Bupa Dental Care UK Avis 

My dentist, Jim, is professional, approachable and very easy to talk to. I always feel comfortable and relaxed during my dental appointments, which makes such a difference. He is extremely knowledgeable, and all treatments have been painless. Both of my children are also patients at the same practice and are very well looked after. I couldn't be happier with the care we receive. Highly recommend!

Outstanding care for complex needs—wish I could give 6 stars!

This is my second review for Bupa Dental Practice on Red Lion Street, Burnley (BB11 2AE). I first reviewed the practice some time ago, but felt I needed to update it.

Recap: I have a very rare, life-threatening disease and rely on steroids to live. For any health issues or treatments, it is imperative that the healthcare provider follows my clinical needs and the protocol from The Christie Hospital to the letter. That condition has not changed; it is with me for life.

I was back in the dentist's chair on 13th October 2026, seeing my dentist, Zayd Rawoot, for a complete new top denture fit. Unfortunately, it isn't quite giving me the bite I need to chew yet. However, this is not down to Zayd or ill-fitting dentures—it's just my anatomy! The denture itself is amazing and exactly what I asked for, but it needs a minor tweak, which all new dentures do. I will keep you posted on whether I can manage my steak soon!

I have to give a massive shout-out to Zayd Rawoot. On joining the practice, I was allocated to him, and I cannot thank him enough. He went out of his way in his own time to read up on my condition, ensuring I received the best and safest possible treatment tailored to my health needs. This is a massive credit to his professionalism. He is kind, patient, reassuring, empathetic, and extremely good at what he does.

Like many, I’ve had a fear of the dentist since childhood. But for me, that fear is amplified by my health and the vital importance of medical professionals getting it right. If they get it wrong, it can be fatal. Not all healthcare professionals get it right or are even aware of this disease because it is so rare. Some tell me to "ask your Christie's consultant" or try to wing it, which is terrifying—and I unfortunately mean doctors and the odd consultant when I say that. I know this because I have experienced it firsthand many times.

Rest assured, Zayd’s knowledge, understanding, and professionalism have put most of my fears to bed. He has also passed this care down to his staff. Reception actually telephones me prior to my appointments to ensure I have up-dosed on my medication. Would your dental practice do that? Would your dentist go out of his way in his own time to research a patient's rare condition? Mine does.

Two other members of staff also stand out: Peppe and Courtney (though this praise goes to all the staff, I'm just bad with names!). They are wonderful at putting you at ease, whether you are sitting in the dentist's chair or speaking to them at reception.

I cannot praise this team enough. Thank you all—and if I could give 6 stars, I absolutely would.

The receptionist was welcoming and friendly, and the dentist was equally pleasant, professional and attentive. They took the time to listen and showed genuine care and consideration for my dental health and overall well-being. A very positive experience!

After a shaky start to the year with particular dental treatments, I changed my dentist and cannot be more pleased. My Dentist, Athanasios Gkimpiritis, is super professional, very friendly and above all a brilliant dentist. He has enabled me to smile again, for that I will be eternally grateful. The dental nurses and the receptionists also deserve a shout, they are very accommodating and again friendly.

Very good Dentist. Makes you feel at ease. Talks through. Everything
