Clent Nurseries Avis 

Trying to return a rattan garden set due to 5 out of 6 damaged chairs was hard work. When I said it looked like they had been dragged owner/manager Phil immediately defended and said that they hadn't. How had they been damaged? How do I know this set had been previously returned or even seconds. He was trying to force me to take replacement chairs from the manufacturers to deny a refund. The manufacturers wasn't happy he was doing this and told me I had 30 days for a refund from Clent Nursery. He even told me that if the box that the table came in had been opened then I couldn't return. It was rattan and glass, we needed to check it wasn't broken. It's soon clear to see that he's untrustworthy, doesn't listen but will insist hes doing everything to help. In reality he's delaying or trying to deny you getting a refund. The manufacturers aren't happy with his behaviour. I did get my refund but it took persistence and several phone calls over 2 days. We also insisted we got our delivery fee back which he didn't want to refund till we persisted, purely because of the terrible service we encountered. He even sends his delivery guy out to lift heavy furniture on his own. He even asked me if there was anybody to aid his delivery guy. We had a bad experience which was avoidable, will never return.

The food is always very good, the only thing for me that lets it down is the tables always seem dirty & sticky. Not very pleasant but would only take you minutes to rectify.

Overpriced low quality bacon and sausage on breakfast.cheap margarine instead of butter.would not go again.

We used to be a regular customer for Sunday lunch however when chef left and no cooked food available we reluctantly move on else where. After recently reading that Clive had passed away and a new cat named Toby was resident in store we thought it was time to revisit and reacquaint for Sunday lunch.
Not a good experience, It was very cold in the restaurant and we along with most other customers elected to keep coats on to eat, people were looking at each other and nodding their heads in disbelief.
First thoughts was to leave and try elsewhere however partner said to stick with it so we ordered two meals and tea for two.
One dinner served on a luke warm plate with wet vegetables lying limp in bottom of bowl !!! (Unlike others served with vegetables piled high in their bowls, perhaps regular visitors receive preferential service).
One fish & chips meal served on a luke warm plate, fish crispy on top soggy on bottom.
Both meals cold before being able to fully consume due to low plate & room temperature.
We drank the tea to keep ourselves warm before the meals arrived and at £30.00+ did not feel like purchasing any additional drinks.
Waitress moving around tables in our vicinity enquiring if everything is satisfactory however skirted around our table as if aware that we were not going give a complimentary reply.
We did previously receive phone calls from Clent nursery informing that a chef was now employed enabling them to resume cooked lunches however based on this experience we will remain lunching at alternative Ashwood garden centre where value for money and consistency of service is guaranteed.

Came for something to eat today 17th September and I ordered a poached egg a few minutes later the girl came out and said we stopped serving at 12pm because of dinners I said oh ok she said i can choose something else or have my money Back I had a cheese and onion sandwich which I didn’t want cus I really wanted the poached egg on toast I thought it was disgusting the chef couldn’t just honour it as it’s not my fault the girl on the counter didn’t tell me the kitchen stopped serving breakfast at 12 it’s disgusting cus surely she could of said when I ordered it the kitchen stops at 12 because of dinners the chef could of honoured it no excuse really why he couldn’t of just said we will honour it this time as it wasn’t your fault really the girl should of known and told me very bad manager didn’t say anything to her I left feeling disappointed because everything else on the menu were over priced which is a shame x

No stars rude check out staff need I suggest some training in customer service or maybe get some staff that actually like their job, avoid at all costs plenty of other nurseries near by who offer great customer service and plants with plenty of life.

I purchased over £140 worth of plants and compost from Clent nurseries. When I got home, I saw that I had been charged £22.49 for a £12.99 shrub. I live 70 miles away and was away on holiday for a week but I returned to Clent at the first opportunity which was 3 weeks later. I had the receipt and I photographed all the plants with their price tags clearly visible. The member of staff who had served me was very apologetic and agreed that I had been overcharged. She said she would just have to "check with the boss" regarding the refund. She spoke to him on the phone and then said, There's nothing we can do. It's been 3 weeks." I asked to speak to the manager. She refused to get him at first but when I insisted, she said she would try. I was told he must have "popped out" so was unavailable. I have emailed him twice and sent photos of my purchases and my receipt. He has not even responded. Shocking customer service. I was a regular customer, as were family members who live locally but we will never use or recommend this business again.

Ordered plants from here during lockdown. Had a choice of safe collection slot or delivery. Opted for delivery. Ordered Sunday night got a phone call to arrange a time to deliver next day and by lunchtime they were delivered.
