" by 20" for color pencil (the end result turns out to be extremely well!!!), I'm glad they have provided recommendation for a larger portrait size. I had my girlfriend and her dog drawn, and she love it!. Another good thing about Whataportrait is you can request to revise the artwork, but certain elements (like head adjustment) is not reversible. In my case, additional shadow and color (true to the image provided to them) has made major improvements to the artwork (it only took one revision). I highly recommend having another set of eyes (i.e. your friend) to help with the revision.
Their customer service is very attentive to the customer and maintaining email communication is very frequent. They normally reply within 24 to 48 hours.
I will definitely use their service again in the future.

I have used this company twice
I have used this company twice - both with outstanding quality! Both were pictures of my grand daughters and they captured them beautifully! l would definitely recommend them for portraits of people, pets and scenery. Very affordable for the quality of the results!

Mostly Satisfied
The communication from the time of initially reaching out to the time I approved my portrait drawing was mostly adequate. I had to repeat my request once when being transferred from one representative to another and almost everything was done as requested except for the drawing being done in black pencil instead of brown pencil as requested initially. I wonder if this detail was lost in translation when I was transferred from my initial contact to the next person handling my project. This difference in pencil color was not able to be clearly seen on my computer prior to my final approval being granted, so when I received my portrait I was not 100% satisfied. I am happy with the responsiveness and follow-through to some of my other requests throughout the project completion process. Ultimately, the company sent me so many requests for feedback weeks after receiving my portrait that I decided to go ahead and offer my honest and complete opinion.

Upon revisiting our records, we found that your order for a pencil sketch indicated a preference for the artwork to be crafted in a style akin to the sample image you provided, specifically on a sepia-toned background. However, we could not locate a specific request for the sketch to be executed using a brown pencil.
Our artists were diligent in replicating the composition and artistic technique present in the sample image before sending it to you for approval and subsequently dispatching the finalized piece. Had a request for a brown pencil been made prior to the initiation of the artwork, or had the order been specified as a colored pencil sketch, we would have been more than happy to accommodate this preference.
We hope this clarification assists in resolving any potential points of confusion. Our primary aim is to honor the time, effort, and faith our esteemed clients invest in us throughout the process. It was as good of a digital copy as you can get
It was a good print. but clearly not hand drawn, it was computer generated. I ordered it thinking that it was actually hand done so I was okay with the price. To find out that it was computer generated was a bit irritating. Very accurate, but not what I really wanted for this gift.

Best birthday gift ever
Our cat is named after Brother Cadfael, a monk PBS a mystery from the 80's, and our dog is named after Captain Arthur Hastings, another PBS character from the series Poirot, set in the 1930's. I asked if the artist could paint them in their character's dress and they hit the nail right on the head. The painting is not only incredibly accurate, but beautifully done. When my husband opened it on his birthday he was stunned, in a good way. He probably expected another shirt and was quite pleasantly surprised.
In addition, working with the staff was quite easy. They were pleasant and helpful throughout the process. Thank you Whataportrait!
