Utterly useless service from Ancaster Chislehurst! They have treated me to the worst car-related experience of my life - and I've owned cars for over 40 years.
Bought the car from them 3 years ago. The first 2 services were mediocre - poor comms and unenthusiastic.
Car now has an exhaust problem that has coincided with the 3-year Service and MOT process. Initially they ignored the problem and later said they did not have the software to fix it! Eventually, the car became undriveable, I had to call AA Breakdown and they escorted me to the Ancaster's premises.
Ancaster have now had my car for 2 weeks and haven't once bothered to contact me with and update! Thoroughly incompetent and unprofessional. The staff just don't care!!

I booked my car in for an MOT and service, and the appointment was accepted without any issues. I turned up on the agreed date and time, only to be told they couldn't carry out the service because it was booked slightly earlier than the recommended service interval. Apparently this would create too much paperwork for them, which doesn't seem like something the customer should be penalised for.
I was told they would contact me to rearrange the appointment, but nobody ever did. By the time I chased it up, my MOT had expired. After contacting them again, I was eventually put through to the complaints team, who managed to fit me in for the MOT but still couldn't do the service.
I was also told I would receive an update explaining how this situation had happened, but weeks later I still hadn't heard anything. When I contacted them again to cancel the service, I was simply told I would have to email another team myself. That should have been dealt with as part of the complaint, not passed back to me.
Overall, the customer service was very disappointing. The original mistake wasn't mine, communication was poor throughout, and I was left chasing for updates at every stage.
The staff were friendly and professional during my visit. They were approachable and took the time to answer any questions I had. I found them polite and courteous throughout the process. It was a pleasant experience.

I visited Ancaster Heathrow to collect my new car the staff are friendly and helpful I was lucky enough to be dealing with Scott Billing he made the whole process very easy he is friendly,helpful, highly knowledgeable which made the whole process from ordering a car and collecting it outstanding, I couldn’t praise this dealership highly enough. The team at Ancaster Nissan South Croydon were friendly and professional. They kept me updated with calls about my car and were helpful with transport to drop it off and collect it. The staff, including Aldini, the black Irish guy and the lady who sat next to him, were approachable and welcoming, creating a lively atmosphere.

Service team’s communication from Ancaster Bromley is hands down the worst I’ve experienced - car was dropped off at 9.15am for its first service zero contact throughout the day until I chased it up at 4.30pm message received at 4.38pm telling to be collect by 5.30pm car was blocked in faults identified with tyres not clearly explained then when I asked why it had taken 8 hours I was told they were very busy and short staffed could I not see that? Not sure how as the customer that’s my responsibility no apology mechanic David was rude and dismissive - I guess everyone was a bit tired after the football?! Seriously absolutely shocking will try another dealership next time even if I have to travel so I don’t have to deal with this again!

Very poor aftersales service and no accountability
I booked my Hyundai Tucson with Ancaster Hyundai Croydon on 20 May for a roof/cabin noise issue and dropped the vehicle off on 24 June, as instructed. The service manager confirmed during a drive that there were multiple cabin noises, including from the roof area, door area and centre console, but the vehicle was then left for around a week without being inspected by a technician.
Communication was extremely poor. Promised updates were not provided, calls were not returned, and even Ancaster’s own call centre struggled to get a response from the Croydon service department. I was eventually told there was a backlog and then asked to collect the vehicle without the issue being diagnosed or resolved.
I raised this formally with Vanessa Macnally, the Sales Manager, who did what she promised and forwarded my complaint to the relevant person. I later received a call from a lady in the complaints department who also promised to help and call me back. Unfortunately, that follow-up never materialised.
This is especially disappointing as the vehicle is still under Hyundai Promise warranty, was sold as an approved used vehicle, and cost me around £32,000 paid in cash. The level of aftersales care has been unacceptable. Ancaster were happy to sell the car, but when a warranty issue needed proper attention, I was left ignored, inconvenienced, and without a solution.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Ancaster Hyundai Croydon or Ancaster Group for a new or used car purchase.

On completion day, I arrived earlier than the appointment and found Simon doing some final touch ups to the car to try and make it as if the car was brand new.
