I’ve been using Cotswold Raw for my dogs for quite a while now, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with them.

For context, I’m a clinical canine behaviourist and trainer with additional qualifications in canine nutrition, so the standard of food I choose is something I take very seriously. For me, this sits firmly in the gold standard category.

I feed it to my young Belgian Malinois and my elderly Jack Russell, and the difference it’s made, particularly to my older dog, has been remarkable. He’s far less stiff, moving more freely, and his overall condition, including his teeth, has noticeably improved. It’s one of those changes where you don’t just hope it’s working… you can actually see it.

The quality is consistently excellent… you can genuinely see the difference in the food. Even though everything is finely minced, the vegetable content still looks fresh and recognisable, not like an anonymous mush. The variety of proteins and flavours is another huge plus, because that diversity supports a healthier gut microbiome.

That’s something people often overlook, but in my line of work it’s incredibly important. A well-supported gut microbiome has a direct impact on behaviour via the gut-brain axis, so feeding a varied, high-quality diet isn’t just about physical health… it plays a role in emotional and behavioural stability too.

Delivery has always been reliable and well packaged, which is crucial with raw feeding, and their pricing is very reasonable for the quality you’re getting.

Overall, they feel like a company that genuinely cares about what they’re producing. It’s proper, high-quality raw food done right… and it shows in your dogs.

I get a subscription from Cotswold Raw. It always arrives on time and makes getting food for my dogs so easy. My dogs absolutely love their food (they can be fussy!) and even better it’s so good for them. Any time I’ve had to contact customer services, they’ve always been so helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend and love being a customer!

Never had an issue ever. Great quality great customer service nothing’s too much bother. I’m pregnant and the delivery driver without even having to be asked has learned where the best place to put the food for me is so I don’t have to lift it. He remembers each week which is so thoughtful.

We’ve found this food to be the most suitable for our 6 year-old Romanian rescue. We used to buy it from our local pet shop but they didn’t stock the 500g packs and I found the 1kg packs difficult to use. I therefore ordered direct and was pleased with the delivery speed and packaging. However, I did feel an introductory discount as a new customer should have been offered. My pet shop is now stocking the 500g packs and is offering a loyalty/discount scheme so I’ll go back to them. But at least I know I can order direct easily.

Currently using the subscription for 16kg of 1kg packs, for my GSD. He has had trouble gaining weight on a variety of food (dry food, wet food, and previously another brand of raw food that wasn't complete), and yet he's already gaining a healthy amount with the active mince. He's loving it, his poo's are healthy and his coat is already looking fantastic again. Very, very pleased with this food and the company are fantastic also. Had a query regarding when the food was being dispatched and was responded to within 24 hours. Cannot fault the company or the dog food.
