Terrible Support: Offered 50% off for a ruined item, then refused to pick it up!
I recently ordered a heavy item from Costco made by Artika (ORDER: 1298737073, Item: 1806395). It arrived badly damaged with holes all over the packaging. This is a massive shipment consisting of 60 boxes, which is incredibly heavy and oversized.
The packages looked like used, returned products that someone had carelessly tried to tape back together. Many crucial parts and pieces were completely missing from inside. It was very obvious that these damaged and incomplete items were sent directly from their warehouse, rather than being damaged by UPS during shipping.
When I contacted Artika's customer support, their representative, Mark, tried to negotiate with me by offering a 50% discount to keep this damaged, incomplete, and unusable item. When I refused this ridiculous offer, he completely brushed off responsibility, blamed the carrier, and told me that if I want a full refund, I must personally haul all 60 heavy boxes back to a local Costco store myself because "Artika does not offer a pickup service."
Their excuse that "the product left the warehouse in perfect condition" is a complete lie. If this was purely UPS transit damage, why did Mark try to bargain and offer me a 50% discount to keep a ruined, incomplete item? Also, UPS does not open packages to steal parts and tape them back up.
They know very well that customers order heavy items online specifically because they cannot transport them. Expecting a customer to transport 60 heavy, returned boxes to a physical store is completely unacceptable. Avoid Artika products at all costs. Their customer service is non-existent, unprofessional, and they do not stand behind their products. I will be disputing this charge with my credit card company.
