The delivery did not arrive
The delivery did not arrive. Australia Post notified me that it was not delivered. The person it was sent to received no notification at all.

Thank you for your feedback on your recent order. I sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused during the delivery process.
I’ve reviewed the tracking history and can see that delivery was attempted on the 6th of January, but there was no safe place suitable to leave the parcel. As a result, it was redirected to the post office for collection and was eventually collected by the recipient.
I also noticed that a phone number for the recipient was not provided at checkout. While you will have received email notifications throughout the delivery journey, Australia Post sometimes uses phone numbers to notify recipients of collection details or delivery updates. Without this information, their ability to communicate directly with the recipient may have been limited.
To prevent similar issues in the future, I recommend providing a phone number for the recipient when placing orders. This helps avoid missed notifications and ensures smoother communication for delivery updates.
If the parcel wasn’t located or delivered to your satisfaction, please don’t hesitate to contact us at info@australiangourmetgifts.com.au, and we’ll be happy to investigate further or assist you with a resolution.

Delivery aspect need to be improved
Delivery aspect need to be improved. Australia Post Express Delivery mechanism need to be reviewed.
1) food items - can’t be left everywhere. Point taken.In such a situation the delivery processes need to be more controlled. Had a bad experience with the delivery.
1) We haven’t been informed the approximately what time the package is being delivered.
Telephone number is given to contact the customer half an hour before to let them know or through tracking mechanism.
2) when no one is available at home the package was sent to a Distribution Centre 50 KM away from home.
3) the note left by Australia Post does not indicate whether a further attempt will be made or not to deliver or the customer is expected to collect.
4) By googling we tried to contact the Centre and informed that we can’t come and collect straight away and we are required to give 24 hrs notice.
4) Expecting people to give a 24 hrs notice to collect and to travel 50 to 60 KM each way to collect is terrible service in this day and age.
5) The package can only be collected during business days. Not on the weekend. That means a customer had to take time off from work for almost half day to collect the package.
When I called to complain about the delivery problems prompt attention is given to my complaint and the matter has been resolved.
This type of problem I have not encountered with other companies.
