Helpful post-review service

Update: leaving the below for reference, but wanted to update this review. Within a half hour of reviewing, a new customer service agent reached out to me, and couldn’t have been nicer about the issues. Guess every company has its bad representatives—very happy I got a good one the second time around (thanks Laura!). Will order from them again, maybe just not their Carbon38 label. Good customer service makes a world of difference.

I wanted to love this company, and for my first purchase bought a final sale Carbon38 brand legging/top. I knew I liked the style, I know my size, and I figured at their price point the quality had to be good, right? WRONG. Items arrived, and we’re the worst quality fabric I’ve bought activewear in. I work in fashion design—at that price point there’s no excuse for horrible feeling fabrications. Reached out to customer service about it & wanted to see if it was possible to get store credit because the material was either heinously awful, or defective. I knew store credit might not happen, but figured I’d at least get an apology for the bad quality. Wrong again!!! Instead I got a clearly copied and pasted response about final sale items being final sale. If they had responded allowing me store credit for defective quality, they would’ve had a lifelong customer/fan. If they had apologized, I may have ordered other brands from them (their curation is great). As it is, they’ve lost any chance of me ever reordering or recommending them. Shame.

I wanted to love this place

I wanted to love this place. This is my first review ever. I shop at shopbop, revolve, Zara, bandier, Free people, Anthropologie, and Nordstrom’s. I am a petite tiny woman. I bought two pairs of leggings from them. I have a pint 20 leggings I switch on and off from. I wash all my stuff on delicate and let them air dry!!!!! Anyways the seem came undone from my leggings. Since it was past 30 days they told me to bad so sad. No condolences. I’m sorry but your $100 leggings should last more than 2 months period!!! Either replace them or give me a store credit. I have never come across this situation from a vendor in my life!! And I shop weekly (lol) point is. Terrible policy and customer service. Never will support greedy humans. I sent them the pictures as well. It’s not like I was asking for a refund. Certain products can have a bad lemon. But that should be the companies responsibility to fix that. ✌🏻 Out.

This is by far the worst online…

This is by far the worst online company. I ordered a jacket then it had a big rip in the back of the jacket. I called them then i was told to email the pics. I emailed all the pics back and forth still havent got my money back. Then they said now i can get store credit. I wouldnt want to buy from this company again.

I tried to call you about a problem with your delivery and your product and the agent I spoke with couldn't solve the issue and refused to get me to a supervisor. I have sent in 2 requests by email to get a return call and now you have blocked my phone number!!! so I cannot get any resolution guess all thats left is to write reviews and contact the BBB. The lady who bought the item was really looking forward to buying more items but since she depends on me to do all her online stuff I guess she won't be buying anymore items. She wishes you would have contacted me back.

Incompetent Customer Support

I wrote to Carbon38 about the poor quality leggings I received and how after one wear they seemed to be defective. In response, I was given care instructions and links to other leggings I might prefer. There are not enough eye rolls to adequately express how underwhelming the customer support staff is at Carbon38.

I purchased the ribbed leggings which…

I purchased the ribbed leggings which arrived Feb 11th. I unpackaged them and put them on for the first time on Feb 21st, noticing the stitching was loose. Sometimes that happens so I wasn't too concerned about it until the whole exterior stitching became a never ending nightmare of loose thread :(! The stitching is all fuzzy and they look so bad - as if they are years old vs. a month. I took photos on Feb 21st and put it on my to-do list to send them to customer service/process an exchange, which I sent on March 11th (still within the 30 day return policy). Customer service told me the leggings cannot be returned as they are now worn (the one time I put them on) and that we are outside of their policy date range (30 days, which I was on/within).....considering they arrived damage and I have the time stamps of the photos to show the dates, I did not think this would be such a big deal. Given the price point of the leggings, even if they had been worn (which they were not), less than a month of wear should not have produced the result of what I'm dealing with now. Disappointed in the product and the way this matter was handled!

Don't waste your money

Don't waste your money. Their products are far too small as in the XS would fit an average 7 year old girl not an average XS 21 year old woman. Especially if they are marked "Final Sale" they throw in that category all the manufacturers mistakes so you take the risk and LOSE MONEY as they don't care if it doesn't fit you!!!

I just received my first pair of Carbon…

I just received my first pair of Carbon 38 leggings in black. .I am in Carbon heaven! I had no idea these leggings would be so fabulous. I am 5'10" tall and 160 pounds. I bought a large. They feel like a dream on , so soft and extremely comfortable. I dont want to take them off they are that wonderful
The price is so definitely worth it. I own many pairs of leggings. None can even come close to the comfort of these. I will definitely order again and again in another colors. Made an order from Australia

Made an order from Australia, received the package, opened it to see there where weird patches over the fabric, tried them on and as the fabric is so shiny you can see straight away all these obvious marks. Was so disappointed, emailed customer service straight away, and they just said “we need a photo of the tags on garment”, did that, and no response for 48 hours till I emailed again, asking for a response. Still have not heard from them. The tag was pinned on with a black pin, which seems weird, I think they sent me someone’s returned or faulty product, since I am in Australia and their trying to get away with it. I would never recommend this store to anyone, the customer service and returns are very bad for an international website. Revolve and Asos all do returns automatically and no need to do all these lengthy emails to customer service to get no response from. Not happy at all.

Poor customer service

I placed an order ahead of the time and gave a room for item to arrive on time I needed. I've ordering multiple times from Carbon38 and really enjoy quality of the product they offer. I canNOT tell this about their customer service rep that I had NO pleasure of speaking to. My package was estimated to be delivered 3 days ago. Last tracking event shows that it stuck in the city that hour and half away from me and it's been there for entire week!!! Rep that I talked to shows no concern at all. Just stating that I simply have to wait. I had situations before with other businesses and they would offer me replacement package to be shipped overnight with farther instruction to refuse the first package if it still shows up. Here you got nothing! Just simple WAIT BECAUSE IT'S BEEN DELAYED. Sorry Carbon38 but you lost me as a customer. I don't care for you anymore just like you don't care for me!

Return is difficult

Return is difficult, not true size, no helpful... I was first buyer and never again... Notifications on final sale doesn't show up when you buying... but It show on your confirmation email after you ordered

Super cute leggings!

I love my Takara leggings. They are so cute and I get so many compliments. I had an issue with my leggings after 3 months of light wear that was promptly resolved as soon as I posted my review. I did reach out to the customer service team directly who initially told me they couldn't help. I am going to assume this was a one-off situation and I appreciate Carbon38's prompt response to my problem.

Disappointed by the quality of the…

Disappointed by the quality of the leggings and customer service. I ordered a pair of their highly acclaimed Takara Leggings and the quality just did not match the price point. They arrived with scuff marks and I reached out to customer service. They offered to replace or have me return the product and I chose to return. Unfortunately, USPS lost my return, I showed proof of the lost package claim and have been in constant contact with the same rep. They will give any type of credit, code, or replacement product and that really resonates as to their brand - quality products and great customer service don't seem to be it.

Inexistent customer service

I bought a pair of leggings that didn't fit. I filled a return request online and never received the tag to mail them back. I emailed you and the only respond was to fill this survey of the customer service. I emailed you back twice now, asking again for the label so i can return the leggings. Still nothing.
Very disappointing.

I really like the Crocodile style and…

I really like the Crocodile style and look, and the leggings fit as perfectly as all the other Takara leggings I have, and they do have a nice faux Crocodile look to them, but the pattern on the leggings is more of a print on the material, and not really embossed at all, so it doesn't have a Crocodile texture, it's smooth, and I was hoping there was some Crocodile texture to the material, but they still look great, just not the depth of texture or pattern I had wanted.
