Terrible service
Terrible service. Van broke down less than a week after it was bought. Garage very unhelpful and couldn’t get hold of them over the phone. When the van went back they stole stuff out of it. Wouldn’t ever recommend this garage. They tried to say they had sent my stuff back to me and I had received it, even though they couldn’t send it!

Firstly, it is correct that the vehicle developed a fault shortly after purchase. This is not something we have ever denied. However, what is important is how this was handled: the vehicle was recovered immediately at our cost, brought back to our premises without delay, and the issue was resolved. A full refund was then issued to the customer promptly. From our side, the matter was dealt with quickly, responsibly, and without any financial dispute or resistance.
Claims that we were “very unhelpful” or “couldn’t be contacted” are not accurate. We have records of communication attempts and interactions throughout this process. Our staff remained cooperative and engaged at every stage, including arranging recovery and handling the refund without hesitation.
On the matter of personal belongings, the facts are straightforward. The only items left in the vehicle were bottles and de-icer. These were not “stolen” or mishandled. The customer was informed and asked to arrange collection. In addition, we went further and sent a return pouch specifically to allow the items to be returned securely. The delay in return was caused by the fact that the provided return label had expired, not due to any refusal or obstruction on our part.
We also need to address the serious allegation of theft. This was raised to the police by the customer, specifically claiming that tools had been removed from the van. This is a very serious accusation. However, when this was examined and clarified directly with the police, it was confirmed that there were no tools in the vehicle at all. That fact alone should be taken into account when assessing the credibility of the wider claims being made.
It is therefore entirely incorrect to suggest that items were stolen or that there was any dishonest conduct by our staff. At no point were any personal belongings taken, withheld, or disposed of improperly.
We understand that vehicle breakdowns and post-purchase issues can be frustrating, and we dealt with the situation by recovering the van, resolving the issue, and issuing a full refund without dispute. However, we do not accept false allegations regarding theft or staff misconduct.
We stand by our handling of this matter, our communication, and our records.

We went to view a car yesterday (05/03/2026). The salesperson we initially dealt with was lovely and helpful. However, he did say he would knock £50 off the price if we left a review, which didn’t sit right with us.
We took the car for a test drive and it drove fine. But when we started looking through the paperwork, we noticed a big discrepancy in the mileage history. One year it showed 10k miles, the next year it dropped to 5k, then the following year jumped up to 19k. That immediately raised alarm bells.
We also noticed the name on the logbook had been covered with a “void” stamp. We were told this was because the car had been bought at auction and it was due to GDPR, which we accepted at the time. However, we then asked if they could show proof it had actually been purchased from auction, just for reassurance.
At this point the manager got involved and became very awkward. He refused to show any proof of purchase and the conversation became quite uncomfortable. After some back and forth he ended up walking off in a strop.
Overall the situation just didn’t feel right, and because of the lack of transparency we decided not to go ahead with the purchase.

Thank you for your detailed detective report. We’re relieved to know our dealership passed at least the “lovely salesperson” part of the investigation. As for the £50 review discount, we assure you it was meant as a goodwill gesture, not an attempt to launch a black-market review empire.
Mileage discrepancies can occasionally appear in vehicle history records due to data entry errors, which is exactly why we encourage customers to ask questions, though sadly we can’t provide dramatic auction reveal scenes on demand. And yes, next time if you visit TESCO, please do ask for their purchase invoice of 'Arla Milk' and see what they do :)
Regarding the manager’s “strop,” we’ll have to review whether it was a strop, a tactical retreat, or simply an urgent tea break.
We respect your decision not to proceed, and wish you every success in finding a car that meets both your expectations and your mystery-solving standards.
