Applebee's Avis 

I had a horrible experience with the manager, Mary. When me and my daughter and son walked in, there was nothing one there to greet us. There was as a tub of wrapped silverware at the counter. My son reached and grabbed three of the wrapped silverware. The manager rushes over and snatches the silverware from my sons hand and stated “Don’t play in my silverware, cross contaminating it! Me and my party was so embarrassed and I felt like we were not welcomed there. I felt that we were treated like this because we were black! My daughter turned to me and said” We are not eating here.” I turned and told Mary to have a blessed day. Moral of the story, If you are looking for a friendly place with good food to celebrate with your family, skip this Applebees in Swansea, Il.

Applebee's on Devine St. in Columbia,SC has good food but management refuses to eject unruly cursing patrons who spoil the experience for all within 25 feet of the of the loud,screaming cursing table. We will not return as management does care about customers.

This review is specifically for the General Manager, Al Sampsell. A friend and I chose to visit this Applebee’s location based on the Happy Hour information provided on the Applebee’s website, which listed the hours as 3–6 PM. I drove from Fort Worth after work with that expectation in mind. My food was ordered before my arrival, but when the receipt was presented, I noticed that the appetizers were charged at full price. Upon inquiry, we were informed that the in-store Happy Hour runs from 2–5 PM, which seems unusual since many people don’t get off work until 5.

Our server and bartender, Luis M., provided excellent service and brought the General Manager, Al Sampsell, over to assist us. We calmly showed him the website details that led us to visit Applebees. However, instead of addressing the discrepancy, he simply stated that the website information did not apply to this location. When we asked which location it referred to and how we could view the correct Happy Hour details for his location, he responded, “I don’t know.”

To clarify, we asked him to show us the correct Happy Hour hours and options on his location’s website, as he had advised. Surprisingly, he was unable to do so. Instead, he provided excuses, used irrelevant analogies, and suggested that we should have called ahead. Despite being the General Manager, he insisted there was nothing he could do to resolve the situation.

I have had great experiences at other Applebee’s locations, but this was by far the worst due to the lack of accountability and poor customer service from management. If this is how customer concerns are handled, I can only imagine how the staff must feel working under such leadership.

However, I would like to extend my appreciation to Luis and Journey, who provided outstanding service and truly embodied the Applebee’s brand.

Our waitress Meagan was wonderful. My husband had the salmon and was happy with it. I ordered the sirloin rare and got a medium to well done steak which I sent back. Though my husband ate VERY slowly so we might eat together he finished his meal in the 20 min it took to get my replacement meal which again not rare. It was as overcooked as the 1st one. They did take my meal off our bill and give me a glass of wine but I couldn’t eat that dried overcooked meat. Won’t order steak again if we go back to Applebees.

NEVER GOT FOOD FROM APPLEBEES AND NEVER WILL I AGAIN . NASTY NOODLES 4 CHEESE LOL HOW ABOUT NOTHING DRY NOODLES . OH AND THEY WILL TIP WITHOUT TELLING YOU THEY ARE IF YOU CALL THEM TO ORDER ,,,

This is for the Gladstone, MO Applebee's:I ordered the grilled chicken. First, it looked nothing like the pics they post. The pic on the website, in CarSide To Go and in DoorDash looks like a full chicken breast, nicely grilled. What I got tonight was not that. It looked like they flattened it with a meat mallet, then burnt the edges to a black crisp - a good half inch in from the edge. The entire thing was rubbery. The most awful chicken I've ever eaten. As if that wasn't enough, I specifically requested just one side: seasoned broccoli. However they layered the bottom of the container with the mashed potatoes and put the meat and broccoli on top of the mashed potatoes which contaminated the other food. I am on a Keto diet and it was difficult to separate the broccoli and chicken from the mashed potatoes. I cannot recommend this restaurant anymore since they don't care about patrons preferences and especially since they apparently don't even know how to grill chicken properly. I won't be ordering from Applebee's any more and I have been a regular diner in the past.

When I came in a was greeted with a big smile from an employee with the name Amanda she was super nice and helpful the whole time I really appreciated her service and would like to come again

Went to Forrestville MD location.. no ribs, no pasta. I ordered crispy chicken salad with onions. Not enough lettuce to cover the plate, sent it back. Returned with no onions and a little bit more lettuce. Was not happy at all!! Was not worth my $15 and will not return… Fridays, here I come!!

I had a cockroach crawl on me while I was eating. Caused me an anxiety attack.

I visited the restaurant yesterday. I had a booking however when I got there all they could offer me was a seat outside or sit at the bar.
They then proceeded to tell me they only had half of the menu

recently visited applebees in epping nh.We were looking to try the new 11.99 specials. the menu was very confusing and we ended up ordering the wrong thing. The 11.99 selections were in a small box and not well marked. Yes, the food was good but we feel the menu was deceiving.

Don't ever order Lemonade as it is just sugar water with some kind of strawberry syrup. Total Crap. Also their fries are not good at all. Any fast food fries are MUCH hotter and cripier and better. For the prices, they are NOT good. Might as well go to fast food.

The first thing was a ton of dust on the walls and arm rest. The soda drinks were totally gross, I don't think there soda lines were ever cleaned. When the chicken fingers and fries arrived, which was what I ordered for the wife and I, it was the size of a kitty meal, It was cold and dried up, like it was sitting out for days! NEVER AGAIN!!!!

Queensbury, NY location. Good food. Extremely slow service. Not the servers fault. The kitchen is an issue. Took 50 minutes from sitting down and getting our order taken to getting our food. Not good.

Went to Applebee's by the Dayton Mall. Serve was slow, order was messed up,and the bill was incorrect twice. The manager Austin was unprofessional and didn't want to talk to me or provide any help at all. Will tell others not to patronize this business.

I went to Applebee's on 2-2-25 order my food 😋 it was nice hot 🔥 and the person who brought it to me she was very knowledgeable, happy, good energy, nice and kept checking in to make sure everything was ok and good I asked for her name she Brenda and I said we need more people like you whose thoughtful and cares about the customer not just worrying about a pay check

I like the quality of the atmosphere at Applebee's. I also like some of their meals. But three things I dislike, are the high prices they charge, the fact that most of their meals are not that healthy - hamburgers, steak, etc, and they also don't have a good choice of side dishes. They should offer side dish choices like corn, green beans, lima beans and black eye peas. They should offer more healthy entrees that are lower in cholesterol.
