Shocking after sales, TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!!!

First Experience:
My Kamado Konnected arrived broken, and getting a replacement turned into an absolute ordeal. It was far more hassle than it should have been.

Second Experience:
Despite my reservations, I reluctantly ordered a Camp Chef from BBQ Land, as they seemed to be the only UK dealer. I hoped for the best—but the second time I used it, the electrics tripped. After eight attempts to get through, someone finally answered the phone—yay! Unfortunately, they were unhelpful and simply told me to contact Camp Chef directly. Not the level of support I expected.

After speaking with Camp Chef, they confirmed they had already supplied BBQ Land with a container full of replacement parts and instructed them to send me a new hopper. Following this, I made 12 phone calls over three separate days trying to follow up—without success. Eventually, I gave up and initiated my 28-day full refund.

Not a single apology was offered throughout the entire process. The after-sales team was one of the most awkward and unprofessional I’ve encountered.

Absolutely stay away!
This experience has not only put me off ever using BBQ Land again, but also turned me off Camp Chef entirely. I’ll be switching to Traeger from now on.

Pit Boss griddle

Terrible experience - avoid

Tldr - AVOID!

Purchaseed a pit barrel cooker, when it arrived it was damaged. Emailed to arrange a replacement which took 6 days to get to me and was also damaged. Based on the tape, it looked like this box had been opened before getting to me.

Although it was damaged, I was keen to use the cooker so I asked for a discount instead of returning it. However I was refused this as "it only needed some enamel paint" and any offer made would "be an insult". I suspect this will get sold to someone else and I wonder if these units had been returned in the past and then shipped out again to me - I can only speculate.

I agreed to a refund. I then waited a week to hear anything about it being collected, but after hearing nothing I decided to chase up the collection. This was then arranged for the next day - my prompting was clearly needed to triggered some action.

When the courier arrived they wouldn't collect the item as it was "too big" (not the shops fault) but then it took days to get it collected, all the while there was no communication from Richard as to what the courier was doing. After the bbq was returned to the shop a few days later, I waited to get my money back. 14 days later, and nothing had been processed. I had to chase for a refund which was then made a couple of days later. Again, basic service was only delivered when I chased it.

In all:
- A clear lack of organisation and care
- Terse communications from Richard
- Zero proactive service, having to be reminded and promoted to driver the basics

I will not be using this shop again.

Avoid avoid avoid!

Ordered a bag of bbq pellets. Received a bag that had already been opened and cello-taped back up!
Sent photos and asked for a refund to be told this would be given once they had collected the pellets.
Agreed and asked for this to be arranged. No further response from them! Seller extremely rude and seems happy selling open/damaged items that have been at risk of cross contamination, from for example, rats to unsuspecting customers and is zero help on highlighting the issue. Avoid these like the plague unless you like throwing your money away!

Edited to add the pellets are reboxed and awaiting collection which has not yet been arranged! Absolutely nothing suspicious going on here. I have no intention of using possibly contaminated pellets and risking my children’s health. Would appreciate the company actually coming to collect these but clearly they have enough time on their hands to argue and get defensive with customers who over their poor service!

When we receive delivery of pellets from the manufacturer and a bag has a hole in it, our warehouse team will repair the bag with Sellotape immediately.
On receipt of this customer email, we immediately responded, asking the customer to rebox the pellets for us to collect and process a refund. The customer advised us that the box had been disposed of.
We are a little suspicious as to why the customer would dispose of the outer box immediately on receipt of the goods, despite it being immediately obvious that they were intending to reject the goods and request a return / refund - which would require the outer box.

Kamado Big Joe 3

Ordered a Kamado Big Joe 3 and various accessories. Delivery estimated as 2-3 days.

Order placed on a Wednesday, got a notification of despatch on Thursday evening, and all items arrived on a large pallet first thing Friday morning. All items exactly as expected and good tracking service with the delivery company.

Very happy all round!

5 star service from BBQ Land

5 star service from BBQ Land. Last Friday I purchase an Oonie pizza oven & the pizza peel. I purchase from BBQ Land because the pizza oven was over £20 cheaper. The item was delivered the following Tuesday & looks great. I haven’t used it yet but had no issues so far. The only improvement I would have made would have been to get warning that the delivery was coming the day prior because I was at work & had to leave at lunch because I got a text confirming it was arriving soon. But I would use BBQ Land again in future & can’t complain at their great prices.

Been a long time customer and brought a quiet a lot over the years. But no longer.

Just because I got my bbq from Costco and I asked for advice, Mr Grumpy came out..

Used to get good advice on offer but now will stick with Bedford BBQ, far nicer people..

Sorry to hear this, but we are not a Costco support clinic - if you need customer support or advice for a Costco product then you need to speak with Costco. If we are very busy, as we always are, then we do not always make time to dispense bbq advice when our time could be more profitably spent.

Good service

I purchased a grill and was not able to get it heating up evenly, I called BBQLand and they offered me a refund if I was not happy with the grill. Very good service, once I get the refund, I will be looking to go back and get a Traeger

Really Poor Items - Dusty - old - awful customer service

Shipped an item that had a very short use by date on it - the packaging was super dusty and cracked and it had obviously been on somebody’s shelf for a long time. When I asked if they had newer ones they said no - so I asked to return it, they said I needed to send a photo and pay for postage - obviously just to make me go away. Dreadful customer service and a real attitude. Avoid.

The Best Before date on this Dry Rub was 35 days after the delivery date. Taking into account that this is a Best Before date, and not a Use By date, we consider this acceptable.
We were not shown photos of the packaging, nor was 'dusty and cracked' mentioned to us at any time.
We offered the customer a refund if they cared to return this dry rub to us.
The customer declined to take us up on this opportunity.

Was impressed when I purchased the 4…

Was impressed when I purchased the 4 burner Pitboss griddle. However, not matter what I do to keep it clean the food always sticks to it. It has the ceramic coating coming off in the corner as well. The reason for the 1 star is because, I have contacted customer support and have no response. The burner is less than a year old. The griddle was sent as pre-seasoned, so you don't have to go through this process. We clean it after use every time and have used different oils to cook with, but still no change with food sticking. I have seen various videos on youtube and the food seems to slide back and forth without sticking. All I want is some customer support or a new griddle sent out, that is already seasoned.

Decided to treat myself to a new smoker…

Decided to treat myself to a new smoker and decided on a ProQ . BBQ land had a great deal on a package so I decided to take the plunge . Delivery was quick and hassle free and the delivery driver was helpful . I haven't set it up yet but the packaging is undamaged so I'm presuming the contents all intact .

Richard and Vinny were fantastic...
Visited the showroom where Richard showed us the Gozney Dome pizza oven explained everything really well and advise was spot on.
Went home and ordered it along with stand and 12 other items....
Spoke with Vinny on the phone to sort out an item delivery really helpful.

Just can’t go wrong

Ordered a dual fuel on a Wednesday for a birthday present on the Sunday even though it said delivery was 2-3 business days. I called their offices and was told the sale had already passed to the warehouse and I would have it before the weekend. It was delivered on Thursday before my kids went to school! Flipping awesome service and the kit is just brilliant. Well done and thank you.

Excellent Customer Service.

I bought an item from BBQLand.co.uk which either had an issue or had been incorrectly advertised by the well known brand. I spoke to the site and they resolved the issue extremely quickly with no hassle. The delivery was quick and well organised and the communications was first rate. Thanks for your help.

Brilliant service, highly recommended

We bought an Ooni pizza oven from BBQ Land in June and I absolutely love it. We had a party and everyone was amazed at this amazing bit of kit and the yummy pizzas that came out of it.

Not only is the pizza oven amazing the service I got when I bought it from BBQ Land was perfect. For me the cost was not insignificant and I really thought hard and long before buying it. The lovely man at BBQ Land was really informative and patient answering my questions before despatching the unit that arrived quickly and was perfect.
