I started Wollit to increase my credit score, it was simple to set up and payments are made monthly by DD, so you can just sit back and watch you credit score improve.Mine improved just by setting it up.

Would highly recommend this service , only 2 months in and I have noticed a huge difference to my rating already . Also I had an unexpected bill came out so direct debit was returned, I contacted helpline to pay and advise me , they replied instantly and sorted my problem straight away as I was worried it would effect my rating , so impressed with their friendly efficient service

I can't personally give a positive…
I can't personally give a positive review on my personal experience with Wollit. I did give a negative on this morning, but I have since been contacted by Wollit, and for their quick response I do have some respect. I personally think that Wollit is very good for people who have very poor credit ratings, but if you already have maintained a good credit rating, without using Wollit, then I suggest you just stick to what you are doing. My credit rating dropped as soon as I subscribed, because I'd not long before hand taken out a bank loan. When you subscribe to Wollit, it's recorded as a loan. A loan that you have the benefit of demonstrating that you can keep to your commitments and direct debits. I was not happy when I saw that my rating went down. I contacted Wollit a year ago, and I decided that I might as well keep up the 12 months. I looked up my credit score yesterday and it's the lowest it's ever been, because I have again unknowingly taken another yearly subscription. Wollit has accepted my wish to unsubscribe, and has promised to have the negative information removed from my score. I would recommend that Wollit should advertise that they can help people with poor credit, build it up. I don't need to subscribe to Wollit £9 a month to prove that I can pay my bills, I have never a payment, or had an unpaid direct debit from any of my accounts. I don't operate like that, and I am really pissed off with myself by thinking that I could improve my score when it was already in the excellent.

Money taken without consent
I signed up with them to try build my credit, I was given a 3 day free trial but after looking into it they just weren't for me so I cancelled the plan the same day. A few days past I noticed they had taken money from my account and reactivated the plan without me knowing or without my consent.

I just needed some help to build my…
I just needed some help to build my credit score and Wollit offered me a way to improve it with an instalment loan. It’s a subscription with no or little risk attached and they updated the 3 CRA immediately then it’s just a waiting game. It’s the best way to build a credit score if you’re in a position where you cannot yet get a credit card but it won’t be long before I get one. This will also help build your credit score if you use it wisely.

Not useful
My first review was cancelled, not clear why.
My credit went down of 18 points as soon as I opened my Wollit account, as it was marked as an unsecured loan.
Kept Wollit open for 9 months and it didn't help with my credit at all (my credit went up, but thanks to me getting a credit card and never failing a direct debit)

When you open any new credit account - whether it's Wollit, a credit card, or a loan - a temporary dip in your score is completely normal, as the agencies aren't sure yet how you'll manage this new line of credit. This is only temporary, as the agencies see your responsible payments it will disappear. While you've seen positive movement in your credit (which is great!), credit agencies don't actually say which specific factors cause your score increase. Wollit will have been working as a positive factor on your credit file, alongside your credit card and on-time payments, to show you can handle different types of credit responsibly - something credit agencies look for.
