Excessive Plastic Packaging
Packaging of 100 plastic measuring cylinders each in a sealed plastic bag (all with a hole in the middle so can't re use!) within a larger plastic bag in a cardboard box.
Why are you not using biodegradable packaging? Totally inexcusable in these times.

We have been using biodegradable airflow and biodegradable bubble wrap for some time, we also use boxes made in the UK from recycled cardboard. In the case of the measuring cylinders being placed in plastic bags, this is how the global manufacturer delivers the measuring cylinders to us as many of their customers insist on each cylinder being individually wrapped for hygiene purposes. In line with our desire to continuously improve we have lobbied the global manufacturer to find a solution to either use biodegradable plastic or in our case to remove the plastic bag altogether. We would like to thank you for choosing to order from Better Equipped in the first place and we hope you were happy with all other elements of our service. They don't refund unless the item is…
They don't refund unless the item is unused and in original package. Which is against regulation of goods sold over internet. To realised the item I bought was different from description and not fit for purpose I had obviously to open the package and try it.

Excellent - I was apprehensive but I'd order again
I was apprehensive given the run of bad reviews this company has - I'm so glad I gave them a go anyway! Everything arrived packed *incredibly* well - you get a freebie (which you can choose) with every order and randomly, a free chocolate bar - thanks for the wispa gold haha! I ordered lots of random glassware for a craft project and all arrived packed safe and sound! 24 hour delivery too - expensive but a good option as standard.

I placed an order for my company with 3 days delivery, after 4 days they send emails confirming dely then another email informing me delivery would take over 4 weeks for lak of stock, I've asked for refund twice by email no reply until this moment, they have phone number keep ringing but no answer. Shame to bussniss in uk .

Please accept our sincere apologies for the delay in completing your order. This is not the usual standard of service we offer and for this we sincerely apologise. Whilst we carry thousands of products in stock we had some issues with disruption to our supply chains as a result of well documented global issues/shocks. We have however made a number of changes which would hopefully avoid the issue you unfortunately experienced from recurring. These changes include increasing our stock holding further to offset any external supply chain shocks; we have also changed our website to make it clearer to show if an item is in stock or is 'available to back order'. The vast majority of items we show on our site are shipped from stock and so would be despatched within 1-2 working days of receiving an order; if a customer orders an item marked as being 'available for back order' our new system will automatically email a customer with an expected delivery date. We can of course also respond by email or phone to any query about lead times for an 'available to back order' item before any order is placed. Once again please accept our sincere apologies for the delay in completing your order and should you choose to order from us again we hope to demonstrate the level of service we usually provide and you deserve. Dear Iain, thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are really sorry but our company policy is to only sell hazardous chemicals to schools and colleges. As such we cancelled your order as the item ordered contained the active chemicals Acetone and Methyl Ethyl Ketone which although are commonly available online from other suppliers are classed as a hazardous chemical and as such fall foul of our company policy. We understand your frustration and sincerely apologise for the inconvenience of cancelling your order. Our chemical supply policy is much stricter than many other companies but we do this to ensure we are operating in the most responsible way possible and to ensure we avoid any potential misuse of hazardous chemicals or substances. From time to time this does mean we cancel orders containing hazardous chemicals from innocent parties with only good intentions such as yourself and we apologise sincerely for the impact this has on any potential customer. I hope you understand our policy on chemicals and hope you will consider ordering other products from Better Equipped in the future. Good experiences
Interesting reading some reviews. I’ve been regularly ordering from them for approximately 4 months now and never had one single issue. Always received orders within 3 working days via parcel force 24 service. Any items out of stock a quick phone call to them always politely answered with an estimated stock replenishment given. This is usually a spot on estimate.
Would love a discount code though. The celebrations and blue ribbon aren’t cutting it lol

Time wasters
Similar to other reviews, sold a product to me without specifying how long it would take to be delivered. When pressed a few days later they admitted it would be 4 weeks. After 4 weeks, with no other updates I asked for an update and received no reply. When I asked again they cancelled my order. Massive waste of time.

The worst supplier I've ever experienced
Try to avoid hassle with these guys. Their customer service is just horrendous. I purchased some branded glass tubes from them for my design business as my original supplier did not have them in stock. Many of them arrived broken, not just broken but crumbled, and contaminated others with micro bits in the same box. I never had such an experience with the products. They are usually very sturdy, durable, and thick. However, their products were not consistent in sizes and thickness, and rims are wonky, clearly something was VERY WRONG. It is related to health & safety issues, so I decided not to take a risk of sending them out to my clients, so I claimed for return & refund. However, they were wasting my time trying not to take it back. It seems like whether their clients are happy with their products is their least concern. Finally, they arranged a pickup but I haven’t heard from them for more than a week. It seems like they are comfortable with owing money to their customer.
It is just 30 quids for one box of tubes in my case, but if you deal with them for fairly big worth of goods, RECONSIDER. The moment that you deal with their customer service for an issue, you will easily notice they are not a well-minded business.

Horrible service and POOR management
DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!
I feel this is a disorganized and dishonest business i have been waiting almost 4 weeks for a product that was "in stock" and would take "2-3 days" to arrive and i still have not received my glassware. When i tried ordering the item online i was met with the problem that i could not use my card so it had to be done over the phone. After waiting a few days i called again and was told the order had not been processed but will be done now. after this i was still curious as to where my glassware was so i recalled and was then told it was not in stock. i find this terrible that they could not even call me that they had made a mistake and need to send it for delivery. now every time i ask they just respond with "we are waiting for it to be delivered from our manufacturer" with no idea when they will get a delivery and no compensation for this appalling show of bad customer service to say thew least.
