I wanted to say a huge thank you to Carl Ashley at Cambridge & Counties Bank for his support in getting a particularly challenging holiday BTL investment property case over the line. As the broker, I had already approached several lenders who were either unsure or not confident in progressing the deal.

Carl, who is my main point of contact, took the time to properly understand the case and, together with Abigail worked closely with me to find a way forward. We hit a few bumps along the way, but their proactive approach, clear communication, and consistently quick response times made a real difference and ultimately helped us achieve completion.

A highly experienced and solution‑focused team, I’m looking forward to placing more business with them in the near future!

Been with this bank for a few years…

Been with this bank for a few years through my company, but have to say recently they have been poor. Interest rates on savings products are pretty good, but to wait over 2 weeks for a simple savings account to be opened (with all of the corresponding loss of interest) is simply not good enough. They clearly have very manually intensive processes and have bad resource management planning if their delays are like this. Need to do better

To cap it all off they then decided to review this as a complaint and found (surprise, surprise) that taking over two weeks to do what many institutions do instantaneously was absolutely splendid and they saw no issue at all.

Far too slow to process applications…

Far too slow to process applications for business bonds from existing customers. Anyone who runs a business knows retaining loyal customers is easier and cheaper than new customers, but C&C are happy to lose existing customers to other banks with better onboarding processes.

I recently completed Commercial Re-Mortgsge

I recently completed a trading business re-mortgage with Cambridge and Counties Bank, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. The transaction was delivered in record time, with clear communication and a highly professional approach throughout.

I would particularly like to recognise the outstanding support provided by Carl Ashley and Joanne Morton. Their responsiveness, expertise, and commitment to progressing the case efficiently made a significant difference and ensured a smooth completion.

Working with C&C was a real breath of fresh air. Carl Ashley supported us on a particularly complex transaction and was outstanding from start to finish.

He was proactive, solution-driven, and always available when we needed clarity or direction. Rather than just processing the deal, Carl genuinely took ownership and worked hard to keep everything moving forward.

Freehold pub purchase

Arnold Commercial Finance Ltd recently acted for a group of businesses in the leisure sector acquiring the freehold of a public house previously rented. Lewis Ashford of Cambridge & Counties Bank had an excellent knowledge of the sector and worked hard towards a successful completion. The lender's solicitors were also impressive.

Professional Bank who supported us

We are in the hospitality industry but wanted to buy the freehold of a leased pub we were already operating. Our High Street Bank said no instantly ....they were not supporting our sector currently even though they had plenty of security.
Lewis Ashford a Business Development Manager at C & C with experience of operating in our sector immediately saw the opportunity and supported us through our application. He is articulate, enthusiastic and responsive. A very impressive individual indeed. After this experience we would not hesitate to recommend C & C as a lender and we got the keys to the freehold thanks to Lewis. Thanks to all involved.

Just so so slow

Just so so slow , must be deliberately slow, in processing new accounts . I regret choosing them and will exit as soon as I can . Money left either goodness knows where or in a zero interest account for days. Very stressful .

Efficient, experienced and friendly

As a new customer our Village Hall opened a Fixed Rate Bond 12 months ago and it could not have been easier.
The several members of staff I dealt with were extremely helpful and friendly.
And the interest rate was pretty good too.
We have just opened a 6 month Bond and the excellent Nicky kindly tracked down our cheque and ensured that everything was operational without delay.
There is clearly an excellent team attitude at Cambridge & Counties which reflects in a very positive customer experience.

Applied for a business savings account with them on Monday, 1 week have passed, no communication from their side.

Not sure if they need any new client at this moment.

Great application process and customer service

I applied for a business 6-month fixed rate bond with CC Bank. The whole process has been straightforward and customer service has been professional, prompt, polite, pleasant and friendly. Both Nicky and Mitesh sorted the queries both they and I had in the application and transaction phases. Nicky was lovely and provided a quick and easy fix to a potentially stressful situation. This level of customer service is why I am really pleased with my decision to go with CC Bank.

Have just opened a new business fixed…

Have just opened a new business fixed rate account with them. I found them very helpful on the telephone the couple of times I needed to call them. It was very easy to open this new account online.

Speaking to a Helpful, Pleasant Human was Invaluable!

When my savings bond approached maturity I had to give instructions as to next steps. This included changing the nominated bank account to which payments would be made. Although the interactive update form wasn't too bad, it was long winded & a bit of a faff. So I tried calling & was answered quickly, & helped by a pleasant, polite & efficient advisor. I was easily able to update a number of pieces of information. What a pleasant change. i wish more companies would grasp the value of real human interaction.
