Chadwicks of Boston Avis 

I have been a customer for about 8 years - loved Chadwicks! After Covid when the new catalog came out, they could not find my name or customer #, but I ordered several items. The cost increased (I have no problem paying if quality is good), shipping charges increased and some Covid charge was added. Although I lost 6 pounds, the size I usually order is no longer correct. What a fiasco to return the items and get now a LARGER size. Representatives spent Too much time sales pitching to order more items and to join a club - let’s just find my size! Finally got the size and guess what- too BIG. Not sending back as i feel the return cost is unreasonable! The quality is not as good as it was last year. I put my hands in the back pockets and there is excess untrimmed seam. Just REALLY DISAPPOINTED!! I think I’m done with Chadwicks now. I’m so sad, I feel like I’m putting to rest a good friend. Please IMPROVE your quality or go out of business altogether!

Beware, don't buy from Chadwicks I have been buying from Chadwicks for approx. 15 years and have always been happy with the quality and style. Chadwicks advertises that they are back better than ever which is a lie. I bought pink corduroy pants even though the company drastically increased its prices, charges a $1 Covid surcharge (what the heck is that?) and on top of that charges excessive shipping. A $44.99 item ended up costing $61.54. I was willing to put up with all that just because I really liked the pants (I haven't received them at the time of this review). I won't buy again from them because during checkout, an offer to become a VIP Club popped up. Thinking it was an invitation to receive offers, I clicked on yes and to my huge unpleasant surprise, I had been tricked into a $14.95 per month membership (with a trial period) where I can buy from other companies with a minuscule cash back percentage and $10 off shipping rebates or free shipping - I am sure with lots of strings attached!. And anyway I can buy directly from these companies (like Target where I can buy online anyway without having to pay any fees and I can pick up my wares at any of their stores.) Has Chadwicks sunk so low that now they need to trick customers into needless and deceptive memberships? Because they surely do not tell customers upfront what this VIP membership is about. I'm actually thinking about filing a deceptive trade practices claim with the Attorney General of Texas.

I confirmed my return order to Chadwick of Boston was received for a gift and I had a credit. If course, no one was available earlier this year due to Covid. Its Christmas time, so of course they are available to take orders. I'm being told they purchased the magazine but cannot honor my credit nor find it in the system. I first was told nothing could be done. After asserting myself, I was sent to MA. The person said all I could do is call BBB.
Do not purchase from this company. I've been a customer since the early 90s.
Let's go to court. I guarantee my records of every purchase ever made will be located.

Pros: I've been buying at Chadwick's for years. They have a good variety of tall sizes & the quality is usually very good. Cons: $20 for shipping plus $1 added for Covid??!! WTH? Also charged me tax in a state where clothing is not taxed. Bottom line: Shop with care. A 10% off coupon isn't really worth it when you add the outrageously high shipping & added Covid BS fee. LandsEnd is a better value in this area. Wait for a good sale from Chadwicks now. It's sad how they've gone down hill since bankruptcy.

Occasionally they get it right, but these people are ALL using Covid-19 as an EXCUSE for bad business/customer service practices. Backordered with NO date response. STAY AWAY!

Chadwicks has the absolute WORST customer service i have ever dealt with. They talk over you. They are the rudest customer service representative. Most of them you cannot even understand. Took me 30 minutes being transferred 3 times before I got to the correct representative then had to wait again to speak with a manager. I will never to business again with this company.

Chadwick of Boston closed but they left my charge account open on a credit report lowering my credit score.

There isn't anyone to talk to about this......

Now what??

I love Chadwicks of Boston. Please come back. I miss the clothes and the excellent service!

Unfortunately Chadawicks of Boston, is part of a group of thieves, that include Travel Smith, Chasing Fireflies, Metro Style and Territory Ahead, they and the group Black Stone took us all, the received merchandise solid it a sent the money back to Hong Kong, used lawyers to shield them, and stole everything, protected by law., How is this possible? big business taking everything.
Think about this next time, the reality is that big corporation don't care about you or me, they only care about your money, and what we think about them, you may think I am just making this up, but I have proof of their theft.

Chadwicks is the only clothing that fits me every time. I have been known to order pants, pack them and go on a trip, never having tried them on. I knew they would fit and they always did. I am heartbroken at the idea of no more perfect fit for me. There is no other that I trust like Chadwicks. Please come back!!!

No one makes the quality and style of classical cardigan sweaters like Chadwicks at a great price! I'm truly depressed. Please post if Chadwicks will come back? None of the other suggestions of similar companies hold a candle. They were great fit! Especially the smaller sizes.

Absolutely LOVE Chadwick's of Boston!!. The ONLY place (other than MetroStyle) that I have ever been able to find trousers for tall, thin women. Chadwick's trousers fit me perfectly. Really like the blouses, skirts, sweaters and some of the dresses, and have purchased all in years past. Additionally, in the past year, I ordered three business suits from Chadwicks and MetroStyle. They fit like they were tailored just for me. Please come back!!
I'm pretty sure my legs aren't going to get shorter. I need that 34"-35" inseam!

Don't know how I will survive without Chadwick's. Have ordered my clothes from them for years and have always loved them. Good quality and fair prices. Hope they are back soon!

I have ordered from Chadwick's in the past. Wondered why I nit received catalogs. Now I think I understand why. Too bad for those of us who have had who have had success with orders .

No return allowed on a non sale item. If they come back from taking their break, I'll never shop with them again.

I love this company, is there anyone that can answer these questions on here? What happened to them and will they be back ? Can we at least have a post with more information?

I Placed an order Dec 13th 2019 With this wonderful sale i thought. Here it is Jan 28th and i have yet to receive my clothing. I call all the 800 numbers and no response no actual live person .. Am i out of my money? who do i write or contact to get a refund? When they relaunch in the fall ( allegedly) will i receive my clothing then? what is going on ? I have been ordering from Chadwick since 2000 this is not what i am used too.

No one does petite sizes as well. This is a major loss for me.

I have ordered from Chadwicks and Metrostyle from the very beginning (1983). I would love to KEEP ordering from these two catalogs! They both have great clothing and the best quality, PLEASE bring them back!!
