Alive Network Avis 

I am posting this review here as it was not posted on the Alive Network. As clearly they only include 100% positive reviews, which feels very dishonest.

We booked a DJ KJF for our wedding in July 2024. Below is our feedback directly to Alive Network on our disappointing experience with DJ KJF. A similar review was submitted to their platform but never posted.

Unfortunately, we haven't had the best experience with Kirsty. As a fellow wedding professional, I don't feel that comfortable leaving negative reviews for suppliers but in this case, I felt it was worth highlighting a few things. We spoke with Kirsty on a zoom call and via WhatsApp regarding our requirements. When we chatted she came across really personable and we were excited to work with her. We discussed details of our first dance (a blend of two songs going from a slow song to an upbeat song) and provided lists of definite song to be played and a list of similar songs we liked to allow her to select appropriate songs based on our guests' response. Please not this was as per her request and her preferred way to work.

However, on the day our first dance was played completely wrong. Only the first slow song was played and for the full 4 minutes instead of 45/60 seconds we had requested. The songs weren't mixed together at all as planned, even though we provided her with a mix she could use. Which left us having to improvise a dance that we hadn't planned for, continuously trying to catch her eye to change the music.

When my husband spoke to Kirsty after the first dance to ask what happened, she said she forgot/didn't know what we had meant. However this cannot be true as we had checked in with her the week before (as the first dance was really important to us) and she said everything was 'perfect', so this baffled us on the evening when it was completely wrong. My husband also sent her a mix of the first dance that she could just play.

We followed up directly with Kirsty on Tuesday to feed this back as we thought there may have been some personal circumstances that had affected her on the day and didn't want to pass unnecessary judgement. However, we didn't received a response from her at all (it is now Friday).

Now we are just left feeling like she didn't really care about how the music was executed on our wedding day. Throughout the evening Kirsty didn't appear to mix songs, interact at all with our guests or play the songs in the correct order we had discussed. This was the feedback from our guests too, not just us.

All we were looking for was a sincere apology and an acknowledgement that she had made a mistake. But instead we received a message saying she is really upset and that she got confused. It's the one things from our wedding day that was disappointing but it would have all been forgotten if we felt we'd have received a sincere apology.

We made a booking for our firms 2025 Christmas party and the website was really easy to navigate, details were clear and to back this up Clare Kimble was a fantastic point of contact in dealing with our requirements. We are looking forward to seeing the band in December.

Claire was very friendly and professional. I made an error on the date but she rectified it immediately and got everything changed and booked in. Super easy booking system too.

It was truly amazing service that we received. Claire was so helpful and it’s short notice. Nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be using you every time the saxophone player was amazing so helpful and a great entertainer. Thank you for making my party a success.

We looked at several different bands, we decided to go with Happy Hour, Clare was great at sorting it all out for us.
Hopefully all will go well on our daughter’s wedding day.

The website was easy to use and listen to the different artists and bands. Clare Kimble was really helpful and patient whilst we requested multiple different quotes and made the whole booking process really easy, thank you!

Carlo the saxophonist was excellent. Highly entertaining and very flexible with both timing and content. The booking was made just two days before the party and handled very efficiently. I would highly recommend this site for its variety and efficiency

We booked a Scottish bagpiper Malcom Smith very last minute for a funeral Nick dealt with everything expertly at such short notice and Malcom went above and beyond what we expected would highly recommend

Easy and quick to use, had an amazing artist sourced and booked within a couple of days after my original pick was not available. Marc responded to my emails quickly and professionally. Overall great service.
