Absolutely horrendous experience every time a retailer uses An Post. It's unfit for the 21st century. A courier service which make no attempts whatsoever to try and contact customers. In the past 6 years An Post has not managed to even once successfully deliver a package. Not only are they utterly incompetent, they show a complete lack of care about their unprofessionalism. Quite simply the worst run company in Ireland by a country mile. I do everything possible to avoid using them. If you have any other options, use them.
What has happened to An Post?
What has happened to An Post? They used to be fantastic. My parcel has supposedly been out for delivery every single day since Monday. On Wednesday I was told it was definitely coming that day. Friday now and no sign of it and it’s a product that expires. So disappointing to see An Post turning into Fastway.

It’s truly reassuring to know that Ireland can now safely disband the Gardaí and abandon all investigative work — clearly, the branch manager has everything under control. A remarkable individual, whose name, understandably, must remain confidential (one can only assume for national security reasons… or perhaps simply to avoid accountability).
According to this expert analysis, my face was confidently identified on CCTV footage of approximately 480×640 resolution — at a time when I was demonstrably on the opposite side of the city. An extraordinary achievement. Not only spatial recognition, but apparently time travel as well. Even the FBI, after decades of effort, never managed such a breakthrough.
Customer service, clearly inspired by the wisdom of King Solomon, offered the invaluable advice to contact the Gardaí and have the matter investigated. A suggestion I have already followed.
One can only wonder — do you genuinely believe I would visit the post office twice in one morning to collect the same parcel? For what possible purpose?
The reality is much simpler: the parcel was handed to a completely different person, entirely without authorisation. Fortunately, that individual turned out to be honest and decent — qualities that, regrettably, were not reflected in An Post’s handling of this matter.
All that was required was a straightforward apology. Instead, I was called a liar — directly to my face and even on camera — along with my wife.
So now, rather than one apology, it appears two will be required — and likely accompanied by compensation.
Well then… as you wish, An Post.
Horrendous service and rude customer…
Horrendous service and rude customer service the pat two weeks I've had a parcel updated as being processed for delivery 3 separate times and still not out for delivery and another item has been out for delivery the past 3 days some how an post basically just blame the other company and take no responsibility for the lacklustre service they supposedly provide

They returned the parcel to the UK, because of missing some documentation.
TWICE!!! They would not contact me if I didn't contact them after two days of stuck in customs on track and trace, throughout WhatsApp. Awful service and try to rip off the customers!

Very rude agent and no sign of my parcel!
My parcel seems to have gone missing. I have contacted An Post via their Whatsapp 3 times now and keep getting a generic response from each member of their customer service team saying to wait another few days. Yesterday I was told they would contact the Mail Centre and I would get an email, of course I didn't receive it. Today a Customer Service member called Sean actually closed the conversation midstream with an automated response! I have to say that was what prompted me to write this, I can't believe the rudenesss. All I want to know is where my parcel is or if it is lost, if it is, own up!
Update: Having replied below, I have still heard nothing and Customer Service told me this morning to contact Marks and Spencer who would have a more direct tracking system to my order!! UNBELIEVABLE. I actually can't believe it, it is back on the retailer now.

Dishonest tracking and massive delays
My package has been sitting in the same sorting center since April 9th. To make matters worse, An Post has provided false information to the retailer claiming the item was delivered, while their own tracking and support staff admit it is actually "delayed." This dishonesty has made it impossible to get a refund or a replacement from the seller. Absolute lack of integrity and incompetence at the sorting level.

A Guy arrived with a damaged order from amzon and told my partner not to take it. It was obviously chucked into a bin with no regard for the customer. No return or response from amazon either. Trying to fnd the proper chanell on either site is like an endless maze. Cozy cartel springs to mind. Never again. L
Update: keep emailing me about getting in touch with amazon and looking for a "tracking number". Sent email reply an an automated response was sent stating I can not contact them that way. Clokes and daggers smoke screen after smokescreen.common day Thieves is all they are. They have my number and won't ring. They have my email and won't write. Never again will I use tgamband I promise I will cause damage to something beling tobthem of the value of my item. PROMISE. absolute vile thieving scum

Useless
If I could give minus number then I would. Tracking info unreliable and as far as attempted delivery comment, that is a total lie as I've been at home all day and witnessed the postal van drive straight past my property. This is becoming a weekly occurrence and totally unacceptable. All avenues of contacting An Post give a different reason to why item not delivered including high volume of packages in my area so item recalled. That was excuse given on watsapp. Online chat gave different reasons. The untruths continue. Finally they ask if you'll participate in a survey concerning the service. You couldn't make it up 🙄. Not fit for purpose

Do not use An Post for Registered post
I had to send a time-sensitive travel document to Tipperary and chose to use An Post registered post, specifically to ensure tracking and confirmation of delivery. Unfortunately, despite paying for this service, my parcel was sent to Germany instead.
As a result, I missed the submission deadline for my document. It has now been over a month, and I still have no clear information on when, or if, my document will be returned to me. This has been an extremely stressful and frustrating experience.
In hindsight, I very much wish I had used a courier service such as DHL or UPS. Based on this experience, I would strongly advise others to consider alternative providers.

Constant delays and parcels lost but what gets me is that every time I contact the customer service, the agents are beyond rude and careless. Puzzled at how they are allowed to be that brash — is there no quality programme / checks at An Post to see how they speak with customers?
