I cancelled the same day I started the free trial, then get hit with a bill for a poor service. Then I receive an automated email saying the money will not be refunded!
Disgusting and the platform is useless!

Disgusting and the platform is useless!
What a scam, debiting your account and if you want use if ‘in your paid month’ you still have to pay a per report cost too!! Stay away!
This company is a scam. I signed up for a 7-day trial and canceled it. They still charged me €29.99 on August 17th. When I requested a refund based on my legal 14-day right of withdrawal under EU Consumer Protection Laws (Directive 2011/83/EU), their support sent me nothing but automated template responses refusing to address the refund. I have not used any services since the charge. I am filing an official complaint with the European Consumer Centre (ECC-Net) today for unfair commercial practices and illegal refund denial. Give me my money back!
A big scam!!! The report that you receive gives you nothing, absolutely nothing substantial. Please do not be fooled.
€29 was debited from my account for a subscription to which I had not given my informed consent and for which I had no interest. I was not clearly informed in advance of any recurring charges.
As soon as I noticed the payment, I immediately wrote to customer support, requesting cancellation and a refund. They confirmed the cancellation but refused to refund the amount, stating that digital access and ‘lookup credits’ are non-refundable. As an EU consumer, I do not agree with this approach — such terms and conditions cannot override the statutory right of withdrawal.
The whole thing strikes me as a business model built on the fact that it is difficult for people to cancel and even harder to get their money back.
Hidden subscription trap — Stay away!
I paid €1 via Apple Pay for what was advertised as a one-time phone lookup service. Without clear warning or a prominent confirmation, ClearSearch quietly enrolled me into a recurring subscription and charged €29.99 just a week later.
When I contacted their support to explain that I never intended to subscribe and haven't used their service since, they flatly refused to grant a refund, citing their non-refundable digital policy.
This is a classic dark pattern / subscription trap designed to trick users out of their money. Very disappointing and unethical experience. Avoid this service!
It is a scam. I needed to use their website to look up a phone number and the fee was supposed to be a one time thing but then about two weeks later I was charged a 30€ subscription fee without my knowledge or consent. When I reached out the support team requesting a refund, they said it was non-refundable despite them charging me 30€ without my approval or knowledge.
So to anyone that reads this, save yourself the trouble and don't use their services.
Do not trust this company. I signed up for a "free" trial and tried to cancel the exact same day. Due to severe internet blackouts in Ukraine, my cancellation didn't process. I contacted their support literally 5 minutes after the charge hit my account, explaining the situation and the fact that I had never used a single "lookup credit."
Instead of showing basic human decency, they sent a robotic, copy-pasted refusal stating that "digital access was delivered." They do not care about extreme circumstances; they only care about pocketing your money for an entirely unused service. A heartless, predatory business. Avoid at all costs!
Rip Off !
The web site "clearsearch" represents absolutely no serious service to its customers (= victims) and it has been designed purely as a dubious generator of funds stolen from those who make a mistake of a "registration".
Be careful and avoid any contact !
SCAMMERS! I just wanted one report and they subscribed me for 35 USD per month, there is no clear way to unsuscribe. They directly STEAL the money. SCAMMERS!!! Avoid at all costs!!!!!
I subscribed to them by accident, I didn't get the credits, and they didn't give me my money back. This company is a waste.
Horrible. i purcharse one time look on number. just one. They decided after 2 monts i have subscription and stole 32 euro from me. I ask what is happening , you stole my money for food and they told me "haha sooooory, you need use unsub, bye" disgusting
Very nice with the subscription! Please be aware that upon account creation you are opt-in for a monthly subscription. And the guys just made this horrible UI where there is only place to enter manage subscriptions.
It is under the Customer Support section -> Cancellations
I paid the 1€ trial and they automatically made a subscription of it. Already canceled, over a month ago,and explained multiple times that I cancelled the subscription that I didn’t even subscribe myself. They keep giving me the same stupid answer and charging me 29,99€. They are stealing from me!
I accidentally entered the wrong email address when purchasing a subscription. Since then, I have repeatedly contacted support, explained that I do not have access to that email address, and provided proof of payment confirming that I am the person who paid for the subscription.
Unfortunately, every response I received was the same automated template telling me to log into the account or check the inbox of an email address that I have already explained I cannot access.
I also tried to follow their instructions, but the website repeatedly displayed an “Internal server error”, making it impossible to access the account or manage the subscription. I even sent screenshots of the error, but my issue still was not addressed.
At no point did I receive a meaningful response from a human representative or a practical solution. I simply wanted my subscription to be canceled, but the support process has been extremely frustrating.
Based on my experience, customer support relies heavily on automated replies and did not resolve my problem despite repeated explanations and supporting evidence.
SCAM! I paid 1€ for number search, due to poor results they refunded 1€ immediately after results by themselves. After week they charged me 29.99€ (TWICE!! so..they stole from me nearly 60€ for nothing!!) for subscription what I never agreed and never wanted!
They told me it's non-refund even when I never ordered/agreed with their subscription.
I contacted my bank and processing refund.
Customer service is bot only.
Impossible to cancel subscription what I never ordered. I take down my card..
Edit: Big thanks to Revolut! They did everything for chargeback (for both transactions) and I have all money back after 5 days.
"Scam site, support is a bot, impossible to cancel subscription"
On 3 May 2026 I purchased what was advertised as a $1 trial via Apple Pay. On 10 May 2026, after exactly 7 days, my card was charged €29.99 for a recurring subscription. The auto-renewal terms were not clearly and prominently disclosed at the point of purchase.
The service does not function as advertised. Despite an active paid subscription and available lookup credits, the search functionality does not execute lookups — the search button does not return results. I reproduced this on multiple queries and dates and recorded a screen capture demonstrating the defect.
I filed a refund request directly with their support team under Section 3.5 ("Technical Errors") of their own published Refund and Cancellation Policy, which states verbatim that "refunds for technical issues may be considered within 30 days of purchase, on a case-by-case basis" upon submission of device info, reproduction steps, and a screenshot or screen recording. I submitted all of these materials.
The merchant replied within approximately 60 seconds with a generic automated message that ignored Section 3.5 entirely and cited a generic non-refundability clause. I escalated, citing the policy text directly. A second reply arrived within approximately 120 seconds, again automated, again ignoring Section 3.5, again repeating the same non-refundability boilerplate. No case reference, no human reviewer signature, no acknowledgement that the screen recording was reviewed.
The merchant publishes a refund pathway they do not operationally honor, despite advertising 24/7 support. Reviews on the merchant's own domain are self-hosted and not independently verified.
I have filed a chargeback with my card issuer and submitted a complaint to Apple Pay regarding misuse of Apple Pay for misleading subscription practices.
Subscription cancelled 10 May 2026.
