This section of Bikeworks is where you order a cycle taxi and pedal next to your driver. I used it a couple of times last year and found it a pleasant, low stress way to get around the city and a great way to contribute to saving the planet.
This year, however, I was informed that, owing to funding restrictions, I would only be allowed to travel within my borough. This renders the service useless for any serious purpose and restricts it mainly for pleasure and leisure activities. I would happily pay for my journeys and find it really regrettable that such a good idea has been wrecked by stupid funding regulations.
I would add that they need to upgrade their booking practice. Emails were missed and misunderstood and my driver was unhappy with that aspect of her job.

I have token the maintenance course and I would highly recommended. Very practical way to learn. Great tips, good explications and you practice with your hands and the bicycle which is the best way.

BikeWorks (a bike shop & non-profit cycling charity), has to be one of the best bike shops in London. Though small, it runs a great repair workshop, where bikes are repaired & serviced quickly & efficiently at very reasonable costs. It also sells serviced second-hand bikes at good prices, runs bike repair & riding courses etc. The girls who work there (Ana & Anabel) are efficient, professional, super-knowledgeable & generally brilliant. Cannot recommend it highly enough. It doesn't actually need any more 5* reviews, but it certainly deserves it. Go girls!
