No way

It's Friday night, we take the kids to the sweets aisle of the supermarket to pick a treat for our family film night. Our youngest is 4 and loves cats/kittens, loves strawberry flavour sweets AND SPOTS THE NETFLIX LOGO ON THE BAG!!! It doesn't matter what shelf its on, she has eyes and the packaging appeals to young kids), and then I have to tell her she can't have them, and our 8 year old starts asking questions why she can't have them and why it mentions sex education on the bag. Not a conversation I wanted on a Friday night, especially not prompted by a bag of bloody sweets!! Its a conversation we'll all have at some point but for a bag of sweets to prompt it is just ludicrous and screams about the moral ineptitude of the company making it as well as the complacency and vacuous morals and blatant ignorance of the company selling them! Why not go the whole hog and have some gratuitous sex acts depicted on the bag instead of some slightly more ambiguous peaches and condoms?! And lets not even get into the Non-binary gender symbols all over the bag that I don't want within 100ft of my kids!

As a reasonable parent you have no idea how much this product has outraged me, and not in the Gen Z "I'm looking to be offended by everything" way, but in a genuine and sincere outrage at the lack of society's moral decency! As a product in itself I have no issue, but as a product that is available to kids and can prompt these kind of conversations! Put these in sex shops and other adult appropriate places, but the sweets aisle of a supermarket is absolutely not the right place for them, If you think otherwise you either don't have kids or aren't fit to raise them in the first place! There are more than enough bad influences on our kids in the world without sweets contributing, so please sort out your marketing and do better for the sake of our kids! And no weak excuses our counter arguments will cut it here!

Is this company full of groomers/paedos??

sex and sweets go hand in hand...do they??? if u want to sell these sweets hey need to be in adult only shops - but im guessing as a company, that limits your target audience therefore screws up your revenue. this is sexualisation of our children. and the fact that this has gone through soooo many hands for the 'sign off' to get to the stores then I really do have to wonder if your employees are mentally ill? WHO ON EARTH THINKS THIS IS ACCEPTABLE?! This is completely vile, and to be honest the entire company and employees need to be on a sex offender registry. You know EXACTLY what you are doing, but the people aint standing for it. get your filth outta the stores and away from our kids. God help you if Jamie and Co are seen in the streets, the people are furious.

Sex Sweets Targetted at Our Innocent Children #Disgusting

Absolutely disgusting how our children are being targeted by disgusting, perverse sweet companies in order to sexualise them. In the UK, we have always taught our young not to take sweets off of strangers & not to bribe kids with sweets & now you have "sex & sweets go hand in hand". The sweets also come in condom shapes, which is absolutely diabolical & unfathomable why innocent children would need to be exposed to such birth control methods as a child!! At the very least they shouldn't be in the sweetie aisle. If stores have to sell such perverse sweets then put them in the family planning aisle where the adult section is up high out of reach of our kids...make no mistake it's a deliberate attempt to sexualise our kids. Be aware & supervise your kids EVERYWHERE. Make formal complaints to all supermarkets stocking these & get them removed altogether or at least from the children's sweet section!

Inappropriate packaging

Collaboration with Netflix and Sex Education - Founders say the sweets are ‘targeted at young adults’ but they know full well children buy them. If this was sold in Ann Summers or adult section next adult products one could understand, however it is not! Either change packaging or remove to another section away from children.

"Sweets and sex’ marketing for children?!

"Sweets and sex. They go hand in hand, obviously. After all, they both aim to make you feel good, right? So we’ve teamed up with the hit Netflix show Sex Education to celebrate sex - the fun times, the awkward times, and the downright dirty times." This is written on the packaging of one of products available from this company, the packaging is marketed for children, the supermarkets and shops that these products are available in have them placed in with the childrens sweets, like haribos, that are accessible to all children, this includes children of 13-14 that are able to purchase these sweets without their mums or dads present…what kind of message does the above insert from the packaging send to a 13-14 year old. These sweets should be made only available to adults and available where only adults can purchase them.

Love your sweets but your marketing…

Love your sweets but your marketing sucks in my opinion! Regardless of the fact you say your target market are older people, you are selling sweets and so kids will want them (unless shops are banned from selling them to kids?) Would you want your underage child to read this on a sweet packet?...."Sweets and sex. They go hand in hand, obviously. After all, they both aim to make you feel good, right? So we’ve teamed up with the hit Netflix show Sex Education to celebrate sex - the fun times, the awkward times, and the downright dirty times." I assure you I am no prude however there is a limit and I feel that has been overstepped by a company who's strapline is "no nasties, all good". Feels like as a society we are on a race to the bottom, which may be a reference to the "downright dirty times" you speak about.
