Collarspace, ok but could be better
i have had a profile with CS for over a decade and its predecessor, collarme before that. I would give a lower rating but that wouldn't be fair as I have made quite a number of friends through the site even though it is unarguably self challenged.
does this site take forever to make profile change approvals, yes, even if the change is as simple as your age. but you might find that you get blocked from approval because someone actually took the time to read your write up and found violations to the TOS.
does this site have individuals who come across as scary, sketchy, or dangerous?? absolutely, yet one must take into account that the BDSM community and lifestyle is multifaceted and vastly different from that which most are accustomed and there is a great deal of fantasy role playing involved; the gorean lifestyle, based off fantasy novels, espouses slavery and trade while primal and primitive is more animalistic going back to our preverbal roots, and CNC allows someone to live out a force fantasy. there are so many other different things but the one thing that ties them all together is communication and CS offers a platform to open the dialog into ones interests.
i certainly wouldn't suggest CS to someone new or looking to get into the lifestyle but as a platform to converse and find like minded individuals, without a subscription, it is one of few options.
now the worst things about the site, they do implement terrible senseless changes, without notice, that make finding people to talk with far more challenging, they often experience a lot of glitchy downtime, and they do not have very responsive support services.
