I have searched for a long time for help with my husband who has dementia. Doors were quickly closed and I felt helpless. A trip to the hospital was my last resort. I wanted help for him but had a hard time affording it. That night in the emergency room a nurse spoke with me about getting help. She called Amada Senior Care and I received a phone call the very next day from Amada. I spoke with Keely and she had connections like I've never seen! She was very passionate about helping me. Shortly after having been denied at a couple of facilities, I was losing faith but in the end, it all worked out. This is a great service that is dedicated to helping those in need. I highly recommend Amada Senior Care...Best choice I have ever made.

Our association with Amada Care (St Augustine, FL) was terminated because of unacceptable conduct by one of their caregivers and their subsequent demonstrated disregard for the standards of professionalism, respect, and ethical responsibility required in the care of elderly individuals. The behavior we experienced is incompatible with anyone who expects good care for their loved ones and cannot be tolerated.

Amada Senior Care Gainesville Texas endangered my 83-year-old mother with advanced dementia by instructing a caregiver to transport her in her own car — without my POA consent or medical need — during paid care hours to their office for an internal termination meeting.
The owner was present and participated, along with senior staff and her assigned caregivers. They pulled her from her approved "Friday with Friends" routine (essential per care plan for stability) and isolated her in a separate room with a stranger while deciding her fate.
Caregiver text: "Screw Friday with friends" — blatant contempt for her needs and routine.
This caused severe harm: she now has no sleep, no appetite, increased confusion/agitation during forced transition.
Agency refuses to credit $325 (unauthorized day + mileage on her car), admits no wrongdoing, blames employees only, threatens collections on disputed amount.
Contract proves agency responsibility (Section II(a): "Company retains responsibility for all services"; II(c): "supervised on a day-to-day basis"). Recorded call: they admitted it was wrong but still deny accountability.
Violated Texas HCSSA rules on consent/rights (§558.282). Reported to HHSC & APS (confirmation #c2701e17). Evidence: texts, footage, contract, intake form, recorded call.
Avoid this agency — they prioritize internal agendas over vulnerable clients' rights, safety, and well-being. Families beware.
