Called for a waiver of an unfair…

Called for a waiver of an unfair additional $15 late fee as the earlier physical letter did not arrive before the 2nd letter was issued.

Had the insurance for so long and bundled (home- auto- membership) and AAA does not have the decency to waive a $15 unfair fee. Cancelled my membership and going to get other insurance. for AAA loyalty means nothing. Total trash

Bad claim experience

My car was damaged on the passenger side front bumper. Possibly occurred some place I had parked the previous day. Called AAA to report and was told I would have to pay a $1000 deductable. Speaking to family, friends and searching over the Internet found that i should be only paying uninsured motorist insurance due to some car backing up and damaging the car. When I brought this up the claims adjustor she said they will look into that and adjust based on the investigation. Next the AAA approved auto shop said the policy only allows them to use after market parts. A quick Internet lookup suggested the opposite. Then the claims adjustor said per their policy they use after market parts for all cars over two years old and if I wanted OEM the difference would be out of pocket. Next I was told the damage "could have been from an object" hence I will have to pay the collision deductable of a $1000, again without any document, report or evidence to back it up. I dread to think of having a large claim and having to deal with the lack of empathy and bad faith tactics from AAA while having to deal with emotional and financial losses...😞. Beware and choose a trusted company for your insurance needs.
-------------------------
I am told after market parts are standard practice. That really surprises me, it's like getting a Toyota in place of your Lexus for indemnity.

Look for the first bullet point under AAA approved auto repair shops.

AAA Is Double-Dipping My Claims to Pay Less and Charge Me More

I had two different accidents. The first time, AAA gave me less than the full cost to fix my car and took out a $500 deductible. Then I had a second accident that was not my fault. The other driver didn’t have insurance. Now AAA is charging me another $500, plus $250 more because of the uninsured driver. That adds up to $1,250 out of my pocket.

Now they’re saying I “benefited” from the first claim and are trying to take money back from it and apply it to this new one. That makes no sense. These are two separate accidents. Each one should be handled on its own.

I’ve already filed a complaint with the Texas Department of Insurance. My complaint ID is 425529. If you're thinking about getting AAA insurance, you should know how they treat people when it’s time to pay a claim. This isn’t right.

AAA DOESN'T ANSWER

AAA Doesn't Answer

I'm due a refund for laying out $190.00 for a tow that AAA (paid AAA+ with towing) should have done. Left me stranded in the So Fla. heat for 8 hours in the middle of the day. I'm a 69yr old diabetic. They left me with no help had to call a private tow company they responded in 15min. I'm supposed to be reimbursed but they don't respond to my calls leaving me waiting on the phone on hold for hours

*Not shortly after this post I received a call from AAA asking if I could retract my post above. Without even asking about my situation, no explanation of when I would receive my refund on the towing charge. In short all they care about is a negative post not about the client.

Poor Demonstrated Service at the local…

Poor Demonstrated Service at the local level, and even less satisfactory Customer Service at the National Level.
After over a decade of membership I'm throwing in the towel on my AAA Roadside Assistance membership. During the winter I requested a jump start, at my home, located adjacent to the metro area in MN. I was told to expect a 48 hour response window- this after paying $138.00 last year for 12 months. Why should I wish to pay that amount when service is not available when I call for road assistance?
I subsequently contacted AAA by phone to express my dissatisfaction with the lack of service, I was then thanked for my comment, and given the explanation that the wrecker companies were very busy.
This month, after receiving a renewal notice, I again contacted them by phone in hopes of being offered some sort of discount for my previous troubles. 3 calls to National, what a waste of time! I explained my intent to the initial service provider, who indicated she was unable to help, and was sent to my local club, (which indicated they were powerless to assist). I called national a second time, explained once again what I was trying to do, and that the local club was unable to help, at which time I was asked my city and state, then put on hold. After a period of time I disconnected, and made my 3rd call. The s.p. was very professional, and accommodated my frustration quite well before explaining that there was no one at AAA national who could help.
IMHO, the best service she was able to provide was to answer the question, "Do I want to renew my membership at $138.00 / year"? .... Um, No, thank you!
