Review for Maisie.Spooner

Peter Drucker coined the phrase “Culture eats strategy for breakfast" and it is important to remember that when you have a company that is in desperate need of a change in culture, reflected by its dysfunctional behaviour, the only hope for change lies in the hands of individual employees, as senior management, who approve strategy are often unaware of what is happening at the client interface. Talented client-facing employees, with high levels of emotional intelligence are extremely valuable assets and senior management needs to recognise their importance and elevate them into a position where they can affect and change the culture of those around them, rather than allow line managers to feel threatened and hide them.

Today, it was my pleasure to make contact with such an employee of Chancellors South East Property Management called Maisie Spooner. Ms. Spooner is potentially a valuable change agent, whom should not only be commended for her handling of my contact this morning, her prompt action and follow-up, but also, whom should be seen as a ‘high potential’.

It is my recommendation that Ms. Spooner receives training in Change Management and be given the full support by her senior management to provide a report on what needs to change at Chancellors. I firmly believe that investing in key performers, such as Ms. Spooner, will reap dividends for Chancellors, so that the company can learn how to change its culture and become a leader within its industry.

I contacted Chancellors Reading with a view of acquiring a residential accommodation. I was not in the UK at the time. I spoke with Mary B who displayed excellent professionalism and was very polite and efficient. Responses were very prompt and she was very thorough and displayed excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
I will definitely recommend this Estate Agency to friends and family.

What stood out most was her dedication. she even offered to take us in her car to the viewing, which made everything much easier and more comfortable. She was very organised and able to provide full details of the property and address all of my questions. I couldn’t be more pleased with the good service provided by the Chancellors property management team. Their responsiveness and professionalism are good. Every time I’ve had a question or encountered a minor issue, they’ve responded quickly and resolved it efficiently—often within the same day.

It’s incredibly reassuring to know that any concern, big or small, is taken seriously and handled with such care and urgency. This level of service has made living here a stress-free and positive experience.

Georgia was very professional and knowledgeable. She had answered all the questions regarding properties we were viewing and was very helpful with directions.

Very poor communication and minimal effort to support the buyer. I expected more communication about the outcome of offers, even if the estate agent had not heard they could at least have indicated they were trying to contact the seller. Seemingly a total lack of interest in the customer buying, and let’s face it with no buyers people cannot sell!

Been with Chancellor both let and property management for 7 years. It’s been good all along then time to have new tenant - not sure how “Credit Check” works!! We have got undesirable tenant on payments and on looking after property (to be precise “filthy”).

At first Agent seems to be on Tenant side and impolite (to me the Landlady) until I remind them - now getting better. Eventually I was assigned to Fiona and Dana who are very polite and helpful. They are trying to solve the issue with Tenant’s payment with calm manner.

Still with my experience I think “service” could have been better - more personal with professional advise opposed to “a messenger”- compared to Winkworth, David Tates, or Foxton!!

However, with Fiona and Adam who are recent deal with great effort - I decided to give Chancellors one more chance.

Be careful with Zero Deposit scheme fees discretely deducted from your rent!! Insist to get Deposit!!

So yes, I would recommend and use the Estate Agency again.

I would have given a zero star if possible.
The team at Reading/Woodley/Bracknell has no clue what they should be doing.
Everytime you ask for update they come with same lame excuse (someone or the other on annual leave for past 3 week and they don’t know when they will be back in office to work on your transaction).
Even if you give them some information they don’t know what to do with it- simply keep buying more and more time because someone is always on annual leave.

Never engage in buying/selling your property through them- it will never go through.

Ella was very lovely to relate with , she made my viewing appointment seamless and gave a very detailed answer to all questions asked. I would highly recommend.

The lady that showed us around was punctual, polite and helpful

I should of written this review a long time ago my Daughter was progressing through a purchase and was not informed of subsidence issues by the estate agents until the disclosure came through these details where not made clear to her would not recommend this estate agents to me these where hidden details and should have been made clear from the beginning.

Daniel has been an absolute pleasure to work with throughout my flat rental process. He's been incredibly helpful and responsive, addressing my queries with remarkable efficiency. Beyond his promptness, Daniel's friendly and approachable demeanour made the entire experience significantly less stressful.
