Served by Joe upstairs for a new pair of boots. With difficulty in finding something that is comfortable and fits my feet , it is always difficult but Joe was happy to get out as many different boots as I need and gave excellent advice on makes and styles, well done and thank you.

I had an issue with a product I purchased and could only find my credit card statement. I called the store who traced the receipt and the product issue resolved. Thank you Dave and Jamie. The service over the phone and in store was excellent. Thank you. Bury St Edmunds store.

So impressed with the service. Went in to look at walking shoes. Dave was really helpful in his advice, and very patient in getting more and more shoes for me to try. Very knowledgeable and gave me the information I needed to make a decision.

I had an excellent experience yesterday at Black‘s where I was trying to buy some midi walking boots. Neil who served me gave me new information that I didn’t know about and was so helpful. I always enjoy shopping at Black’s because all the staff are really friendly.

Came in for smidge insect repellent. “It’s upstairs” said one assistant. “I’ll go and get it” said another. In a flash, there it was - at the till.

It is often the little things that count - just like this. Thank you!

As per usual going into a shop to find size 13 shoes starts off with "Do you know if you have any size 13 shoes?" The younger guy points to Dan, (or Joe, definitely 3 letters), who guides me upstairs. Back in two minutes he brings 3 boxes of various price range size 13 shoes and iterates that there are boots on the way. We chat about various trips, boot technology and the Hitch hikers guide to the galaxy. All in all very friendly and professional and I walk out with super comfortable perfect size Merrels at a very reasonable price. Generally a very pleasant experience.

Went in to buy my son's first scout rucksack. Danielle provided an excellent service and ensured that the bag fitted properly and offered great advise. We left happy with a well fitted bag for sons camping trip, he even wore it for the rest of the day which was handy for carrying shopping!!

I was in Blacks yesterday, looking for a light weight
jacket, when a young assistant approached me offering
his help. He was extremely helpful, finding one jacket
after another for me to try, nothing was too much bother,
it was rather a pity I could not find anything suitable
but before leaving the shop, I thanked him for his patience, and was thinking what a great sales assistant he was, his name is Jamie

We’ve been to the shop twice recently and both my wife and I had superb service from Danielle - the second time we went specifically to see her, as her walking shoe recommendations were so good. Top quality service!

We were served by Danielle she was very knowledgeable about backpacks shoes coats and trousers, made some excellent recommendations and I’m excited to use them when I go to university. Everything was excellent quality and the staff made our transaction super quick and easy, couldn’t fault the service. Next time I need outdoor equipment I will be going back

Greeting us on arrival was welcoming and friendly. We were joined upstairs after a few minutes … just to see how we were doing and if we needed any help. Charlie could not have been more helpful. He was super knowledgeable, not at all pushy and seemed to care about the service he was offering. Visited Blacks in Bury St Edmunds on 8th June to purchase some walking boots for my wife. The assistant Jamie was very helpful and knowledgeable to the extent that I also purchased a pair of walking boots for myself :-)

A visit to Blacks while in Bury St Edmunds proved a successfull excercise in the search for a pair of walking trainers for a man with wide flat feet no easy task job completed with the help from Danielle who not only was patianced but had a high level of knowlèdge on footwear my thanks to her for her professionalism

My girlfriend has recently gotten into walks and small hikes, but didn’t have much knowledge on the topic. Danielle was more than helpful in figuring out what shoes and boots work best, and how to look after them and her feet. We ended up taking over an hour, and Danielle was fantastically helpful the whole time.
