Very helpful assistant
Nabila, the assistant who saw us coming in could not have been more helpful. She explained what was available and found exactly what we wanted. We hope the delivery process is equally as good.

Missing item and delivery issues.
We purchased four beds (bases, frames and mattresses). On the day of delivery despite the notes stating they should be taken to the rooms the delivery men left everything downstairs for us to take up ourselves. There was one bed base that didn’t arrive and we were not informed about this beforehand. We called customer service and were connected with a rude advisor who only offered delivery fee compensation which is not good enough. We called back the next day and spoke to someone slightly more understanding - the compensation only changed slightly and didn’t even touch the surface of the inconvenience caused. We were on the phone for an hour and honestly just gave up. Customers are spending thousands and they can’t even be bothered to compensate people appropriately after their mistakes. It’s also worth noting to be careful in store when purchasing items as they love sneakily adding insurance policies and unnecessary items at a cost. It’s worth calling in advance to check the order will be delivered correctly because there is a lot of incompetence.

The staff at the Beckton branch were soooo lovely it was a freezing day but they still had warm smiles. I was looking for a spare part for a bed and they were able to take my admin fee and point me in the right direction.

Bought wardrobes from bensons
Bought wardrobes from bensons
They arrived to install them and forgot the handles
They said they would order them and arrange to fit them on
We waited 2 weeks and heard nothing and I called them, bensons said they are not aware of this and ordered them again
Today they contacted me at 6.49 am to say they would arrive between 2-4pm
I agreed because I was at work till 1pm
Bensons arrived early while I was at work
I told them it’s between 2-4 and they said well it’s an estimate and I should I have waited in all day
I said that’s unacceptable and they said they won’t be coming again and I should deal with it my self
I won’t be using bensons again and I have reported them to the finance company v12 under section 75 of the consumer credit act
I now await a refund from v12 who will persue bensons
