Chips Ahoy Windscreens Avis 

We had a new windscreen fitted early Sept. We needed it done quickly as we were going on holiday. The windscreen is a complex one and Chips Ahoy had it in stock and could do it quickly. So far so good, We were assured by Chips Ahoy that they were one of the recommended installers for Aviva ( our insurance Co), Unusually we had to pay the bill ourselves and told to reclaim from Aviva. We should have realised at this point that something wasn't right ... 3 weeks on and several phone calls and we have now been advised by Aviva that Chips Ahoy are not a recommended installer and they would not pay for the bill. So we are now £680.00 out of pocket to Chips Ahoy. This is just a warning to double check with your insurer that they do use Chips Ahoy before proceeding, or you may be in the same predicament as us,

Brandon was quick and efficient. Chips ahoy as a whole was very good communicating very quick I rang at 5pm by 3:3pm the next day my windscreen was replaced, came to my place of work couldn’t fault them and highly recommend thanks again!

Not good customer service, AVOID company. I booked in to have my windscreen replaced at my house and I paid an £80 deposit so they could order glass. The appointment was cancelled late the night before due to staff sickness. I rebooked an appointment 2 days later at their Basildon unit, an 80 mile round trip from my house. After travelling 30 miles, I received a phone call to say the appointment is cancelled due to a system glitch. I rebooked again for another 2 days later and windscreen was replaced today. Four hours later, I received a call from a Joe saying I had not yet paid. I explained I was a nurse and was working a 13 hour shift so unable to pay until I was home to which he responded that I was sent a payment link and he will keep ringing until I have paid the money. This felt extremely unprofessional and unacceptable customer service. I asked Joe for any discount for the inconvenience to which he simply said no we don’t offer a discount as it was not their fault. Communication between Anthony and Josh was terrible throughout the whole process, both kept ringing me with different information, sending text messages and WhatsApp’s. Very disappointing and harassing a customer after only 4 hours of receiving an invoice is abysmal.

I contacted Chips Ahoy on the Friday and by wed Brandon had come round and done my windscreen, very quick service with plenty of notice on arrival, will use again .

Absolute rubbish company! The quality,service and customer support is non existent! Do not even think to contact them or to use their services! Pay a different company a bit more for quality works instead of using these amateurs!Very disappointed!

DO NOT PAY BEFORE YOU INSPECT THE CAR!!! THEY SCRATCH THE CARS AND APPLY PRIMER ON THE BODY PARTS.. PLEASE READ AND DO NOT TRUST THEM, MOST OF THE POSITIVE REVIEWS ARE BOUGHT, DO NOT FALL IN THE SAME TRAP AS ME.

That's sad this kind of business is allowed to exist. They are nightmare, liers and their quality of works is below any expectations, I have been delayed by almost a week, then instead to come to my address to replace the windscreen as agreed, they asked me to come to them. Once there, I've been told to go arround to Starbucks and wait from 1h to 1h30 min.

When I returned to them after mentioned time I found out that they only removed my old windscreen, then left the car aside and started another car, one man was running from one car to another instead of progress at least with one.

After three hours of waiting when I asked the ''runner'' how long it will take from now, his answer was ''probably another hour or so''...

Then I left, I had to pay for Uber and come back to take the car later. Then their ''boss'', the lier contacted me to say that they have to close down as they can not wait me 15 minutes after their program so I been asked to come tomorrow and leave the car there.

My biggest mistake was to pay before I inspected the car, then after I paid,they took the car out of garage and I found at least 7 new scratches on the car (the car is 16000 miles), a crack on one of the trims and glass primer on the bodywork, it can not be removed, screws missing. Do not use their service as you will be disappointed.

Great friendly service from Anthony who rang to give me a qoute to Charlie who completed the work. Charlie explained everything that would be done along with the warranty.
Fast friendly and at a very good price.

I got my rear windscreen replaced with Chips Ahoy in Basildon. They were very prompt with the quote and found me a good price and quality glass for next working day fitment.
Upon arrival Charlie explained the process to me and advise me when the car would be ready. Once fitted he explained the all windows had to stay shut for 24 hours to allow the screen to fully cure. The service was effortlessly and efficient plus a courtesy call next day to see if I have any issues.

I rang Chips Ahoy for a quote. The quote was much more reasonable than other companies, so I decided to go with them.

I spoke to Brandon and he explained the process, he was very chatty, very polite and arranged a date/time.

When he arrived, he introduced himself, instantly started taking the screen out, worked tidily, and very professional.

With Brandon’s customer service skills, he is a bonus to the company.
I was buying from him!!
He has the ability to put you at ease, answer any questions or queries you have, did the job, no fuse, just got on with it.

Would highly recommend this company and thankyou to Brandon.

The fitter, Brandon, called in advance to say he was on his way. He arrived on-time and set-to immediately to replace the windscreen. He was polite and, after a while, informed me he'd have the job completed within the hour. He actually finished in a little over 45 minutes, including clearing-up and taking payment.
All considered, happy with the product, service and the price!
