Account closed, terrible customer service system.
I have used many bookmakers, and this is by far the worst experience I've had so far.
On signing up, my account was immediately restricted before I could even submit any ID verification or similar.
On contacting customer support, there was a 20 minute queue to get through to a person (the bot was unable to assist in any way).
On reaching a person, if you didn't respond within a couple of minutes, they ended the chat and you had to start again. This was extremely frustrating and unfair - given that I personally had to wait 20 minutes for them, they would not do the courtesy of waiting a few minutes for me.
On reaching customer support and explaining the situation, they simply said that they would raise this issue and contact me by email, and that was it.
I heard nothing for the rest of the day, and it was not until the next day that they finally responded, simply stating that they've closed my Betfred account, declined my custom going forward, and that they are not obligated to provide the reason for their decision.
Absolutely awful experience all around, and a complete waste of a day. I would not recommend bothering to sign up, there are countless other bookmakers, and I've never been refused like this by a single other one. I'd be curious if Betfred could give me the reason for their decision, but I doubt it will change my review of this awful site.
