I could shop at my own pace with no pushy salesperson approaching every couple of minutes. When I needed advice, communication was great and very efficient, my trade in was valued and I test drove another car all within my first visit. The car I came to view had a couple of scratches and Richie assured me that these would all be fixed up to new condition on collection (which it was). Very quick, easy and stress free process from start to finish, would highly recommend as I am very happy with my purchase and overall experience!

I purchased a 2020 BMW X2 from Bill Griffin Motors in July 2025 for just under €30,000 and collected it in early August. I also purchased warranty which expires in 2027. The warranty I received as part of the sale was 3 months in duration.

Unfortunately, within a few weeks of ownership I began experiencing intermittent drivetrain warning alerts. I reported these issues to the dealership in early September 2025 and the car was assessed, but no fault was identified at that time. The battery was replaced.

The warning returned intermittently over the following months and i flagged this with the sales person. In January 2026 the vehicle was assessed again because of a warning message for the AdBlue system. This was through the warranty process and a transmission fault was eventually identified. Though Bill Griffin advised that it was not their issue to deal with at the time, they transported my car from the Warranty Approved Garage in Cork back to their own Garage in Dublin with out my knowledge. I happened to contact the Warranty company, who informed me that my car was no longer with the garage in Cork, but had infact been collected by Bill Griffin Motors.

In addition to the replacement of the AdBlue tank, The repair required a full transmission replacement and the car was off the road for approximately six weeks. The initial Garage in Cork took it on Jan 29th and I collected it from Bill Griffin on March 10th.
On many occasions I requested a temporary car from Bill Griffin, as I require transport for work all of the time. This was one of the reasons I spent 30k on a high end car in the first place. I was refused on the basis that the garage aren't under obligation to provide one.

While the repair was ultimately completed and the vehicle is now back on the road, the experience was extremely frustrating. Communication during the process was often slow, phone calls were not returned, and I had to repeatedly follow up for updates. Given the scale of the repair and the length of time the vehicle was unavailable, this caused significant inconvenience to me.

I was also asked to contribute €500 towards the repair despite having reported drivetrain issues within weeks of purchasing the car. I did this, albeit reluctantly.

To be fair, the dealership and warranty provider did contribute towards the cost of the repair and the car has now been returned to me. However, the overall experience left me extremely disappointed, disheartened given the reputation of the dealership and the level of customer service I expected when purchasing a car of this value.

I hope this feedback helps the dealership improve communication and customer care for future customers.

Bought a car from Richie in Bill Griffins and was really impressed with how professional and efficient the process was. I was regularly updated on progress and the car was ready for collection ahead of the original collection date. Stress free experience!
