I've been trying for 5 days now to login to my account. Calling them has not brought any results. Locked out of my account is NOT satisfactory service.

My account was abruptly frozen without any clear reason, even though it had a substantial balance. I tried several ways to contact them but only got help from Gᒪᒪᑭ • ᑌK
They make it far too difficult to move your money out because they want to keep collecting fees. Scam company.
Working with this company has been nothing but a pain. To get my money they have made me go through so many hoops and they have dragged out the process so much that I am having to restart the process.
I have been on the phone for hours with representatives at Capital Group regarding information on rolling over an 401K distribution from a former employer to an existing IRA account. I was transferred numerous times to different departments where each representative gave me different information and also incorrect information per the other representatives I had spoken to. They were no help what so ever-even being rude at times!! I never received an answer to my issue!! Very Disappointed and I finally gave up! I will post this review on all social media sites to make potential customers aware of what to expect when doing business with them!
At first they told me I couldn't take out as much money as I needed. I had to get my boss involved to straighten them out. Then they said there was a problem with my bank and they mailed my money. They said 7-10 business days. There was no problem with my bank, they didn't even try. They were being petty because they were wrong. Now because I have to wait so much longer to receive MY MONEY, I lost out on an apartment. This company is not good for anything. I do NOT recommend unless you can afford to lose your money.
I can’t even get my own money out — it’s honestly a joke.
The whole process is incredibly frustrating. Every time I call, I get a completely different answer or “solution,” and it feels like no one there actually knows what they’re doing. Nothing is digital — everything has to go through the mail — and you can expect it to take at least 3+ weeks just to get anything done with your account. It’s outdated, slow, and honestly exhausting to deal with. I still haven’t got my money yet….
They make you jump through hoops to transfer your own money out and nothing digital is done... Only snail mail forms. My institution only does cash stocks and ETFs as transfer and they refuse to put it into anything but a mutual fund to use my institutions transfer feature so they only want slow mail.... Also no easy way to set up limit sells or buys so it's whatever at market close... they also kept me on hold until the market closed when in was trying to sell my gfafx before it drops again. I have lost money with them since 2021 and they could care less as long as they get their maintenance fees
I almost wasted money and time with these guys, it took two years for me to realize they do not actually pay, they played with my hard earned money for sometime and then it just vanished, if you do not take proactive measures, your money will be gone forever. check photo
Trying to make a catch-up Simple IRA contribution for 2024. Requested on April 1st. They submitted the ACH request incorrectly to the bank, so the transaction was denied. I called them on the 4th and determined that they had identified the account as checking, rather than savings, causing the denial. They said they would correct the issue and resubmit. On the 11th, nothing was showing, so I called, and they placed the blame on the bank. I called the bank and determined that Capital Group never made a change, still identifying the account as checking, resulting in another denial by the bank as the information provided from Capital Group is incorrect. I have been on the phone for an hour trying to fix it and still have no answers. The deadline for the catch-up is the 15th. Today is the 14th and still not done!
They just say that my frustration is understandable, but that mistakes happen. Not with my retirement plan!!!This is not good. Terrible customer service and ability to handle a simple task. For the fees that they charge, you are FAR BETTER OFF AT SCHWAB, or FIDELITY.
Our company uses capital group American funds for our Ira sep. They have extremely high fees out of your money and little return to alter it. The worst retirement account I’ve encountered Fidelity empower Schwab they all beat this one by a landslide
I fell victim to a group of individuals who deceived me into investing in this company, promising assured profits. When I attempted to withdraw my funds, the withdrawal was unexpectedly halted. They asked me deposit more and more money if i want to withdraw my money. It's undeniably infuriating how they derive pleasure from deceiving unsuspecting individuals. Once you entrust your money to them, they attempt to misappropriate it. I initially found the platform intriguing due to the remarkable profits it promised. Unfortunately, I was unaware that their intentions were far from honest. After investing a substantial amount, they flatly declined my request to withdraw my funds. They kept asking me to deposit more and more money in order to withdraw my money. This company is a big scam.
