I explained that the moisture to the…

I explained that the moisture to the wall was coming in from the inside, and that it seems to be caused by the next door neighbour's actions. I made it very clear in the call that there were no leaks of the water supply pipes, because we have fully refurbished the house 5 months ago and the pipes were all examined during that process. Nevertheless, the company chose to send 2 people to investigate the leak from water supply pipes and when they found none, they all happily wrote a report to my insurer that they didn't find a leak from water supply pipes! A complete waste of everyone's time, and a delay to resolving the actual issue. But I am sure that they get paid for the call out, so it seems that it doesn't matter what instructions you give them, they will just do their own thing and write reports about it.
fyi I am writing this from Spain, but the issue is concerning my house in London.

Could the directors get in touch please

After contacting the ombudsman, bbc watchdog and the oapers as well as trading standards i would urge anyone also in my position of not having my kitchen flood completed in 19 months to start hassling the company directors, jeremy Hyams, Matt Brady, chris corgfield, heather lambert, owen pugh - he is another waste of time as he also ignores our case. Maybe these big directors in there big offices should really know whats happening within their company and how shocking their service is and of the treatment to their customers and look into the vetting process of hiring contractors that are capable and qualified for the job.

One of the most stressful experiences…

One of the most stressful experiences of my life! I was passed from pillar to post whilst different departments 'sent emails'. Our water leak was ignored for 4 MONTHS! During that time it flooded our drive, back garden and our neighbours' gardens. The insurance company ignored advice and instead of laying a new water main decided to take down our fence and dig up our plants and driveway. The leak couldn't be repaired so they ended up laying a new main anyway! All work scheduled was as direct result of me phoning, chasing and co-ordinating matters, pushing the claim through the process myself. Not once was my call returned from any department. Customer service was non existant. I made a complaint and the response didn't actually address the issues so I'm now complaining to the Ombudsman. After advice from the water board on how I could accelerate the claim it was finally fixed - 4 months later! We were left without water in the end over a bank holiday weekend as it was leaking so quickly. The damage to our fence and the dead, long established plants that were un-necessarily dug up have still not been replaced. I'm mustering the strength and energy required to address this issue with them. A horrible, horrible experience!!

Dodgy workmen

If I could use - stars then this would be correct.
How about using contractors that have had to fix my flooring 4 times since they laid it, how about the same contractors just not coming anymore and leaving all their stuff in your kitchen 3 weeks before xmas, ho about using contractors that have managed to cause damage to a brand new kitchen totaling to £7000 then to be told the dodgy workmen had to come back to fix it
Hen I refused to have them back in for these reasons as wel as the flooring guy always having a hangover and never really turning up or turning up for hours work, I was told they have no contractors available so I had to find one, ridiculous service!!!!

Water leak insurance claim

CCG were the project managers on behalf of Ageas Insurance for a relatively small claim resulting from an underfloor water leak between our dining room and kitchen, complicated by the presence of asbestos containing floor tiles. From start to finish they coordinated the activities of the various contractors involved and kept me fully informed throughout.

Having a water leak is stressful and…

Having a water leak is stressful and scary and having to turn the water off at the mains is a real inconvenience. We take for granted that we wash our hands, flush the loo etc etc but after so many phone calls, I spoke to Laura at PCD to ask when the contractors report would be assessed and sent to my insurance company so that my leak would be fixed…her reply was “At least you have water and some people have a water leak indoors” this was not what I wanted to hear. She advised 10 working days to assess the report but my Insurance handler advised me it is 2 days.
Of course I feel for people with internal leaks but empathy did not exist !!

0 STARS!! Diabolical loss adjusting service, completely incompetent!

We currently have a claim being 'managed' by Claims Consortium Group however the process throughout has been nothing short of DIABOLICAL!!!!

We are 10months into our claim journey following a severe house flood back in October 2023 with no end in sight of being able to move back to our family home. We have had nothing but delay after delay from the loss adjusting team. They have been unprofessional, unethical and demonstrated a complete lack of empathy to our situation. We have logged formal complaints which did come with an acknowledgement of the poor way our claim has been handled but no improvements have been made. The amount of upset and stress this is causing us is unbearable. We have waited 10 weeks at a time for a response from the loss adjustor handling our claim, they completely ignore us despite multiple attempts to contact them. It took 6 months to agree a schedule of works and start date for the reinstatement works to begin on our property, during that time it sat empty and developed secondary damage with black mould upstairs. We have just found out our builder is downing tools due to Claims Consortium not paying the invoice on time and have therefore breached the JCT contract. It's actually unbelievable the amount of issues we have faced due to the loss adjusting teams incompetence during this extremely traumatic time. We are have escalated our concerns to multiple managers including the complaints manager with no response. We have been waiting since February for a settlement on our contents claim with no offer in sight.

Their website states: "effectively manage the customer’s claim so they can get their lives back to normal as soon as possible as well as ensuring our clients do not incur unnecessary costs".

Well I can safely say the loss adjusting team have done the absolute opposite of this, we should of been back in our home months ago ( everyone else who was flooded at the same time as us is). They have done nothing but incur a huge amount of extra costs to their clients (the insurance company) in terms of alternative accommodation costs, secondary damage to our property due to a lack of the proper drying process, I could go on and on!!

I urge anyone taking out any form of insurance to check which company the insurers use to manage a claim and if its Claims Consortium Group then avoid, avoid, avoid!!

Matt

Matt was such a lovely man and went the extra mile to help me. He located where the problem was and even located the outside metre even though the office had sent him by mistake instead of an indoor plumber and he’d driven over from Lincolnshire. My experience with this company was definitely 5*****

Appalling

Just awful. Still waiting for this company to fully address our claim from June 2023! They just ignore emails/requests for reimbursement and don't provide a copy of the their complaints procedure when asked. I note that in response to previous negative reviews, this company suggests that you email its customer service department. Done that. These emails are also ignored.
