my husband and i paid $1000s to be bit up by bed bugs. when we told them, they did not move our room, they did not offer to dry our clothes, they inspected, just to tell me it was dust. which clearly the pictures i have show it is not dust. they said they changed our sheets yet the same stains were on the bed!!!! the people at guest services are the absolute worst, they’ll do nothing but give you corporate responses (because of course they aren’t going to admit there are bugs) and tell you they’re sorry. the guest services supervisor ALFONSETTA LO PRETE, is probably the most unprofessional and rudest supervisor i’ve ever met. she really needs a refresher on how to talk to guest instead of lying and saying “i don’t believe giving you money will fix the issue”. i’m sorry but did i spent 1000s to get bit up by bugs in my room!?!?!? NOOOO. my husband and i deserve money back for the stress and constant itching i’ve endured. we were also told by a few bartenders that the staff (guest services and supervisors) lie to guest all the time!!!! it’s so sad. these people do not care about your well being or your safety. also, the wifi!!!! we paid for high speed internet that BARELY WORKED!!!!!! they should not be advertising high speed internet if it is in fact not high speed internet. the food is really hit or miss…. but the dining room server we had, GUS, WAS AMAZING!!!!

Canceled for no reason of ours. We were paid up in full.

Our family booked and paid for our annual vacation. Booking went great, money promptly deducted from my account. Took kids out to dinner and surprised them with our cruise plans. Everyone excited and happy. Then…. Few days later get an email they cancelled our cruise because there system was wrong and price for room was inaccurate. Didn’t even offer to help find another room or help offer a reasonable discount on already booked room just flat out cancelled! Destroyng our vacation and stealing our kids happiness. Terrible terrible business .

Booked this cruise almost a year ago

Booked this cruise almost a year ago, and when the day came to make the final payment, I had to call when the cruise wasnt showing in the app.. After calling they claimed the cruise was due to have been paid two days before.. I know it was the day I called, but they claimed it was two days prior, but they would gladly allow me to reactivate the cruise, for approx 2500 more... And no refund for the deposit.. No phone call or email when the payment date came... Terrible customer service, no one cared, and no one would help. Ive been on a lot of Carnival cruises, but never again.

Absolutely infuriated with Carnival…

Absolutely infuriated with Carnival right now! We have had our cruise booked and FULLY paid for since November 15, 2025, along with FLIGHT& HOTEL. We are supposed to board THIS Sunday May 3, 2026. We just get contacted TODAY to tell us they OVERBOOKED the cruise and will not be allowing us to board. We selected a room so we HAD A ROOM not waiting to be assigned. This is BEYOND UNACCEPTABLE!!!! How do you SALE me a ROOM/Cabin in November that I pay FULLY for and then turn around and tell me FIVE DAYS before boarding that you RE BOOKED my cabin to someone else and are now over booked and can't allow me to board!?!?!?!?! Incredibly horrible customer service and treatment!!!!!

Carnival Encounter Brisbane to Cairns…

Carnival Encounter Brisbane to Cairns return. I'll start with the positives. The majority of the staff, the food mostly good and the rooms were great. The shower although small was powerful and the bed extremely comfortable. My issues were the smell of sewer first noticed two days into the cruise at the rear decks. People were going outside covering their noses. It was disgusting. Secondly I was unable to get my daughter a drink at the bar unless she came with me. She has a disability and also a very painful back so walking and carrying a drink back to her seat is difficult. She also had a child to supervise. She was insight of the bar to wave at bar staff when I ordered her drinks but I was refused her drink. There were more security staff than waiters so managing to find one to get her a drink despite pointing out where she was sitting and requesting assistance on getting her drinks fell on deaf ears. On barman was extremely rude when I didn't understand his English. He was so intimidating I refused to go to that bar again and set my partner. No issues with him getting me a drink though. Different bars charged different prices for the same drinks. On the last day at sea we woke to find much of the outdoor seating had been stored away. Lounging at the sunset bar at 3pm that day our longest were taken from around us and the bar closed at 3.15pm when the app stated it closed at 4pm. On the rainy days at sea (it can happen) there was no room in any of the indoor entertainment areas. The newly installed slides didnt work as they should. The green shoot would allow you to get to the bottom at a slow pace but the blue slide had you stuck on the way down the shoot in several places. This happened no matter what you were wearing or in what position you put yourself in. This lead to long queues on high spiral stairs which I felt unsafe do be kept waiting on. We purchased the drink package for my grandson but were extremely disappointed that all he could get at the bars were cans of pop (he's not allowed fizzy drinks). He wasn't even allowed a bottle of water on his package. This package is a con. Most of the staff have a long and tough job on the cruise but they are pleasant and extremely helpful . My other complaint is that I booked the cruise back in Sept 25 and paid a deposit. This was taken out of my bank and I received a confirmation email but nothing else. She I went to pay the balance in Jan 26 my booking reference wasn't recognised and no booking found. I emailed Carnival numerous times but received no reply. I booked again and paid in full to avoid the same issue. No one on the ship could help with my lost deposit. Having cruised from Brisbane in Dev 24 with Royal Caribbean I will always chose them in the future. Lots of waiting staff to help my daughter get her drinks and no overbearing smell of sewage.

My husband and I had an amazing time

My husband and I had an amazing time. We did a 6 night cruise to the Caribbean. The ship Carnival Magic was very clean and the Stateroom Attendant Ni was absolutely the best. The only experience that wasn’t pleasant was the rain and luggage getting wet to the point my top layer of clothes were damp and my Coach sandals being destroyed because the staff handling the bags.

This was mine and my Families first time ever going on a cruise an I would have to say sadly it was not At all what we expected! Adults were so drunk they could even stand straight. An ya I no it’s supposed to be fun for everyone but it’s gets outta hand when my 3 year old is standing enjoying the show before our ship even left Long Beach to go to Cabo and I have a grown ass woman trip my kid and then fall on top of him resulting in him hitting his head on the floor. An it was right by the DJ and no one bothered to come make sure he was okay?!
Another issue we had was a massive flood in one of our rooms and were given a $50 gift certificate for some sushi place which costs over $100 a person which is fine but my family doesn’t eat seafood! I don’t recommend this cruise line if you have little littles cause there is a lot of Drinking and it gets outta hand. Also the kids constantly have to be quiet and no running in the halls (which I agree if it’s late) but how do you stop a 3 yr old from running?!? It’s not easy.

But on a good note one of the Staff his name was Erik I believe that’s how you spell it. But he was on the odd size 8200 he was absolutely amazing and whenever we needed something he was right there to help us with whatever we needed.

I’m sharing my experience so others are aware before booking with Carnival.
I sailed on February 19, 2026, and unfortunately had a very upsetting experience. While my husband and I were in our cabin undressed, a crew member entered without proper notice. There was no visible sign or warning about balcony or room servicing, and it left me feeling extremely violated and uncomfortable.
I reached out to Carnival multiple times to report this and give them an opportunity to address the situation, but I received no response. That lack of accountability made the situation even worse.
A cruise should feel safe, private, and relaxing—this experience was the opposite. Because of this incident and the lack of follow-up, this was my first and last time cruising with Carnival.
I hope the company takes situations like this more seriously in the future and improves both communication and guest privacy.

I was on carnival pride January…

I was on carnival pride January 25th-February 1st on February 19th I called about my refund that they owed us and I talked to a Hayden Ray and he sent me an email of my confirmation number and when I was expecting my free refund was by March 31 and I did not receive it I call back they prolong dad said that it’s gonna take X amount of days those days came and went and I still haven’t received it. The booking number for that cruise that I went on was W9WD39.

I have never had an issue with Carnival…

I have never had an issue with Carnival Cruise line.Their attendants that clean the rooms were wonderful Putu was our attendant and I couldn't be more pleased. All around everyone has been so nice. I didn't meet a stranger on board. It was easy to get checked in with luggage and boarding passes. I have been so impressed with my travels with them I will continue to use Carnival Cruise line.I am not to worried about status like everyone else.i just want to enjoy my time away even if it leaves me just relaxing in my room and away from the work place.

Blocked View

I’m writing this review not as a passenger but staying at a resort in Cabo San Lucas. The cruise ship pulled so far up it completely blocked the entire view of arch rock! We pay thousands of dollars to come here and to look at cruise ship! We’ve been coming here for years and they never come in this close. DO BETTER CARNIVAL!!!

AS MUCH AS THEY SAY THEY CARE FOR VETERANS AND THEIR SPOUSES, THEY DO NOT CARE SBOUT MY WIFE HESLTH NEDD, EVEN AFTER WE GOT THEM THE PCP LETTER IN REGARDS TO HER CONDITION AND WHY SHE NEED TO TAKE THE ELECTROLYTE/PROTEIN BOTTLES FOR EVERY TRIP, REGARDLES OF THEIR RULES. WHY ASK FIR A DOCTORS KETTER, IF YOU SRE NOT TO HONOR THAT? DO THEY THINK THEY KNOW MORE THAN A DOCTOR, WITHOUT A MEDICAL OR NURSE DEGREE? I WONDER IF MRS. DUGFY, PRESIDENT IF OPERATIINS OR THE CEO OF CARNIVSL KNOW HOW GUESS SERVICES TREAT THE CUSTOMERS. MY WIFE IS PLSTINUM AND I AM GOLD, SO WE HAD TRAVEL A LOT WITH THEM AND WE NEVER HAD ISSUES BEFORE WITH THIS PROTEIN BOTTLES AND THEY SHOULD NOT BLAME EVERYONE, FOR WHAT OTHER PEOPLE DO, TAMPERING WITH CONTAINERS, TO BRING ALCOHOL IN. OURS IS S MEDICAL REASON AND THE CHOICES FOR SUBSTITUDE OF MY WIFE BOTTLES FOR POWDER FORM, IS NOT SOMETHING THST SHE LIKE. BECSUSE OF THE TASTE AND TGAT IS WHY SHE HAD BEEN USING THOSE PROTEIN/ ELECTROLYTES 2,O. SHE GOT 2 BSRIATRIC SURGERIES AND SN STOMSCH THE SIZE OF A QUARTER, BESIDES BEING HYPOGKYCEMIC AND BY TRIAL AN ERROR SINCE 2013, WE FINALLY GOT SOMETHING THST DO WORK FOR HER, SINCE SHE IS NOT A REGULAR NORMAL HEALTHY HUMAN, THAT CAN CHANGE DIET AT WILL, TO FIT SOMEONE RULES. WHAT ABOUT THE AMERICAN AND DISABILITY ACT AND DISCRIMINATION OF DISABLE PEOPLE??

Disappointed and Disgusted

I only rated one star because zero was not an option. I have taken three Carnival cruises that have been great, and that is the reason we booked a fourth one on the day we disembarked on the last one. My husband and I encountered an emergency and couldn't board the ship. We called and talked to three different people asking if we can meet the ship at the first port since the cruise was seven days. We were told no because the only emergency they entertain is if there are airline issues. Now, I totally understand safety protocols and cautions, but we were able to provide "proof" of our emergency and undergo any safety requirements necessary. Not once did we ask for a refund; we just wanted ro get on the ship. The couple we were cruising with talked to someone in guest services who said it was possible and that all we had to do is call. I did. Got the same person who reminded me she just told me that couldn't happen...even after I told her what the guest services representative on the ship shared. It is so disappointing to look forward to a trip for over a year and not be able to enjoy at least some of it. We will not be cruising with Carnival again and will share this experience with others.

Few times. First time in a long time with carnival. Food horrible. Can’t even explain how bad, but hospital food was better. Drink package mus wait ten mi ties for another drink, 15 drinks per day. I did t use it all either way. Can’t get a water and a coke at the same time with your drink package, must wait ten minutes. Staff is rude when it come to food and drinks. I did use a couple of times where staff was really nice. Overall 1 out of 5 for staff. At the end of the day the saying goes you pay for what you get. Worst cruise ever been on. Marsigras never again

What a ride guys let me tell yall we bought the protection plan through carnival cruise line,well I know they can’t be American owned we had to cancel over my son a US MARINE that can’t leave his post. Well that is not and excuse to not get your money back for the cruise what is this cruise line thinking if this isn’t and excuse I tell you what I hope this company can sleep good at night. Y’all are a sorry company never will I ever think about booking with yall thanks for ruining what could have been a good time one day P.S take our money and put in a pot for a drawing way to take care of your customers.

The Vacation insurance that is offered…

The Vacation insurance that is offered is not good! No matter the excuse for not boarding you will not get your money back. Carnival on the other hand will not refund or credit any future Cruise. Never again! Time to try other Cruise Lines for future Vacations.

I’m about to go on the carnival Mardi…

I’m about to go on the carnival Mardi Gras on Saturday, March 28th. I’m irritated before I even get on the cruise. The app is not user friendly and because I booked through a travel agent, absolutely no one from Carnival will help me. They have booked our two different rooms for dining at two separate times. They have been calling me for the last two days and when I call them, no one seems to know why Carnival has called me. No help from Jason in customer service or Tiffany in resolutions. They would not help me at all! Carnival has the absolute worst customer service I have ever dealt with in my life. I worked in the hospitality industry with Promus Hotels that owned Embassy, Hampton etc. we would have never treated a customer in the way Jason and Tiffany with resolutions have treated me. Warning to future cruisers! If you want great service, look to other cruise lines. I have travelled on Celebration, Sunshine, Magic and another I can’t remember. I have never been treated so poorly! Trying to have a good attitude about the cruise we are taking this Saturday. We have spent over $8,000 on it. Lana Harrelson

Staff was great. Customer services were poor.

Most of the staff was very courteous, especially our room attendant, he was probably my favorite, very sweet guy. My only complaints would be on cruise day they closed down 2 of the pools to clean them and the buffet closed early, so for like, 4 hours, everybody had to stand in line on the Lido deck for the hamburger, Pizza, etc to get food because nothing else was available. I think on the last day they should have at least a small buffet available all day long so people don't have to fight for food.That was very difficult. I don't have plans anytime soon to go on carnival cruise I'd rather spend my money and go on a better cruise line.

Impossible to read the charges made to your account

I went on a cruise starting on February 22. I have questions about my invoice, which may or may not be correct. However, the entries simply say "spa carnival" so you cannot tell what the charge is for. I asked for this information while I was on board. No one could answer. I called Carnival immediately after I got off the cruise. No answer. Eventually I was told I would receive a call back. Still waiting Carnival.
