The young lady, Maria, who helped me to find the right bed was very knowledgeable and personable. She clearly explained all the possible options of bases, mattresses and headboards without trying to influence my choice. This made for a pleasant shopping experience.

Maria was more than helpful whilst choosing our bed. She gave us time to ponder but was willing to answer any questions. It was good that we were able to select, a bedframe, mattress and headboard to our liking. It was altogether a pleasant experience.

We were greeted and assisted by friendly staff, found the bed and mattress we were looking for, signed up for an affordable finance deal that afternoon and the bed was delivered and assembled in the room of our choice 3 weeks later - what more could we ask? Would definitely recommend

Stuart was absolutely great in helping me confirm what suits my existing sciatic needs and was able to process my order in a way that would benefit me.

I bought the Staples & Co Artisan Pure Decadence Mattress. Overall the bed is comfortable to sleep on but the natural fibre filling have the mattress smelling like a farmyard. I bought the bed in feb 2026 so have given it a good go for at least 6 months. I have tried to air it out and even spent about 3 weeks sleeping in the guest room. It was a pretty expensive mistake, I will have to give in and buy another mattress and hope it smells better.

My husband and I noticed Bensons for Beds during our recent trip to St Michael's Retail Park (Basingstoke). We have been planning to upgrade our bed, so we popped into the showroom to browse the available options. Maria welcomed us as we entered the store. When I mentioned I had scoliosis - a sideways curvature of the spine - she immediately identified the most suitable beds.

I have never tested a bed in public before, but Maria's tactful and professional interpersonal skills put me at ease. Furthermore, the showroom's environment was clean and inviting. The quality of the first mattress that I tested was PERFECT! Maria suggested that I try another for comparison. We were very impressed with her technical knowledge.

Though we did not intend to buy a bed that day, we were confident that we had found the ideal bed, thanks to Maria.

UPDATE on 02/10/2026 - In my previous review, I should have made it clearer that we DID, in fact, purchase a Sealy Bronte Posturepedic Mattress and Divan on our first visit to Bensons For Beds. In fact, we are looking forward to their delivery in 3 days.
