Having been advised I would benefit from Dental implants instead of conventional crowns by my local dentist, I was recommended to BDS.

From the initial appointment, I was comprehensively informed by Amit Patel (BDS) that 3 implants (4 teeth) were required, I felt thoroughly confident despite being nervous for the implants to be done.

Amit was very clear in explaining the procedure and that ‘Yes’ there would be some pain, but it would be well worth it once it was finished. How right Amit was, the whole procedure took about 6 months to complete and there was discomfort from time to time, but I am extremely delighted with my new teeth.

I would highly recommend Amit and the BDS team if your considering dental implants.

They deserve Zero Stars. They dished out an array of egotism, unprofessionalism + evasive behaviour… it’s clear they are insecure & odd as people - They should learn some manners & people skills. I am a respected man in my profession.. I’ve never treated anyone like they were below me. A Patel & his staff are both rude & entitled. I had to walk out.. it was that awful an experience - causing my tooth and gums to hurt due to forcefully using the wrong size proxy brush, and then shoving it into my face & nose, telling me to smell it.

To finish: A. Patel was behaving weird because none of the other dental / orthodontist practises knew who he was or recommended him to me. It’s totally clear why.

I’ve also seen in the reviews that it’s not the first time he has behaved like this. Also, the 5 star reviews are so obviously done using AI. STAY AWAY FROM HERE.

I recently had three dental implants fitted at Birmingham Dental Specialists and couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Like many people, I was initially very nervous—especially about the idea of a sinus lift and bone graft. However, from the very first consultation, Dr Amit Patel put me completely at ease.

He took the time to explain the entire procedure in detail, answered all my questions patiently, and addressed every concern I had. His calm, reassuring manner made a huge difference, and I felt I was in very safe hands throughout.

The entire team at BSD were equally friendly, welcoming, and professional. Their attentive care made the whole process far less daunting than I had feared.

My whole experience was excellent from start to finish of the treatment. I am someone who is very anxious about any dental work. I was very nervous when I first came to Amit, but he was so knowledgeable and professional which helped me to feel reassured. He made me feel at ease throughout the whole process. The treatment was little painful but the results were excellent. I was told previously that I am not a good candidate for a bridge or implants but Amit made it happen. I am so grateful to Amit as it’s definitely life changing. It couldn’t go any better. Can’t recommend BDS highly enough. And everyone at the practise is so lovely and friendly, making me feel less nervous about the whole experience.

Waited a long time to re-write this review, as previously wrote it on a popular search engine, which they must have requested be removed rather than ask for more information.

They also have suspiciously outstanding 5 star reviews, which makes you question authenticity. So be aware.

Absolute nightmare experience with this dental practice, went in a while back for a dental implant consultation, really arrogant specialist (most are) but he took it a step further and decided to suddenly and randomly use dental sticks in my mouth without permission and made my entire gums bleed profusely. His response was, your mouth is so dirty and you don't floss. The blood is normal and proceeded to put the used stick up my nose to emphasise the disgusting smell and how dirty I am.

He then boasted about his state of the art imaging machine, which you have to stand and hold in place. He didn't set it up right and as it went round, it trapped my head, causing a lot of pain but this guy was so up in his own stratosphere, he didn't realise, so I had to free myself.

I just went in for a consultation but went out violated and bruised, with a mouthful of blood and feeling smelly and ashamed.

Would definitely never recommend this place.
