Dakmart Avis 5

Should be zero stars. They are terrible to do business with. They owe me over $180 and will not return my calls.

I located dakmart from a manufacturer's list of authorized retailers. The product I wanted msrps at $350, retails at $270, and was available from dakmart as a manufacturer refurb for $80. I ordered on New Years Eve (a Friday) and received the product on Monday. It could have been packed more securely, but there was no damage to the items inside whatsoever so I guess they know what they're doing. The contents were identical to what is included in retail packaging and I could find no indication on any of the items that they were anything but new. The item functions perfectly and I am very pleased. Note that this item was available refurbished from sellers who were not authorized and did not include the manufacturer warranty, and they were charging the same. If you are picky and want to have your hand held then maybe you shouldn't shop for refurbs. If you know what you want you can save a fortune with this company and they ship remarkably fast (with some added kudos to the USPS on that subject as well).

Dakmart is a large scale seller of REFURBISHED products. They have a large presence on eBay, because of the sheer volume of items that they sell.

Their item descriptions are poorly punctuated and often have the word "refurbished" tucked into the content in a way that is a little ambiguous. Are they talking about an accessory or the actual product? Well, why not go and inquire, right?

I made such an inquiry. I sent a message to "Dakmart", inquiring about one of their products that had a rather jumbled description. I sent a message to the seller, simply asking them if to confirm if the item was new or refurbished. Their reply?

"We are sorry you are so confused. Read the description again."

What?? They took the time to reply and didn't simply tell me if the item was refurbished? That is obnoxious. I replied, telling them that I did find the word "refurbished" buried deep in their description (lacking any sensible punctuation). I suggested they make it more visible, so people know what they are getting. Their reply?

"we are soory you are still confused. We suggest you seek help thanks again.."

So, be sure that Dakmart IS RUDE AND SARCASTIC. Definitely. I REFUSE to buy from obnoxious people like this, who still make a ton of money on unsuspecting people. This is why they feel they can enjoy being rude to people. If you have a problem with your order, WATCH OUT. I used "Toolhaus.org" to research their feedback. AWFUL! Many people complain of having problems with them. This is no bargain seller... it is a nightmare waiting to happen.

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID...

I ordered a Denon AVR-3808CI from Dakmart.com beacause they were the lowest of all the Authorized Denon daelers. ( a LOT of sellers of Denon on the web are scammers)

I ordered it on Sunday 5/3/2009. I recevied a payment confirmation a few minutes later.

The following day, I got a tracking #
I live in Atlanta, and I guess they are in Florida... so I got it on Wednesday.... What more can I say...
I saved $300 and I am ilistening to it now....

They lied to me, shipped me a product I didn't order which was so poorly packaged it arrived missing a part and now they won't take it back or return calls. In America that's stealing.
I found on their website the uniden phone I'd been looking for with 3 handsets. The page with the phone did not list anywhere that it was refurbished, but just to be safe I phoned them and they told me it was new in the box, so I ordered it. It arrived in a beat-up box for the 4 handset model with all the parts rattling around and a piece of tape it looked like UPS had slapped on it. On the exterior of the box they had simply crossed out the 4 with a pen and written in 3. So obviously this was not a new product. Upon opening the box I discovered the battery for one of the handsets was missing and not from uniden identifying the unit as a refurb. I called them up and told them the problem. They said the site said it was a refurb, we both went to the site while on the phone and it turns out that from one page it does and from the one I ordered from it did not. Yet they still refuse to give me a 100% refund and pay for shipping even though this is 100% their mistake. They're thieves!
