This is probably the worst legal scammers you can ever use. The hidden fees. Excessive charges. Once your money is in, you are already in debt to them. Maintainance fee, card fee, transaction decline fee, withdrawal fee, transaction fee, card maintainance fee, i wonder if the list ever stops. I wish i could provide screenshots, these people killed me. Please somebody help me with an alternative, going back is like jumping into a 500°F frying pan.

Zero, I mean, zero customer service. Had a outage for almost a day and all they did was make a post 15 hours after without replying to messages, emails or DM. Zero accountability.

If I could sue them, I would.

These guys took almost 20$ from me in the name of maintenance and put me in debt.😭😭😭
I had collected money from a client for a job but as I put the money into chippercash, deducted all the money in the name of investment account and card maintenance which were never on the app the last time I used it over half a year back.
I had to source fund to complete the job for the customer using another app.
Please, don't ever use this app. I hope Google play and other stores remove this scam app from their stores soonest.

They will deduct money for services you didn't request for. I'm a victim, run for your life.

Lots of hidden fees, misleading transaction costs unknown to customers. for example I tried paying for a product online and the transaction failed through out the process. I decided to try another away of making payment. It costs 0.00 naira to fund a naira card, but they take % to withdraw from the naira card to your own account you transferred from. That is just daylight robbery..... I used to be a fan of their service, but they are just scammers in a fancy office and should be reported to the authorities for their misleading practices.

I never thought I’d have to post this, but I feel scammed by Chipper Cash.

They deducted ₦5,000 from my account for something I didn’t authorize, and till now I haven’t gotten any clear explanation or refund.

What hurts more is — I was saving that money to promote my content on TikTok and grow my online hustle. Every naira counts for me right now, and this just crushed part of my plan.

I’ve reached out to support, but they keep giving me vague responses or none at all. If you’re reading this and still using Chipper, be very careful. Don’t let what happened to me happen to you.

@ChipperCashApp — please do better. Fix this. People are trusting your platform with their hard-earned money. Don’t break that trust.

I wish I could give less than 1 star THIEVESSSS!!!! These people are thieves, the only thing left for them is to take guns and actually point it to you, FRAUDSTERS and THIEVES the whole lot of them, I’m deleting my account. Save yourself the heartburn and find better apps, move to grey or something better these people are THIEVESS!!! I’ve used the app for three years and I have lost soo much money. Thieves!

My experience with Chipper Cash has been nightmarish. For weeks, I've been trying to trace a missing $8 Upwork refund with zero resolution. Despite providing all required documentation including transaction IDs and invoices, they've failed to properly investigate or provide transaction statements.

Their customer service is truly appalling:
• Their "2-hour response time" claim is blatantly false - I've consistently waited much longer
• They only send notifications through their glitchy, crash-prone app despite promising email notifications
• They've closed my support ticket TWICE before I could even respond
• I've given them multiple chances to resolve this simple issue, even contacting them directly before posting this review, but received another automated response and then silence for over 24 hours.

This $8 represents MY hard-earned money. Their treatment demonstrates complete contempt for customers. I'm sharing this experience to prevent others from facing similar frustration.

If zero stars were possible, that's what they deserve. Find a more reliable financial service that actually values its customers.

They are thieves. Their fees are outrageous and they take your money saying they used it to pay for an overdue, when you clearly didn’t borrow any money.

They are genuine but their exchange rate is on the high and, will finish your card deposits for monthly charges.

Anything you want to pay for using chipper cash, just know that you will pay double as they will use transaction fee, to take all of your money. God I don't think i would be using their service again. I am the one who went and look for trouble. No transaction is inside the app is without charge, and their UI design is trash

Nice banking system with fast response when having issue with account

Countless number of times chipper cash has made it obvious that their customer care is non existent. The rates are unbelievable high, but bearable as they support 3D secure payments and their cards are often reliable… but get an issue that needs customer support, e.g a refund processed to you. Then you become absolutely frustrated… chipper cash, please process my refund request as your customer support has not responded to me in a week, let me delete my card and be done with this platform for good

hi, just want to register my displeasure and to tell you that I'm of your services for good. How can I fund my virtual dollar account for a purpose of transaction just for me to wake up this morning and found an empty card that the 4 dollars had been used for unpaid maintenance, maintenance of what? that's not fair at all. you've no idea of how I got this money and for what purpose is meant for. I will hurriedly inform my family and friends that I encourage not to use your services so that they won't fall victims of this daylight robbery and undiluted scam. I'm out for good.

Chippers. You are awaiting update from the receiving bank ( My Bank ) I have placed a call to my bank several times and they confirmed to me that there is no transaction settlement on their side. Even the session ID your employees ( Eyie, Chris ) gave me was a fake session ID as my bank ( First Bank Nigeria PLC ) couldn’t find any transaction on it. If I don’t get my money from chipper’s in less than 48 hours. There will be a problem. I promise! I have all my evidence intact. Because this is robbery! Day light robbery!!!

Chipper is a scam.
Made a payment on an invoice and money was deducted from my account yet invoice wasnt paid. I tried to contact them both on chat and the support email and no response. Deal with them at your own risk

It's unfortunate that when I wanted to sign up for the Chipper Cash, I checked only the reviews on Play Store (apparently, they reply to critical reviews of the flaws and huge scam they operate and get the reviews deleted), and the review/recommendation of another fintech blog (obviously, the fintech is a scam which I only recently got to realize).

I bought virtual card from them, naira card and #1,000 was deducted from me. Not a bad bargain, is it? Where are the card details? I was given no CVV and given no card number. Contacting their customer service, they failed to respond to my query for over 2 days. I then wrote a review on Play Store to at least prompt others from falling for their scam, they responded with a developer message which I saw in my email to contact their support, support that had consistently failed to respond for 2 days, and to check the review back on Google Play Store, the review had been deleted. Coincidence?

I had funded this card, and wherein upon I decided to refund it first to get back my sanity cause I still cannot fathom how a Nigerian CBN approved financial institution would be operating such an obvious scam and be getting away with it. I had only funded the card with about #30,000 naira. Test amount I had called it. There was no clause, there was no disclaimer, there was no agreement that for every #10,000 that a person sends from the card, the Chipper scam would deduct #500, but they did so anyways. Deducted #500 for every #10,000, #50 for every #1,000. I had never ever heard of such outrageous transfer fees before! And worst, they didn't write it anywhere prior.

That's a second.

Now, I then went on to transfer this said amount back to a normal traditional bank, and the transaction has been pending since. An attempt to withhold my money?

They had already scammed #2,500 from me. Gave me frustrations and stress, and they are still withholding my money. Obviously I contacted their support and nothing.

What is most infuriating is how the scam institution is still being permitted to operate their SCAM in Nigeria.

I wish I could give 0 stars. These people are thieves. Outrageous charges and exchange rates. Not only that, if you have any issues and chat with their customer support line, they won't respond or they would choose when or when not to respond. It's frustrating because I have a transaction that has been pending for a month now, and it hasn't been resolved despite the fact that in this time frame, they've been deducting 'maintenance' charges. I'll soon report them to CBN btw.
