While my medication was issued with no problems I do seriously object to the use of vast quantities of single use plastic bags

The pharmacy is so helpful and what to sort out any issues you may have and explain things in detail so you understand any medication issues. nothing is too much trouble. I have been using this pharmacy for many many years and I can only have good things to say about them. They make you feel very comfortable and they always want to do everything they can for me. The pharmacy is also very clean and tidy the staff can find what they are looking for straight away

Cohens at 245 Ribbleton Ave, Preston. Very nice staff here especially Mandy who is very polite and friendly and so helpful. And also David on deliveries, who is a very pleasant and friendly gentleman. Thank you all for your great customer service.

Just moved to home deliveires of my medications from Cohens on Stubbing Lane. I see a few negative reviews? I AM SURPRISED AS I HAVE FOUND THEM AMAZING. The past 3 months of weekly deliveries have been ON TIME & WITH REAL CARE & THOSE delivering have been Fantastic. BIG SHOUT OUT FOR Rachael & Karen. Any phone calls are answered with politeness and professionalism. I say as i find and so far I am SUPER IMPRESSED. Top draw service & I recomend giving them a try for sure 10/10

The staff at Cohens, Rawlinson street, barrow in furness, cumbria are fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Like alot of people, I have many issues, but there understanding and compassion is first class and they have helped me more than they could ever imagine. Thank you so much for what you do for this community 💗

Sadly, the very pleasant and helpful staff who until a few weeks ago,seem to be no longer.
I don't understand the system and organisation of finding ordered prescriptions. Staff seem to check the computer and then search in more than on place for the order. If you get asked to sit and wait - think about it, because on a previous visit, I had to remind them that I was still waiting! Easier today, I was informed my script would be ready in 10 minutes - I return approx 7 hours later and still had to wait. As a previous nurse prescriber, I find their management and system difficult to understand

Was collecting my monthly prescription yesterday 29th July.
Asked Jonathan if I could have my blood pressure read. He asked for someone to do it. Margarita shouted from the back, " you don't need it". I was confused as I have it checked each month when I collect my prescription. I have authostatic hypotension.
Why I asked.
Because your doctor only requires the reading every 6 months.
I replied, I need it.
Why don't you buy your own, she said, not realising she had sold me one last year.
Sticking her nose in where it wasn't wanted caused an unnecessary problem. I felt so small.
Telling me what I need , how does she know.
After upsetting me she said "If be happy to do it".
By this point I was so annoyed I just left the shop.
I'm 79 years old, sometimes I'm vulnerable, like yesterday & I can't find where I put my blood pressure monitor.

Having initially been helped by a friendly and informative member of staff on the telephone with regards an emergency prescription I required I then had to call into Cohens in order to pick-up a 111 prescription.
Upon arriving I was greeted by the member of staff who remembered me from my earlier conversation who advised that I needed to see the pharmacist who was in the consultation room. Even though I had to wait 45 minutes in order to see the pharmacist that in itself was not an issue but the attitude of the pharmacist herself was very much an issue.
After being asked to go into the consultation room and then questioned about my prescription, which if I had gone in with a printed prescription would have been served almost straight away, I was questioned further before being told she would need to go into my personal health care records. A complete waste of my time and will not being going back!

Times were he was poorly and they went out of there way to make sure he got his tablets on time
Every single one of them in the chemist went above and beyond there job
After matthews passing i even got a call asking if i was ok
Ive never experience a chemist like it
I hope they all get reconized for the job they do
Even when the prescription got messed up no fault of theres it was sorted same day thankyou so much

Many thanks to the lady pharmacist who diagnosed my shingles and provided the necessary medication, so sorry I didn't get your name, her expertise and manner was reassuring and professional, and to Shannon who took my BP and arranged an emergency appointment at my GP, same day! Excellent staff, I would go along confident in receiving good advice and treatment.

If I could give it a minus , I would . My husband uses the slaithwaite Cohens chemists and I’m afraid they are terrible . My husband rang to enquire about a delayed prescription , this was at 4:40 pm . The young woman told him it was ready for pick up and they were open until 6pm . So after work we went on and arrived a 5:57 pm to see them all exiting the building in there uniforms , They all watched my husband enter the building … then they started looking at there watches .. they had shut early , the shutters inside the building were down, meaning they had shut much earlier . When we asked one of the pharmacy workers he made the excuse that the pharmacist had had to leave early on a family emergency . We were just picking up a prescription that had already been fulfilled . When I asked him to be honest and admit they had shut up early , he got defensive and started justifying that they were open all the time … we wouldn’t have made the trip had the young woman not told us it was ready for pick up .
The young man we spoke to was so quick to defend himself and could not admit his fault … sadly this is not the first time we have had problems . I know there will be no consequence for his actions and untruths … and that’s the sad part . It’s no wonder Cohens chemist is loosing money when the staff do such a poor job .

staff are nice. The Pharmacist is always most caring & helpful. An excellent addition is a great sense of humour. A pleasure to visit. No more staff changes please.

Incredibly they persist in using plastic bags for prescriptions. These bags are not widely recyclable, and when they do break down (very slowly) they can release toxins and microplastics which can accumulate in ecosystems.
Come on Cohens, time to start doing your bit for the environment!

I get my prescription delivered by Cohens chemist, Friars lane, Barrow, to my home, due to several health issues including bad flare ups of Arthritis. I was to receive a prescription on 3rd June to my home, but have been laid up with a flare up of arthritis. I called the chemist after I heard the door and couldnt get down fast enough to receive the delivery of medication, including arthritis medicine Colchicine. The manager answered my call, but said nothing she could do, can I come pick the medication up or can someone come. I told the manager there was no one, But I would still call around and try find. I was unable to find anyone, so thought the chemist would re deliver this week Tuesday 9th June. They didn't, This is what they do, they will hold the prescription and not bother until I call and call to have it re delivered. It's like being put in a position of begging. They are very abrupt when I call. Terrible service.

I love the staff however on multipull times i phoned to check on my medz some of the staff there said yes its ready i traveld there to find out its fauls nothing was there noy even a sorry inconveniant some staff are rude not.all some . To try nd call them takes me about 7 attemts to get through i tried all kinds of times to see and still the same .. ill be moveing back to my other pharmacy

I have used Cohens Chemist in Heywood for years,I took a prescription in yesterday but they were 3 tablets short would I pick them up today the pharmacist was really and said just come Friday and they will be ready,there were only me and two others,after 10 minutes I admit I was getting a bit anxious a nice young who was learning tried to sort but having a problem finding it I understand that but one of the staff shouted over he was learning and I said I hadn’t a problem with him by then there was several customers in and this staff member a girl with dark hair shouted over to me I said I only want 3tablets she then said we work for pennies and it doesn’t work like that she said go Somewhere else if you don’t like it.I am 78 a recent widow and not very well I felt angry and embarrassed and I admit I told her to piss off which I am ashamed off they way she spoke to me was so disrespectful and when I left I was very upset .

GP sent me as they had no appointments to dip a urine sample. Despite Cohens having a sign on the window saying they can treat minor conditions such as UTI all i was offered was a chat about symptoms, told to see my GP and suffered through a sales pitch about buying their UTI testing kits- of which they can’t take any action on the results.

Just a trying to coast of pharmacy first, misleading customers and not being useful at all.

I called to get my monthly prescriptions. They asked if they could do my blood pressure, it was high 3 times so the chemist ask me to come back on a week day between 10-2. I said it would be Friday, and I needed a text to show work, which i got.
I finished work early on friday, got to the chemist and neither the chemist or manager were on site! I've lost 3 hours pay, cost me £10 in an Uber for nothing. Will be sending an invoice for my time etc.

Arrived in blackpool for 3 nights without my medication the staff at Holmfield especially Anne were amazing got me sorted and kept me up to date lovely staff
