Woodbury House Avis

What an absolute pleasure to be shown around the gallery by Steve. He along with the staff there, made me feel very comfortable and at ease. Very knowledgeable, and welcoming. Had a particularly enjoyable chat on the Street art scene over in NYC. If you are in the area I highly recommend.

I had a great experience visiting Woodbury House it felt very relaxed and welcoming. They never fail to impress with the artists they are working with , always putting on the best shows.

Great venue and very knowledgeable staff. We were fortunate enough to get a tour and see the work of all the artists being represented. We loved the current work on show, ‘Growth’ by Gary Stranger.

I recently had the absolute joy of visiting the stunning Woodbury House Gallery in Mayfair, London, a bright, contemporary art space,
currently showing the very cool “Growth” exhibition, by Gary Stranger.

Steven Sulley, the gallery’s Founder showed us around the space and to other art works, by different artists, giving a great insight to the various pieces.

Super friendly staff too. If you are in London, pay a visit!

I had a really enjoyable experience buying my Blek le Rat piece. Steve made the whole process straightforward. When I visited the gallery, Sam was welcoming, knowledgeable and took the time to show me around. A really friendly, knowledgable and professional team, and I’m absolutely delighted with the piece.

An impressive space, with some amazing pieces. Very knowledgable team who clearly have a close relationship with their artists. Would recommend

Totally delighted to have been able to see the Gary Stranger show today. Been following from afar for a while, but seeing the work in the space was spellbinding - theres a brilliant film to accompany the Show too that gives an inspiring and very ‘human’ insight into his process.

I had a really warm welcome into the gallery from Stephen too, the space is big enough to feel immersed in the work, but small enough to be intimate.

Highly recommend and will look forward to next time -

Lovely space, great organisation and not pushy, they give you time to wander and think, they have lots of information about their artist and each specific piece. I really enjoyed my visit and came away with a small purchase a few days after as they gave me time to really consider it. Top experience.

Great Show by Gary Stranger at Woodbury House. Steven and the Team put on a great show we love our new print 5*

I bought a Richard Hambleton a few years ago as a longer term investment. Recently bought (with Kate) a Blek le Rat for a good price and saw a pretty decent return within a year. That’s now turned into another Hambleton purchase as we continue our journey with Steven, the WH founder. Steven has always been really engaging and open when discussing the art world!

My journey with Woodbury House began through my love for hip hop and the street art scene. I have admired artists such as Lee Quinones, Futura, Mode Two, Goldie, Banksy, and Blek le Rat for decades. Woodbury House stands out as a unique brand in the art world, which is why I reached out and visited their gallery in Mayfair.

I maintain regular communication with Steve Sulley, the founder of Woodbury House, and he recently sold a Blek le Rat piece from my collection with a very good return. Initially, I was uncertain about selling the piece, as I had grown quite fond of it.

In addition to that piece, I own a selection of other signgicant works aquired through Woodbury. I enjoy the events particularly the buzz of VIP launches, most recently Gary Stranger, a pioneer of urban typography.

It's been a fantastic few years working alongside Lydia, Sam, Archie, Steve, and the entire team at Woodbury House. I hope more collectors can experience a similar journey.

There’s something really special about Woodbury House. Even starting at the location.. everything feels intentional. From the way the art is curated, to details within the space and the way you are welcomed by Steve and the team. It’s authenticity you can feel.

The team are warm, genuine people and there’s a real sense that every part of the experience has been beautifully considered.
The art, the environment and the people all feel connected. Their current exhibition “Growth” by Gary Stranger is a testament to that.

It’s rare to visit somewhere where the attention to detail feels so natural, created with vision and purpose rather than manufactured.

Creating magic ❤️

Woodbury House is an impressive and welcoming contemporary art space. I found the staff to be friendly and well informed, and the works on offer to be of an excellent quality.

Woodbury House & the team have guided me well over the past few years. I’ve collected artworks by Gary Stranger, Defer, Blek le Rat & Richard Hambleton. Collecting has been a very interesting area that I’ve immersed myself into. I am a surgeon by profession, I approach this gallery due to the reputation and results. The artworks are superb and clearly strong investment assets due to the artist’s importance. I’ve enjoyed visiting their gallery and consuming their YouTube content.

Thank you to Steve & all staff members at the gallery

I've now had an association with Woodbury House for a number of years, and would highly recommend it for seasoned art collectors and newcomers alike.
Always helpful, always friendly, never pushy.
It's not the No 1 Gallery in London for no reason.
If you want the best, go to the best and Steve and his team will look after you.
Woodbury House never disappoints.

Before I got introduced to Woodbury House, I had a few artworks in my collection, including an LA-based pioneer called Defer. This was the reason I reached out to Woodbury House as I saw they had signed him exclusively in the U.K. I purchased another Defer from the gallery, and my contact was Steven (The Founder). Since 2023, I have purchased works by Richard Hambleton, Goldie, Lee Quinones, Blek le Rat, Swoon, etc. Some have been investment purchases. I have sold many since 2023 for a good profit, and some I won't sell at all as I'm very fond of the pieces. Steven and I have got a good working relationship together and when i visit Mayfair we frequently visit The Devonshire which is 5 minutes away. Woodbury House have many artworks on display at The Devonshire, which is always a joy to see, especially when you have a pint of Guinness in your hand. Thanks to the Woodbury House team!

Fantastic experience from start to finish. We had a very friendly welcome as we entered the gallery and we also had an informative conversation with the owner who was very approachable. We found the Gallery to be very spacious and light with loads of interesting art work on display.

‘The life of the work’ solo exhibition was a beautiful collection of works by Swoon.
I would highly recommend visiting this gallery.

I attended one of Woodbury House’s exhibitions in Mayfair and had a fantastic experience from start to finish.

The gallery itself is beautifully presented, with an impressive collection of contemporary and street art in a relaxed, welcoming environment. The team were knowledgeable, approachable and passionate about the artists they represent, taking the time to answer questions without any pressure to buy.

The event was exceptionally well organised and created a great atmosphere, making it enjoyable whether you’re an experienced collector or simply appreciate great art.

A special thank you to Steven and the team for their hospitality and professionalism. I thoroughly enjoyed the evening and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Woodbury House to anyone looking for a first-class gallery experience in London.

The studio was bright and the receptionist welcoming
The pictures by Swoon were pleasant and thought provoking The set up within the area meant that each picture could be seen on its own without distraction

I was invited along to Woodbury house the other day and what an experience, the space was lovely and the featured artist was Swoon. It was the first time I had seen her work and it was a delight. I would generally have walk past such a discreet entrance and not ventured in, however i’m glad I did ,and what a find it was too.
