Cheaper quote for a Hayabusa

Early days but they offered a cheaper quote with similar cover and called when they said they would. The only thing I didn't like about the process was having to send licence, proof of no claims, a utility bill and DVLA summary to a random email address. It isn't secure sending that type of information over email

It is important that all the information provided is accurate, otherwise this could invalidate your insurance.

Our initial email included a list of the required documents, which included a request for a copy of your DVLA licence summary with clear instructions on how to obtain and submit it. Please note, we would never request a copy of your National Insurance Number, you would need to enter your national insurance number into the DVLA website to get your DVLA licence summary.

Very poor

Got to this site through compare the market. Compare asked if the bike is garaged yes/no. Auto filled wicked site which I checked through. I took the insurance and got a call the next day where I was asked if the garage was on my property, It is down the road from the house so they said that could be a problem. They called back a few days later and said they wouldn't insure the bike and I needed to cancel. They kept around £70 for not insuring the bike. Also had the bike been stolen in those few days I would have not been covered. So be very careful with this lot, there are way better companies out there. Also cancelled within 14 days so being charged so much is daylight robbery.

When the garaging is selected via the aggregator and your quote progresses to our website you will be asked where the bike is kept when not in use, and for the overnight postcode, next to this there is a green question mark, if this was to be clicked it would state “Is the bike kept at home address when not in use – If bike is stored/kept at an address other than your home then enter the postcode here. The insurers want to know where the bike is kept so they can offer adequate cover”. Please be advised that the garaging requirements are mandated by the insurers and are not within our control as your broker.

The main reason for the high fee cost is the payment we must make to aggregators in the region of £60.00 per policy. Please note that even during the 14-day cooling-off period, charges will apply for the duration the policy was active, along with any relevant cancellation fees as outlined in our terms of business agreement.

Highly recommended!

I recently took out a motorcycle insurance policy with Wicked Quotes online. The process was very quick & simple.
The following day I had a follow up call from the company. The UK lady call handler was very polite, friendly & helpful. I requested a paper copy of my policy.. it was no problem for her.
I obviously haven’t made a claim (thankfully) so can’t comment on that but so far I am very impressed with the company.

Bad experience with this company took…

Bad experience with this company took insurance out with them paid £77 down payment I needed to change the reg charge was £50 which I wasn’t happy with as other companies charge no where near that was only on cover 6 days was told it’s no cooling off period and it was no cooling off periods within 14 days I needed to pay additional £51.50 or it will be transferred to debt collection agency so it cost me nearly £130 for 6 days cover absolutely disgusting I am looking into this further and reporting this company to trading standards

Beware

Beware. One of those companies with stuff in the T&Cs which will cost you money if you need to make a change. Bought insurance, rang to cancel the next day and was charged £50 - the annual policy only cost £70. It’s in the terms, but make sure you’re careful - heaven knows what they’d do if you needed to claim

Further information regarding the charge for time on cover is in the insurers policy documents, which were emailed to you at inception of the policy. There may also be some non-refundable set up fees and cancellation fees.

All our fees are outlined in our Terms of Business Agreement, which you would have agreed to before making payment when the policy was set up. On average an aggregator charges £60.

Bought insurance with pillion cover…

Bought insurance with pillion cover selected,only to be rang the next day ,whilst I was uploading pages of stuff they requested ,to be told policy didn't cover pillion if second rider is only provisional.
What a waste of time .

Quotes are shocking

Quotes are shocking, had to put myself on my sons insurance just to make it affordable, and even that was still excessive, I own and ride a 1000cc bike yet without me in the insurance it would be 2500 or more, how is a 17/18 Yr old ever going to be able to afford that, these young adult need a way to get to a job or higher education but robbing insurance companies are just taking the mike with excessive quotes

Thanks for your review, Ben. We understand insurance can be pricey when a young person is starting out, especially before they have had the chance to build up any no claims bonus. We do however strive to offer our best rates at all times. We are always reviewing the fees we charge; but as a broker we don't have full control over the price, as we are placing your business with an insurer.

It is fairly common practice in the industry to offer discounts for having someone named on the policy like a parent, who has more experience than the policyholder. It sounds like this discount has helped your son get on the road in this instance.
