We had a wonderful one day tour of the Terracotta Army, organised through China Highlights/ China Travel. Jenny was an amazing guide, full of really clear information and history and her passion for the subject made it all the more interesting. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she ensured our day was utterly smooth running and enjoyable.

We booked our trip with Vanessa Zheng.
Her communication and design of the holiday, to our particular and many requirements, was impeccable, and nothing was an issue to Vanessa, who tailored our every need and made my wife's birthday extra special. During our experiences in Beijing, Xi'an, Chengdu, Chongqing, Yangtze River cruise aboard the Century Glory, Yichang and finally, Shanghai. Supported by an excellent and hugely helpful, experienced and knowledgeable team of guides, Mark (Beijing), Ken (Xi'an), Bella (Chengdu), Jenny (Chongqing), Linda (Yangtze Cruise) and Martin (Shanghai), who assisted us to have a truly amazing holiday and helped us to understand the struggle we would have had without the assistance of such great and dedicated support. Had a great time over three days, with knowledgeable and experienced guides. My tours included site-seeing and lunch in Shanghai: Bund, Yuyuan Garden, French Concession, Shanghai Tower, (Day 1); Zhujiajiao Water Town with Tea House, and Jade Buddha Temple (Day 2); and Suzhou: Humble Administrators Garden, Rickshaw Ride, Pingjiang Street, and Tiger Hill (Day 3). All were very enjoyable tours and I learnt a lot from my wonderful guides, Rachel and Zhang.

We had a pleasant and smooth trip from 18 May 2024 to 24 May 2024 at Taiyuan and Wutaishan. This had to thank the arrangements done by the tour agency and our professional tour guide, 刘佩瑶. Our tour guide ensured our stays were comfortable and our journey accordingly to our paces. Her explanations had enriched us in appreciating Buddhism and the places we visited. 刘佩瑶真牛！

We have just returned from an amazing journey around China which was made easier by booking trains & our Yangtze River cruise with the wonderful Vivi Chen at China Highlights.

My husband and I had the privilege of working with Annie and Vivi. As newbies to booking trains in PRC, we messed up with double bookings, cancelled flights that led to trains not being met with rescheduling of trains and the Li River Cruise. Not only did they come through with flying colors but went above and beyond providing alternative schedules of trains and variations of the cruise but processing the necessary refunds for our mistakes which we were grateful and thankful. I will definitely book with them again.

it was a very nice trip. members of the staff were kind and tour guide well prepared. ship is beautiful and clean and food is delicious. Might be worth it to have more free time to explore between the guided tours.

Through Vanessa Zheng, we booked a seven-night river cruise on the luxury Yangzi Explorer. Originally the cruise was booked for 2019, but then needed to be rebooked because of COVID and then again two more times to accommodate cancer treatments. Without the efforts of Vanessa we would have not been able to handle this.

We highly recommend the Yangzi Explorer, which is by far the best small ship on the Yangxi River.

As pre-arranged, taxi driver was waiting for me on time with a board showing my name. Clean electric car took me seamlessly on my journey. No complaints. All worked very well & arrived in time for my next flight. Thank you

Vanessa Zheng was very timely in her responses and flexible in making changes that fit our needs . her choice of hotels, local guides and additional activities in between the tourist stops were excellent and exactly what we wanted to do . We have had tours planned in our many prior travels but none with such personalized attention and flexibility. China is a vast country with so many things to see and do and all we had to do was sit back and enjoy our holiday becasue every detail was taken care of . Our 4-day Guilin-Yangshuo-Longsheng trip in March 2024 organized by Ms. Vanessa Zheng of China Travel was wonderful. Vanessa is very professional, timely in her responses and has been very patient and flexible with us when we made multiple changes to our itinerary. It has been a pleasure to work with her in planning the trip.

Our tour guide, Jay, accompanied us (we are a group of 3 people) from the beginning till the end. Traveling around China can be challenging and confusing, especially if one can’t speak the language. Jay made everything smooth and easy. He picked up our pre-booked boat/other excursions tickets so we were able to avoid all the long lines and chaos. He is knowledgeable of the places we visited, courteous, fun to travel with and well-versed in Chinese classics. The cultural comments Jay added made our trip not only fun but also educational. Most important tip for visitors: a good local guide is indispensable and made all the differences.

Very helpful and friendly service. The staff is very quick to reply to email and provide information both before and after a reservation/booking. The actual tour I took with one of their guides while in China was great as well, the guide was very friendly and knowledgeable and spoke freely without any scripting and was able to answer all my additional questions without any problems. The tour guide, Tom, was also very flexible for last minute changes and spoke quite good English as well.

Our family tour with China Travel was absolutely wonderful. The China highlights of Dali was planned with the great care and help from Vanessa, and the actual tour guide, Daisy, who was knowledgeable, flexible, helpful, and provided an excellent, memorable experience for my family. We toured several locations and I especially liked the pace of Old Town Dali, the scenic view of Erhai Lake, and the history of the Three Pagodas, and so much more. I have been on many tours and this one was the best, exactly what we were looking for, including the pace, the food, the attention to details, care and professionalism. Everything was positively great! Highly recommended!
