Generally no problems with staff in Louth Bargain Buys.
Prices vary from supermarket prices to very very cheap, specially when past it's best before date.
Bought Muscavado sugar in Tescos £2.25 (500grms) while it was £1 in bargain buy (in date)......bargain!

Incredibly trash customer service and witnessed this nice girl named cam and she was opening the dumplings for the kids because she was confused about it being a sugar squishy and this really mean lady which was another staff member came and told her to stop and raising her voice but I cannot Renember what she said and they are INCREDIBLY strict and mean to the minors who enter the store and you can tell by the messy and unwelcoming signs at the door do not shop here

All things are good, but not extra-ordinary good for a low budget.

Rude customer service. Woman on counter wouldn’t acknowledge a hello back or even look. I could tell she had a problem. Had to put my hand through the counter little barrier plastic section to get the scanned items as the lady did not move anything and was awkward to get the scanned items out. I also had to say I’m paying by card as she was behaving in a manner not looking at me.
Staff should be trained in being polite and helpful too all. Shouldn’t be made uncomfortable to shop there

use too always shop here from my pet items. now they are selling hamster balls that are not suitable for any small animal (please google why). they are also now selling hamster cages that are too small. all hamsters (which are solitary) need a cage of 100cm length by 50cm width by 50cm high. These cages aren't even suitable for rats, mice, gerbils, drawf hamsters or Syrian hamsters. I would like them to stop selling them as now I'm looking for other places to buy my pet toys and food. before getting any animal please research what they need. shops should do the same before selling products that are unsuitable for animals when will this stop. please for the love of small animals take the hamster balls and small cages that are under the minimum of the shop shelves to stop small animals from suffering and for them to have a good life.

Stop running scam .Shilajit is fake please reply me email. I would like to return the fake Shilajit. I have reported to the Trading and standard department.

Awful, rude behaviour towards youngsters in Exeter store today by an elder member of staff who should know better! Please do better!

I was in the girvan store today, I was just about to walk in, a member of staff was standing outside smoking, said to me that they were closing, I had six minutes till closing time. I said I just needed salt and would only be a second. On getting to the checkout the same member of staff told me he wasn't going g to serve me as I was on my phone to my mother whonis ill!!! This member of staff was extremely rude and quiet intimidating. I have never had the displeasure of being served by such a rude and quiet frankly horrible man!!! I will not be returning to this shop and I would advise anyone else not to! Also he really is not a good advertisements to the store when staff are smoking at the entrance door to the shop!!! He also did not wash his hands on returning to the till!!!

Absolutely awful staff member in this store, (Exeter Fore Street) supposed manager!!
Was walking around the store, for a good while. Got to the front area, around 20 feet away from the till area, and the ‘manger’ was trying to belittle the poor member of staff on the till, (who, by the way, was a lovely young lad who had came in from a different store to help her!!)
She called him out for being rude and derogative towards a customer before me who he served, but he was as polite as anything!
The ‘manager’ really needs to get her act together! It’s no wonder staff from other stores are having to come in and help her, if she treats all of her staff like that! I feel really bad for the young lad on the till, and hope he was treated better at his own store!

This is the very first time I’m writing a review on any thing but I have to do this cause it’s totally unacceptable.
There’s a manager in Exeter fore street , she’s the most horrible old woman I’ve ever seen. She treats the staffs like trash and humiliates them in presence of customers. I’ve never seen same person twice at bargain buys fore street Exeter cause no one can work in Such condition. I hate going there because of her . I don’t know what or who she is , she doesn’t deserve to be there.

In exeter there's two managers called Pauline and Tina and they treat their employees terribly 😔 Idc that im naming them since they deserve to be fired. Theirs a reason they have lost over 100 employees in the past 2 years and I know so many customers have witnessed this treatment!

They have all these tickets telling people that items are reduced or 2 for 3 or XXX £'s if you buy two.However when you get to the checkout you are charged full price.I was in my local store just after 10am on Friday 02/06.It wasn't busy and at the checkout I even pointed out the items that were on offer and put them on the counter separate.I was still charged £1.75 for every item and not £1.25.I had bought these items before and had returned to this store on purpose to get the same items.I checked the offer was still on.I thought the price being charged did not sound right but I was in a hurry and did not check before I left the store and have only now checked the receipt.If can find somewhere selling the same items I won't go back to Bargain Buys as I cannot afford to be over charged by £'s on every shop.There are few enough Stores in my town without the one's that are here ripping customers off.

Waste of money, do not buy burgainbuys rugs, blanket, throws as it is of the lowest quality. The fur come off the bkanket and sticks in your clothes. You cannot even return if you don't like the product,

Went in consett store to buy cooking foils advertised at £3.50 bought two at the till came to £10 told cashier the price on shelf another of member of staff checked price said there's nothing we can do about it as the prices were changed the day before even though still advertising £3.50 won't be back there again .

I visited the store in Durham on 13/5/22, purchased 6 items I buy regularly for 50p each =£3, went back to the store on 19/5/22 and they were advertising this 50% off if you spend £5 or more so I purchased more of the same product not realising until after I left, they had doubled the prices on nearly everything in store. so you are actually paying the same with this so called offer than without. What a RIP OFF SCAM. How can you justify this at the time people are struggling to make ends meet and go in expecting to shop a little cheaper. I wonder if they are conning people at their other so called discount store POUNDSTRETCHER.

Went to the Store in Consett and they would not honour the50% off everything in your basket if you spend more than £5 even though they had posters
plastered all over the walls!!!

On Wednesday 14th April 2022 around 13.15pm me and my 15 year old daughter, decided to come in to store to have a look around,we don't live in Dunstable so had never been in this store before.
Not knowing what you sold I picked up a basket just incase I needed it,my daughter and I walked round the store not seeing any staff around we noticed the store was very untidy but continued looking around we only picked up two boxes of Paracetamol and headed for the till.
When we got to till there was two members of staff just talking about another female member of staff,I proceeded to put the basket on the counter went to get the small boxes I had in basket out for the lady to put through till to which one of them snatched the basket from me,sucked her teeth at me and gave me a very nasty look. It made me feel very uncomfortable so much so I just put boxes down and walked out feeling very annoyed and angry.
I'm not sure what either me or my daughter had done to get this reaction?
I no what we was buying wasn't alot of money but having worked in retail myself I no every penny a customer spends helps to keep that company in business.
All I no is I will never go to this particular store again and I shall be telling family and friends to avoid this store because of this single incident.
I'm not one to complain as said before having worked in retail myself I no how hard it is to please every customer, but if this is how customers are treated when they do come in store I can completely understand why at this time of day the shop was empty and staff was able to stand around talking.

I witnessed Very poor service by staff in Bradford thornbury branch this evening I witnessed a member of staff being very rude to Asian female lady who just asked her a question, the staff tone of voice was rude arrogant had a attitude she clearly didn’t want to be at work then a white male member of staff approaches the customer with no visible uniform as he had a north face jumper on asks if they was a problem the customer was taken back by his approached said what do u mean as she didn’t recognise him this staff identified himself as a manager the customer asked for his name he said Liam or Lewis refused to give his surname said I’m the store manger. The customer explained what happened regarding the rude member of staff this manager had a rude arrogance mannerism about him he was talking down to this Asian lady who was not rude at any point I could clearly tell this manger had issue with this Asian lady as I’ve been to this store many times I’ve witnessed how this man speaks to customers only with authentic minority. I have questioned him about his attitude in the past he threatened me that he’s the store manager. Today I witnessed it myself the customer identified herself as a civil servant officer said I was taken back by you clearly as you wasn’t dressed in uniform I assumed you could be a prisoner I’ve locked up as you approached me saying is there a problem. This manager has no professional customer service about he’s clearly not suitable to be a manager as he is racist this is very poor service delivered by staff representing your store.

Worst company I've worked for treated you like crap
