Bensons For Beds - Basildon Avis 

I can’t recommend Bensons for Beds enough. From being in store to delivery everything was perfect. I haven’t purchased a new bed in a long time so was apprehensive but didn’t need to be. I did go a bit mad in store but it’s been so worth it. The delivery were so friendly and full of advice. Overall an excellent service.

The shop assistant Helen helped us and had so much patience letting us try different mattresses beds and pillows , and showing us all options , we didnt know what we wanted other than it had to be kingsize and an ottoman base she then printed a quote of what we wanted , there was no pressure to purchase and was put at ease. We then went away to various other shops but came back and purchased and are happy , now just got to wait for delivery.

I had a really great experience from the sales person in the store all the way through to delivery. Really good communication all the way.

I bought my bed online but it was being able to view the bed in store that made this a great experience! I went to two stores - Rayleigh and Basildon and the staff were incredibly helpful! I wouldn’t have bought a bed if it hadn’t been for being able to see it in person, And having physical stores have Bensons a huge edge over online only bed sellers. Really impressed, thanks Bensons!

I was promised a delivery date and 1 of the beds didn’t arrive. They then pushed it back by 2 weeks. Don’t trust the delivery timelines - you’ll be left disappointed. I only used them as they offered the quickest lead times.

My original purchase was made in early February 2026 with delivery and assembly scheduled for 9th April 2026 on first use the drawer bottoms fell out due to no dowels fitted at assembly, I was offered some compensation and a small chest of drawers unit, which I accepted with delivery scheduled for a further 6 to 8 weeks time. At the end of this period I chased this up only to be told, the order hadn’t been placed correctly and I would have to wait a further 6 to 8 weeks taking me up to the end of June 2026, at this point I had decided to assemble the furniture myself due to the extremely poor construction previously, which was agreed by the company. Delivery was due on the 29th June 2026 however on this date the delivery lorry developed a flat tyre, resulting in a further weeks delay, on delivery, the fitters were expecting to assemble the item not having received a message that it was delivery only. On completing the assembly myself I became aware that the wrong size had been delivered to me which meant rearranging my existing furniture to accommodate this, all in all a most unsatisfactory stressful experience.

Amazing product ranges , even better customer service . I had a problem with my order was promptly solved .

We were greeted by Sheila who was very helpful and helped us work out exactly what we needed. We went back the next day and another lady who was alsovery helpful and outlined our order with ease.

Received my Bensons mattress today and was very pleased had my phone call and delivery was earlier which was great . They unwrapped mattress and placed on bed and they were extremely polite and courteous.I will definitely be going to Bensons again as I found them a very helpful and caring company

The store has a wide variety of mattresses, which can make choosing quite difficult. However, thanks to Robin, we were able to make a well-informed decision. He was patient, kind, and answered every question in great detail. It’s clear he has a very deep knowledge of mattresses.
I also had a few follow-up questions the next day and called requesting to speak with him. Although he was with another customer, he called me back as promised and was just as helpful over the phone. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience.
The delivery service was also excellent. Kay and James were courteous, professional, and helpful.
