From the moment of booking to arriving at the airport, the challenge and home, I felt fully supported and safe. With easy to use AP with all the up to date information including flight details and itinerary. Homestays were welcoming and food plentiful. An excellent trip and would thoroughly recommend.

I recently took part in an expedition to Mt Kilimanjaro via the Lemosho route. I booked in January 2025, 20 months in advance.
From the point of booking my trip, the journey was simple and well managed by Action Challenge.
Despite there being a couple of issues that Action Challenge could not control i.e. war in the middle east and nation park wildfires, Heather and Jan looked after myself and our team very well, communicated very clearly regarding departure updates, and possible new routes up the mountain should they be required.
On the trip, you could not ask for a better team in Stiwart (Head Guide) and Hannah (Doctor) as they were both very knowledgeable, gave excellent communication and guidance from start to finish.
The in country team were incredible and a credit to AC.

My second overseas trip with Action Challenge - this time to EBC. Absolutely fantastic experience - great communication, really well organised, our leader Joe has so much local knowledge and connections it made a real difference. Peace of mind travelling with a doctor as well, who helped several people with medical issues and helped ensure we all reached our destination safely and well. I will definitely be back for more!

Well organised travel company nothing was a problem and you talk to the team on first name terms

Climbing Mt Kilimanjaro in October 26 with Action Challenge was an incredible experience and one I will remember forever. Led by the brilliant, funny & caring Stiwart, ably assisted by lovely, calm medic Hannah, we were a group of 15 who came together from across the UK to support and encourage each other as we embarked on the biggest challenge of most of our lives. With an 80 strong Tanzanian support crew - who became like family and without whom none of us would have made it - we were given the best chance to achieve our goal. Not everyone made it sadly but we were all together at the very end to celebrate a remarkable 7 days. Not sure I have properly come down to earth yet but the memories are strong. Would 100% recommend Action Challenge and whilst this particular challenge is not for the faint hearted, it is an incredible thing to take part in. Dig deep and you can do it too!

Our Kilimanjaro trip with Action Challenge was nothing short of perfect. Our expert leader and medic kept us safe and confident every step of the way. The cooks worked magic with their incredible meals that kept us fueled throughout. The porters’ tireless strength, big smiles, and joyful songs lifted our spirits every day.

From the first moment to the last, we felt cared for. Reaching the top was unforgettable, but leaving it behind was even harder…

What an amazing Sahara Challenge trip - professional, fun and certainly a challenge!

I travelled solo to Morocco for Action Challenge’s Sahara Desert Challenge and came home having completed two marathons over two days, met some wonderful people and experienced something I will never forget.

The Sahara was spectacular, but the people made this trip. A particular thank you to the Action Challenge team, medics and the local team on the ground, whose care, hard work and support deserve real recognition. So much goes into making a challenge like this possible, and I am very grateful to everyone who looked after us along the way.

This was a proper physical challenge, and completing both days meant a huge amount to me. What I particularly valued was being able to share the experience with others while also having the freedom to move at my own pace and enjoy the quiet of the desert. Travelling solo never felt like a disadvantage.

Some of my favourite memories are the simplest: conversations along the route, kindness from people I had only just met and those extraordinary stretches of desert.

Thank you all. If you are considering it but have nobody to go with, book it anyway. I am so glad I did :)

There are international adventure events and then there is Action Challenge, a tour de force! Managed, administered and delivered in the most professional manner, you will want for little. What makes them better than the rest, simply put, its the Staff and those in direct support such as the UK medics and local 'on the ground' team. The event can be as hard as you want, but you will enjoy it, make friends for life and be 100% satisfied.

Just incredible!! The UK & local teams were nothing short of amazing and felt like one big family despite arriving as a solo traveller. I would highly recommend to anyone who loves an adventure! My only regret is not doing it years ago! Already booking another … thanks guys!

Our trip across the Jordanian mountains to Petra was an incredible experience. This is my third trip with Action Challenge and everything the support and organisation is amazing.

This was my second trip with Action Challenge, and once again the overall experience was excellent. Completing the Inca Trail through the Andes to Machu Picchu—including Dead Woman’s Pass—was an incredible and unforgettable challenge.

The staff were knowledgeable, supportive and encouraging throughout. What impressed me most was how they recognised the different ages, fitness levels and abilities within the group and made sure everyone received the right level of help without feeling pressured or left behind. They worked extremely hard, kept morale high and genuinely cared about everyone’s wellbeing and enjoyment.

Having now completed two challenges with the company, I would happily recommend Action Challenge to anyone considering this type of adventure. The experience, organisation and quality of the staff made a demanding trip feel achievable, safe and thoroughly enjoyable.

From start to finish i felt AC were extremely professional and put their participants needs first every time. We were well supported duringnthe trip with an experienced leader and crew Doctor, plus the porters and local leaders who had a wealth of knowledge of the local terrain and conditions.

Had an amazing experience and time on the action challenge Everest base camp trip. Fantastic guides and leaders very knowledgeable on the area and culture and always willing to share their knowledge and experience, it was so much more than I was expecting it to be. I would recommend the trip with action challenge to anybody thinking or considering the trek, and thank you to all that made the trek such an amazing experience for me.

I signed up for an Action Challenge trek along the 55km Laugavegur Trail in Iceland.

The organisation from start to finish was exemplary. Action Challenge looked after everyone and everything.

Our guides and medical professionals were outstanding ensuring we were safe and felt supported, as a few people on the trek were very new to trekking.

It was such a great experience that I am researching where I can go with Action Challenge next.

Trip to Iceland with Action challenge was well organised and a great experience. The Action Challenge team really do go the extra mile to ensure you have a great experience. I have done a few trips now including EBC and Kili and will certainly be back for more.

What a fantastic trip to Iceland with action challenge.
The management team of Jan,Rhiannon, Chloe and Tess done everything to ensure a successful trip .
The scenery throughout the trip was absolutely stunning, up there with anywhere else across the globe .
The campsite was remote and definitely part of the attraction.
The ground crew team where very helpful, it was fantastic turning up to our tents being erected and food being available.
Day 1 was very tough and had its challenges but that made it all the better when completing .
The hot springs and showers were fab .
The camaraderie in the mess tent was fantastic, getting to know your fellow hikers .
Day 2 was far simpler but still a seriously remote 26 miles .
At meal time Rhiannon gave a rousing speech celebrating everyone , ensuring no one was left out .
Jan the company director made everyone feel equal , he was just part of the adventure and that is a skill in itself .
The two medics Chloe and Tess were available 24/7 and both were very encouraging throughout the challenge.
I would 100% recommend Action Challenge as they ensure each and every trip is organised, structured and fun .
I have been on events with other companies and you just don't get the same level of organisation and care , also when things go wrong the company ensures that they have a solution.

We completed the Kilimanjaro trek, and every moment of the journey was truly unforgettable. It was challenging, so don't let anyone say otherwise, but our amazing porters and guides were there every step of the way to ensure we had the best experience. They cheered us with songs, cooked for us, and supported us through our toughest moments, making the adventure even more special.
